    Mine are held closed with strong magnets, which connect to a steel plate that's glued in place (magnets won't stick to the aluminum, of course).  The rivet (required) is fake, and the metal us cut away underneath it so it can open.  So if you buy your belt boxes, be sure to ask that the two parts NOT be attached together, else getting them apart is going to be tough, once they're riveted in place.
     
    The downside: Accurately sized belt boxes are too small for trading cards.   But they're perfect for a key on one side, and ID/Credit card/cash on the other.

    Just found out the other day I can make it and will be staying at the Hyatt with some Garrison mates.  Will fly in either Wednesday or maybe Thursday and leaving on Monday.  I'll probably be in my staff officer Friday Afternoon for the IOC photo and Saturday all day.  Friday Morning and Sunday I'll be in Commander Cody.

    I'm coming for all five days. I am sharing a room with a friend at the Hilton next to Grant park. About a 30 minute walk from the action. Now I of course wish I could have found something closer, but I'm happy enough with this.

    Yes indeed, I believe that is the photo that started the Imperial Death Star NCO CRL.

    The others in the photo have been referred to as "hall walkers", and the IOC recently added straight trousers and low quarters as an option for some of the Officer costume.

    Ahaha I can't believe you are actually doing it!  I had so much fun making that mini comic, and to see that you are replicating it in real life makes me beyond exited!
