Okay gang!  I meant to have this up an hour ago, but I had some last minute costumers stop over for help.
 
So the vote was close, but "keep it the same" won.  However, there was enough people who Sunday works much better for.
Thus, we will be having TWO IOC photos!
 
Both will be inside on the grand concourse stairs (same as the main IOC Photo - yes the third location for that).
We will have one on Friday at 12:30 pm.  If you can make that one, please do!
There will also be one on Sunday at 10:00 am.  That's an hour after the main Legion photo.  Again, both at the same spot.
 
I'll be at both.  But not everyone can be.  So I hope that this makes everyone happy.  Or makes everyone angry.
 
We do need a photographer for Friday.  If anyone has someone they know, PM me.  Otherwise we'll use cellphone cameras.  Everyone has one, and their all pretty darn good.
Drew @Tiger0419 reached out to a Garrison member photographer who has agreed to help us out Friday, so we're covered.
We can do multiple photographers of course (either day), so if you have a significant other, or other family member that wants to use their phone to take a photo by all means do.
 
This is the final plan.  If Reed Pop pulls the rug out on anyone again, I'm throwing my hands up and walking away.

Okay.  Scheduling.  Arghhh!
The mixer is getting bumped to 6 pm at the Hyatt bar area.  ACD is at 5, CTD is at 6, BHG dinner is at 6, DL is at 7 and I have to be at the swag trade at 7:30.
So 6 for us gives me time, and for any dual Detachment members time to try to get to all of them.
Oh and the Kilted Trooper photo is at 5:45.  I'm supposed to be there too.
Anyone else already worn out?

Hello everybody!  We're less than two weeks out now.  Hope the hype train hasn't lost any steam for you.
Here is the IOC events info;
 
Friday April 12th at 12:30 pm - IOC Group Photo (thread can be found HERE )
Friday April 12th at 6:00 pm - IOC Mixer at the Hyatt bar area.
The mixer is set to be two hours before the Swag Trade event, since so many folks will be there anyway.  We're just gonna mill around in the bar area and..  Mix.  I don't know.  Nothing big or flashy.  No uniforms required.  Just hang out and meet folks that we may only know from the forums/Facebook.  Should be a good time!  Bring trading cards if you have 'em.

Well, everything is back up in the air.  The full 501st photo has had it's time, date, and location changed.
That one is now on Sunday at 9 am about a block away at the West building.  From what I understand, this was an edict from Reed Pop and not something the planning committee chose to do.
So for now, the time and location for the IOC photo is still 12:30 at the stairs but that could all change.
I will be working hard to keep the information flowing!

the German Garrison will attend with 2 officers from the IOC at least for all 5 days
I will be there with my Transport Security Officer
and a fellow Admiral ID-32701 will attend in his Line Officer.
We will also bring our Amour (TX shadow Scout and CT 327th Clone) to Chicago.
 
Hope to meet many of you guys there. If you see us, just stop us for a little small talk

I'm coming for all five days. I am sharing a room with a friend at the Hilton next to Grant park. About a 30 minute walk from the action. Now I of course wish I could have found something closer, but I'm happy enough with this.

Just a few pointers for your first time. Comfortable shoes, bring a lunch because convention food is expensive and usually not very good. Lastly, they put out a schedule for each day. Look at it, formulate a plan and stick to it. The main convention floor will all be vendors. Definitely set aside some time to shop. 
My first celebration was extremely overwhelming the first day. I had to step outside and take a breather. Remember to have fun. I hope this helps.
