The fabric is called Feldgrau. Try doing a search for that, you may find some on Etsy or Ebay. I was lucky enough to have found a costume maker who had bought some from the German garrison.

I also have my line officer based on Veers’ uniform, and I wear my hat all the time when I’m at an event.
