  1. Hi!

So there are a lot of options for the makeup; I'll give you the ones that have worked for me and that I have tried, but if you want more, please do tell.

    Mehron Paradise (Water base)

    - Sky blue
    -Medium blue
    - Dark blue

Pros: The color is excellent, and the shades are ideal for Rebels Thrawn; they are easy to put on and take off.

Cons: As it is water-based, it will come out if you get wet, and you also need to be careful not to ingest this paint.

Note: I would use this one for single-day events and cold weather. It is also the cheapest option listed here.

    Endura performance makeup (alcohol base)

    -Light Blue

    - Blue

    -White

Pros: It lasts up to 4 days, and as it is an FX makeup, it will not stain as much or not at all. It can be applied by brush or airbrush.

Cons: Taking it off is an odyssey, and if used too often, it can cause some damage to your skin, either from the time of use or the strength you need to apply to take it off.

Note: This one for 3 to 4 day long events like conventions, so it is worth to put on. It is expensive and you need to create the shades of the skin with the listed tones, but it is the most resistant one I have tried.

Form X Skin Illustrator (alcohol base)

    - On Ice

    -Cobalt Blue

    - Ultra blue

    -Black

Pros: It lasts up to 3 days, and as it is an FX makeup, it will not stain as much.

It is expensive and you need to create the shades of the skin with the listed tones.

It is also noted that you will almost always stain your uniform... the only way i see is to use a hidden neck but a little would still stain on top of the collar.

As for the lenses I used to get mine form Amazon, the complete red eye is and Sclera lense, but it can be uncomfortable so there's also mini scleras too.

If you use glasses as it has happened to me eventually this won't fit well, so you would need to have some made with your eye measurements.

Here are some options for prescription scleras:

    - 9SFX : Red sclera

    - Wickedeye Z  : Red sclera

Hope this informations helps you and if you need anything else please don't hesitate to contact!

I know @CalaZhan AND @buckrogersbarker were talking about it a month or so ago. Where do we stand?  I think internally, we are getting a list of things to knock out, but we can't actually do anything until the LMO office gets settled in for this term.

Sadly the armour is back on Mexico, I'll be going back in August probably.

I'm also reaching out local people to create a more accurate version of it.

@CalaZhan Do you have Discord?  If you do, find me, I'd love to talk about Thrawn over voice.  TheWizardOfGwendolyn#6578

Btw!  I love your account quote!  I started creating images mapped to each of the chapters, using the cover of the book.

I'm still making final tweaks here and there, but here is an early draft of Chapter 9 (the chapter the quote your using comes from)

I´ll reach out so we can speak.

  4. Hi!
I would love to see Chiss Costumes in the Legion, there's missing components on the reference that exists at the moment but hopefully we will see more of them in the upcoming series.

@TheWizardOfGwendolyn  If you wish to discuss any of this project do not hesitate to contact me, I would love to see this come to life and the more we are the better.

  6. of course is helpful, is good to know that there is interest in this uniform, and as you say we still need some references but i think that it´s enought to at least start the proyect, thats why  I created this thread.

it's refreshing to see more people interested in this as well, maybe will have to wait for more references but I'm certain will see more of her.

For now will have to wait.

Thank you for your amazing concept, let´s wait together and complete it.

  7. Yeah, I do hope he will provide more of his work for Ar'alani, He did the first official illustration of her and he also works in other star wars projects, if not I still find very useful to have contacted him and obtain more insight.

His name is Darren Tan and has done several illustrations, some of them also for table games like Star Wars: Armada.

The illustration of Arálani and Eli was commissioned for the release of Thrawn: Treasons.

    His ArtStation Profile: https://www.artstation.com/wraithdt

  8. Yeah on the Back I made that mistake, no offense taken thanks for pointing it out I´ll correct it when I update my progress.

I'm also waiting for more references, and as you say I think is most likely to come form a comic, also she is a big part on the coming Thrawn trilogy so I'm sure we will see more of her.

  9. I just contacted him, (Darren tan) and I asked him and showed him the sketch, he said everything looks good.

    I´ll qoute the conversation here:

    me:

Hi! I am contacting you because I'm trying to create a CRL of Ar'alani for the 501st, I've able to sketch how her uniform looks approximately based on your amazing illustration, but of course they are asking me for a side and back view and since you created the image I wanted to ask you if you have a reference for that? If not, I was wondering if you could help me with that?

Thanks for your time, and amazing art.

Artist: Hi Lucia. Thanks for reaching out. I haven’t thought of what the back of Ar’alani’s uniform looks like but I would think that it’s similar to an Imperial officer’s uniform with the addition of the shoulder strap.

    Me: That's what I thought!
I will communicate your answer in case they ask me again... Is a bit of paperwork creating the Costume ID, but it will be worth it.
I'll keep you informed if you wish.

That´s the sketch that I created for now, If anything jumps tell me.

    Artist: Yup looks leggit.

if it's required I can show the original messages.
