  1. Nice find!

Dexter @Bowrider had belt loops in his diagram, but only had two. These photos show them well - three in the back, one in the middle, two to the hips. Same for both Commander and Guard.

I am still looking for my Burton boots. I may have moved them to storage accidentally. I'll find them!

  2. Good news! I have a pair of what seem to be ultra rare Burton boots, in the correct color, in my size. Found them on eBay. This was the only time I've seen them in that color, and the only example I've found out in the world currently.

I also got the additional straps and pads.

    I'll post up photos.

  3. Anyone know what these connector pieces on the rear might be?

Looks like it might be a found piece, like a shaped rubber cap. It is not part of the other snowboard binding pieces.

And any ideas how to make the sole/thread extensions? The black ribbed pieces are added, and there is a shaped ridge around them, then that whole portion is in orange rubber.

Is it the same for rubber?

For the rubber sole, I was planning on using a Plastidip-type product. Mask off the area, spray. I haven't looked into whether an orange exists.

The toe has some added detail which I might try in foam clay or foam.

For fabric/leather painting, I like Angelus paints. They are acrylic, and as Natalie @JynInDisguise said, you can use other acrylics, but Angelus has it figured out and I've had great results with that product. I painted my AT-AT boots with Angelus.

I was thinking about it and I wonder if it’d be possible to find a pair in the exact color and model at a snow apparel place that might have them used.

Unfortunately, living in South Carolina, we don’t have those type of stores very commonly as it only snows once a year lol

I've been surprised they haven't shown up anywhere in a web search, and none on eBay. That's uncommon for contemporary found parts. The production bought all the remaining stock!

The same model is available in different colors. I've had luck painting fabric so that's likely the route I'll take if necessary. Would love to find the correct color though. Good luck!

  6. I may attempt to make a pair of electro boots despite the Burton Moto BOA not being available anywhere in the gray/red (orange) colourway.

The orange sole was "extended" with black ribbed padding added. A vamp strap was added.

The compression straps were Nitro brand ankle straps (pads), ladder straps, and Nitro Raiden ankle connector straps. Haven't figured out the connection at the rear yet.

If I actually piece anything together, I'll post.

Photos lightened, to show strap detail:

  7. Joshua Surkosky suggested I post this question in this thread.

Francesco "MazCave" will be making a Mimban Trenchcoat for me. We have questions, and want to make the most accurate coat. Perhaps answering these questions will give clarity to any discussion about the coat for the CRL updates.

Francesco would like to know if the small details seen in some coat reference should be added. The CRL does not currently mention these. There is a pocket on the right side of the chest, and a seam or pocket along the left lapel, both pointed out in this photo. The details were mentioned by Nathan @Nathanzx10r in a thread about the trenchcoat here:

    Should these details be included?
