Jo Anns didn't seem to have a whole lot on their site, but I found these other ones on this forum.

I feel like 1 and 3 would be the closest, might get some swatches.
That's a good idea about the CRL though. I saved off several stills as well to show her.

That makes much more sense. Though if it were me, I'd use a cheaper uniform to use as a pattern. Unless they can do it without destroying it.
Why would they have to destroy it? I am scheduling a consultation, but I at least wanted to try and get the fabric portion out of the way. I guess that was my main question: What fabric have you all used?
Night time forum posting isn't my wheelhouse apparently.

Sorry, I meant bringing the uniform to them to use as a pattern to make a completely new one.

So I found a Museum Replica Line Officer uniform, but it is just a little too small. However, since I have the 30 days to return it, I thought I could bring it to a tailor to get done there and I would just buy the material from Jo-Ann's. Has anyone done this? Do they have a fabric there that is good, or did you use another source?

I would suggest going with some PVC riding boots over the Funtasma ones. More comfortable, look better, and generally not that much of a price increase.

Magnoli also has FO boots...but they are $750. I think at that price, plus shipping, you'd be better off finding a custom boot maker.

Is that just the elastic fabric that keeps the bottom of the pants in place?

Buy once, cry once. I try to follow that as much as possible. If you know you are going to be getting the more expensive stuff later on, unless you have a use for the cheap stuff after, just go big. I plan on upgrading my Staff Officer's uniform to Clothears or something similar for the heavier, better looking fabric. However, I will still have my Cosplaysky stuff for summer outdoor events if I feel I need it.

it seems they would be hard to come by. Might have to do the Imperial Boots set, or have someone who does custom work build them.
Side note, I just don't like how bulky the soles look and the presence of a zipper.
-
They are supposed to have an integrated cuff at the top no? They also don't look like they would be tall enough.

The PVC riding boots look significantly better and are more comfortable. Those boots you show are made for multiple sizes and might be floppy. I snagged a new pair from ebay (I forget the brand) but they have cushioning on the inside. My feet and legs are cuddled ever so gently in them.

Just saw it last night and I thought it was really good. Especially considering it was said that 80% had to be re-shot for Ron Howard. Usually massive re-shoots just spells disaster.
I feel like a lot of the hate comes from those "fans" who always think they know better, the armchair quarterbacks of Star Wars. Their "head canon" and/or fan fiction was "ruined", so they get super salty and toxic. Thankfully their hate for Solo didn't ruin my enjoyment of it. I went in fairly agnostic about it and was pleasantly surprised. I loved the characters, the story, the score...just everything. My one gripe is that the Patrol Trooper didn't get more screen time, as I really like that look.

If they have to take it apart, I will definitely just return it right away. I am not destroying something like that, especially since the MuR uniforms seemed like they were sought after. I wonder why they stopped?
Thank you for the additional information, this helps a lot!
