Officers control most of the ships and arsenals of the Empire. I really enjoy being an officer because of their smooth and unique appearance. I also went for an officer first because of it being less expensive than a hard armor based uniform. I am slowly working on a TIE pilot, but for now, I'll stay with my ISB, Staff and Line officer.

The style of Imperial Officers dates farther back then the nazis. I don't fear wearing my current WIP ISB R1 uniform, nor am I ashamed to do so. My girlfriend and I even walked to our local cinema to see Blade Runner 2049 whilst wearing the uniforms to get a feel for them and to break into our new boots. I'll say it was pretty comfortable wearing the uniform in the theater. Got a lot of "you're 2 months early, officer" comments which made us smile and laugh (considering last Jedi comes out on December 14th here). Had to unbuckle my waist belt though after awhile. People at the theater did recognize us and it was pretty great! If anyone asked us why we dressed the way we did, we just said: "Officers of the Empire need some time off too you know."

... we've even been called a police officer before by some 10 year olds.. that was awkward to say the least.

People who would call an imperial officer a nazi are just ignorant to the artwork that the Star Wars universe is and portrays.

They might as well call any equestrian horse rider a nazi too, cause they wear jodhpurs and boots. The world is full of ignorance and misinformed people.

I know I made my profile image myself using photoshop. I would probably make my own signature, but for now I'm keeping it with text only. I feel most would make it themselves, or request someone to make it for them.

More than likely it was. When EA was looking for armor to base their designs off of they got stuff from a bunch of different places. I had a friend working on that game who asked for pieces be sent to them. That's also how the officer wound up with a Snow Trooper chest and harness as opposed to a Veers / AT-AT Commander. They are great at what they do, but they're not die hard Star Wars fans who notice every little detail like we do.

I recently put an imperial cog patch on the sleeve of an all black jacket of mine. Has a nice imperial flavor to the whole thing.

It’s pretty warm too! Great for the current cool season in Europe.

If you plan on getting a cream uniform from cosplaysky, I suggest you message them beforehand cause I’ve heard that they no longer make them in the ecru/cream color. Might’ve just been a bad rumor or something, but better safe than sorry.

It outlines everything you need to do once you've completed a costume. If you're still in the process of building a costume, Robert's advice of requesting an Adviser is a really good one. We help new cadets in finding pieces that will be accurate, high quality and approved.

I personally enjoyed the movie. Had fun watching it. Quite a lot of action in the movie. I personally found the character progression to be nice. The background expansion on other characters was refreshing. Some surprising things happened, but nothing as baffling as "Luke, I am your father". Whilst I know the movie is in the First Order era, I decided to wear my R1 ISB uniform to celebrate the release of the new movie. My Girlfriend did the same and wore her Staff Officer uniform.

The movie theater I was at had a Scarif backdrop nearby so my Girlfriend and I decided to get our picture taken.

All in all I enjoyed the movie! I personally found it to be entertaining, humor was added in nice moments and there were enough surprises to make me think "wow! Didn't see that coming!". I personally give it a 8/10 if I had to give it a number rating.

SorrowL reacted to captsafe66 in Proper CRL submission/addition procedures.
    Greetings IOC,

I've been forwarded an email by the LMO, a request to submit and update some CRL's.  He's asked me to remind our members that there are proper channels to submit and update a CRL.

We have a CRL discussion forum to post and work through the CRL.  So please post your proposals, all very valid and well thought out BTW, to the CRL discussion area so we can make fast work of them.   Also, the attachments with the bulk of the work wouldn't open, please post them to the proper area as well.

We have published and edited more CRL's by any detachment ever this year, most of them went smoothly.  There have been a few bumps in the road but a CRL is a constantly changing document, always open for interpretation and improvement.   We don't want to revert to the days when the detachments had no say in how a CRL was worded or presented, but that could happen if some of the type of disruptions continue to occur out of the proper chain of progression.

Many may not know that our LMO team member stepped down due to attacks that occurred over the year by certain members.  That has to and will stop now...We will get no more assistance from the LMO team if some of our members can't post in a civil manner.

We don't want to loose our reputation as one of the friendliest detachments in the Legion and I hope that any of the members that may have "rocked the boat" a bit this year, didn't do it with the specific intention to cause friction in our detachment...that will not be acceptable.

I'm not calling anyone out specifically, but making this statement to encourage all the loyal members to call out any negativity as they see it.

Let's keep our detachment and the 501st fun.

    Thanks everyone,
    Mark Ryner/ID-4584

It's really helpful to browse which uniform you'd like to wear. Be sure to read the requirements for each one and see which one you want.

    http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLbyname#ID:_Imperial_Officer

All the green marked square entries include pictures and a ton of detail on what is needed. I'd suggest browsing that and picking which one you'd like to go with. Decide if you want to aim for Level 3 right away, or level 2 or if you're just looking to get into the 501st with level 1 requirements.

after you've chosen what you want, all you have to do is start assembling your uniform. It's completely up to you what you want to start with. If you find anything locally or online, take some pictures, share them on the forum and if you're unsure, a lot of informed members on the forum can help tell you why or why not something is 501st approvable (or CRL level) based on images you share.

A great place to start on the forums I think is the "Getting Started" section, which has a bunch of information on reputable vendors for items.  Tutorials on how to build your own uniform items and tips and tricks also exist on the forum.

    http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/forum/35-howtos-tips-and-tricks/

Another place to start is the Introduction forum. Once you find which uniform you plan on having (or before you do that, it's up to you really), you can introduce yourself to the forum community, say hello! Share some information on who you are and what you love.
