I would certainly think so!  Just be careful of placement.  It's very much towards the back of the boots, not right on the side.

i have found a close up at the strap from a pickture taken at star wars celebration where they put the orginal costume for exhibition.
so im assuming if i get the same strap as on the pickture it will be just perfect for approval. correct?

so just to be clear. i need to get my shoemaker to put the adjustment strap in the top on the boots i linked with a silver buckle and it will be fine for approvel?
