I got my belt from a vendor off Etsy, goes by SWExpress. I paid $65, shipping and quality was great, but their belts bleed dye very bad, as I learned as soon as I got it. I This vendor seems to be a lesser known one, but for anyone who considers ordering a belt from them, be sure it is for a black tunic or have it treated. My ISB tunic is a mess after just a day of trooping, so I'll be working on getting my tunic cleaned up and getting the belt I ordered sealed this upcoming week. Hopefully I can recover from this rookie mistake for an upcoming troop!

Hopefully this knowledge will help anyone who orders or is considering ordering from this vendor.

I'm in the same shoes as you. I got my belt from the same person, I'm letting you know now, it wont come out, trust me I've tried everything. You cant bleach the tunic because its cream, not white. I'm scraping my ISB and going staff, because that guy's belt ruined my tunic.

  2. Looks good, however, as stated above its not enough to warrant a crl, if you go for LVL 3 you can apply as that character since your officer needs to be based off a certain character for LvL 3.

It's permitted, and yes, there are a few people who have endeavored to cover every possible variant, which really ups their Level 2/3 counts.  (not that those mean much, other than some bragging rights... which I am all for LOL)  For people who just want to troop, it's kinda pointless.  Once you're approved, you can troop it.  Anything else, to them, is just spending more money.  For people who are more into the costuming and accuracy aspect, it's a lot of fun!  (if expensive)

Many costumes have 3+ variants, depending on swapping certain accessories.  ANH, ESB, ROTJ, at least, and sometimes Solo/R1.  (although sometimes, the base costume is different enough to warrant an entirely different base, particularly for those latter two and when you invite extra scrutiny)

As noted, the expectations climb with each re-submission, so ALL the little details, including those which aren't necessarily called out in the CRL, are going to be looked at much more closely.

The one caveat to all that is to not slam our judges with a ton of variants all at once.  I believe there is a sticky message somewhere in the Promotion forums that requests submissions to be kept to one per week.  (Not referring to an L2 submission proceeding to an L3, but rather, avoid submitting 3+ L2 variants all at once, etc.)

    Thanks!

Each submission a member is expected to up their game, money does not necessarily make a good costume, take Rubies for example.

No that's not what I meant. I mean when you work hard on a costume and devote money and time to it, wouldn't you want to fully utilize it?

I figured as much. But technically speaking they are different outfits, I once saw a guy with 34 Lvl 2's thats a lot....

But also if you spend all that money you should be allowed to fully get you costume to its fullest potential.

Thanks, the flightsuit is more of a special commision,a friend of mine has a relative who has made many flightsuits so she'll make it.I'm trying to get as many parts locally to cut costs as I'm making this from my savings and I'm unemployed and in college.

Oh I thought you were getting the jumpsuit from maz! I respect that helping out a friend, definitely do that! I would get the hat from wampawear.

Thank you Thomas,I think I will order the hat but I'll keep looking for a guide. Crowprops is my choice for a praetorian guard I want to make once I get my clearance.Do you think the boots could work if I can remove the strap?

Depends on the character. For bridge crew you dont need the straps for approval, but if you want to get level 3 you need them.

Hi,I;m looking for guides or tutorials for the black cap of the bridge crew and a place to get the or jack boots with shipping to Mexico.I've seenb IB's boots but I'm not sure if I should get them.I have some boots I bought for a TR but I cancelled that one,but they most likely won't work for these.
