I fight for all the detachments and work with them. I'll advocate for the IOC when the IOC needs advocating for. But don't pretend a gunner is an IOC costume, you know better.

Also we don't own boots, gloves, belt or the cargo pants. Plenty other detachments use those. Even the rank bar is used in other detachments.

Also thank for proving my point bud!

The metric I'm using is that this character is wearing a gunner helmet, which is the literal logo of IGC. Also, they already have the Imperial Weapons Tech CRL, which is nearly identical to this one in terms of the overall design—Gunner helmet, grey outfit, etc.

An officer tunic is the only officer exclusive part of this. You don't need experts for that item because tunics are readily available.

There's no pushback for the reasons you think they are because or because it's a bad idea. It's all technical. Dual affiliation requires a lot of backend tech work and would consume a lot of time. Going through 30000 approved kits to update detachment affiliation would be challenging. Most people only use the detachment for merch runs and kit assistance. The active users that would appreciate the feature are a minority. Is it worth the time? I don't think so, personally.

The system we have right now is fine; if it aint broke, don't fix it.

    ACD, not Blizzard Force.

That is a good message, but not everyone on your staff believes that. People here treat the IOC as the best detachment in the legion; every other detachment is beneath the IOC. (I guess that's a fitting attitude for officers) There is nothing wrong with detachment pride, but once you start trying to steal CRLs from other detachments or being rude towards other detachment members or staffers, you're an elitist. Not saying you are, but again, there are people here and on the IOC staff that take this way too seriously, those people need to do a reality check. Plastic spaceman club, not the actual Empire.

When you start stepping on other detachments' toes, you only create anger in this group. That has happened here and it flies in the face of stronger together.

Because, as you said, we are stronger together. I'm a member of multiple detachments and will advocate for them equally. We dont have a claim to this. They wear gunner helmets. Let's stop picking fights with other detachments, please. Andor and Mando have given us plenty of new officer things. Don't pretend a tech wearing a gunner helmet belongs in the IOC, when the ICG already has a similar CRL.

If people here think this belongs in the IOC, consider this. The ICG has six CRLs; we have close to 50. They rarely get new characters to create. Time to put your money where your mouth is. This is stronger together. The ICG deserves this CRL, not the IOC.

There is no changing room. The venue has bars, a restaurant and is one of the city's largest indoor gardens.

The theme is the Empire at cocktails. While an IOC costume is not required, you'll probably look out of place in armor. Most will be in Officer uniforms. My spouse is Rebel Legion and so he's made a Senator.

British army tunic hooks. Apparently they use/used them in their dress tunics to hold the belt in place. Thanks to Sheev for the pic.

On episode 6 we can see some kind of metal piece at each side of the military officers jacket to hold the belt. Can't get any screenshots right now but check minute 6:28 for example, on Colonel Petigar and 6:42 for Commandant Jayhold Beehaz (but I know this would be a completely new CRL). Can't remember if Lieutenant Gorn have this too.

Folks, I received word from the LMO office that they have determined that the imperial army trooper as seen in the show Andor will have the CRL made in the Spec ops detachment.

it will go there unless a new detachment is created to house it.

thank you everyone for your interest and passion.

Lance Corporal (1 stripe) and Corporal (2 stripes) both referred to verbally as just Corporal

Thank you very much! This makes much sense indeed. I will modified then to this classification:
Army trooper- Soldier, lance corporal (1 stripe) and corporal (2 stripes). Also there is a kind of "butler" version that we see. Army trooper with armor- Soldier, and lance corporal (1 stripe) Army trooper with armor and helmet-Soldier

Sorry if it’s the wrong thread to post, but I think the troopers with one stripe are a lance corporal. When the pilgrims show up the trooper with the white stripe is referred to as corporal, and in the previous episode he’s seen with one stripe on his tunic.

Your pattern for the jacket looks spot on, the jackets had full length zips with the velcro closures and the top velcro closure had a hook closure aswell in the middle of the velcro

The helmeted version I wore was referred to as Imperial Checkpoint Guards.

Squad leaders were the ones with white stripes on the shoulder

    Hello to everyone!

So from our side ( @Bubuc44and I) we have decided to go with this material: https://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/14862-imperial-army-trooper-andor/&do=findComment&comment=185288

The material was the recommendation from our tailor. Also our tailor has made these sketches about the possible layout of the vest and the pants. What do you think about it?

Vest: In this aspect we are pretty sure about it, with the add that pockets on the bottom go all the way down.

Pants: This are more complicated. We don't know if there are horizontal sewing lines in the pant or no...

In some scene like this one, it seems we can see them (be aware of SPOILERS in this picture)-https://photos.app.goo.gl/dMKH4mvRaqYJydPf6

Also, we can already say that the Helmets, specially the flap on the back, are very different in their heights depending on which one is wearing it. You can see an example here (be aware of SPOILERS in this picture)-https://photos.app.goo.gl/MtcokyQ843GXkNYk8

Finally, for the different variants of the Army trooper, that then we'll need to group for CRL, we have:
Army trooper- Soldier, Corporal and something between soldier and corporal. Also there is a kind of "butler" version that we se here (warning of SPOILERS in this picture) and the corporal version with headsets. Army trooper with armor- Soldier, and leader (not sure about what is the grade) Army trooper with armor and helmet-Soldier Anyway, let me know what you think. On our side we'll be talking with our tailor to rty to short out a final scheme for the vest and pants.

No uts different material from the muddy/icat

Apparently we were meant to have the shin greaves but they had broke loads of them by the tike they came to film in Scotland, possible they may show up elsewhere in the series but that was just what I was told on set when I asked

    Middle with the helmet on

The IOC is helping us. We can try to get help from special ops also. But for the time being the discussions in Special Ops is more about the creation of an Army Detachment. The same kind of discussion we are having in Legion Council. Or at least I didn't found the topic for building up the army trooper from Andor (if I missed it, my apologies).

Here we have a thread with at least 3 people interested in doing the army trooper. I have talked with a friend from the Spanish Garrison and IOC, that is also interested. My view is that we should coordinate and help ourselves the best we can over here, and then once we start to build things in the future, we can start to discuss about who will support us for the CRL. Maybe opening up a thread in the central forum will help also to gather more people. Or getting one thread open at Special Ops to coordinate also over there. I don't know. But honestly, for the time being and since I'm more used to this forum, I will remain here.

For the time being, and with ZERO experience in doing a new CRL, I will say that the list to get the build going is:
Find a suitable close enough fabric Get enough references to lay out the scheme of the uniform->Propose the schematics for discussion Get enough references for the accessories of the uniform->Propose accessories Get enough references for the armor uniform->Propose armor Also thanks a lot to @Fraserab for your help. It is just amazing for me to have the possibility of having someone like you helping us out.
@Bubuc44 we'll keep talking about the fabric with Angelica, since I believe the first option she showed us might work.
On my part I'll try to get more screen references and put them in a folder I can share with you all.
EDIT: Here a google picture album to share a few references I have been tacking out from IOC threads and scrennshots.->https://photos.app.goo.gl/mTTxFfWFk8ucffj48
