Once the costume is finished, I'll need detail photos of each and every component, as well as the standard CRL poses (front and back). We will then alert the LMO office and they will create the wiki for us to fill in.

I will take the text that's already written and plug it in there with the photos. Once that is complete, they do a final review.

Could it be a Dropbox folder with all the pictures?

  2. Today another fitting and last details checked by watching „the eye“ another five times. :-)
The boots from Crowprops will arrive tomorrow and end of March everything is ready.

Now that we are coming close to the approval request, how is it working since the CRL isn’t yet in the Database?

Are we applying in the German Garrison and our GMOs get in contact with you?

  3. Today I like to get your opinion on two details, which I spotted after watching Jayholds episode a hundred time.

    a) Boots

In minute 6:38 Jayhold is talking to the other officer and turns around and you could see the boots. I think I spotted a snap on the upper edge.

In minute 11.57 Jayhold is trying to close his Gala belt and does a step back. When you look at the boots I think I also saw a similar closure/snap like we have seen on all officer boots in "Andor" so far, so similar to long Jack boots or the ones from Dedra Meero. Do you agree on that or is it still simple riding boots like a "normal" officer without a snap?

    b) Cloak

In minute 16:49 you could see that the cloak has a cut in the back, its just for the blink of an eye and I tried my best to capture it, but I think the construction is similar to a rain poncho. I added some pictures as an example of the pattern. The cut went up to the middle of the back of Jayhold. Do you agree on that detail?

    Hey there,

As for the belt hooks: after some research I found the british military belt hooks closer to the original than the German ones. They are black, longer, and look to be the same style of how the metal is bent.

Attached are the ones I bought, here is the link to the ebay listing

    One of the many references:

Thank you very much for the link because I need some for Jayhold Beehaz too and you helped to finish my search.

  5. I found a very good silver lace in a small WW reenactment shop in Germany and bought the few remaining metres. On the belt there are two sewn next to each other with a small gap between them (when looking at the pictures it’s a bit more than one cm leather -one cm lace - a small gap - one cm lace - a bit morexthsn one cm leather.
On the hat it’s just one line of lace.
Jayhold is slowly coming to life. :-) :-)

  6. Hi there, I just read on FB that the official officer photo is planned for Thursday April 6th at 5PM local time and I'm wondering why something like this is planned on a day, when SWC didnt even start and most of the people are still travelling to London. Can this please be changed to Friday or Saturday?

Update: Already updated to Friday, forget my request. Thank you very much for the change of date. Looking forward to meet the other officers and having a great party afterwards at the bash. :-)

  7. Happy New Year!

We made some progress and the seamstress got the matching fieldgrey fabric and will start soon.

We will do both versions of the hat and belt, so my husband could wear Jayhold in "normal business mode" and in "gala mode".

    Accessoires nearly complete:

    • rankbar - 100%
    • normal belt - 100%
    • Code cylinder - 100%
    • Hat discs - 100%
    • belt boxes -100%
    • gloves - 100%
    • coffee mug - 100%
    • grey wig - 100%
    • growing a matching beard - in progress ;-)
    • boots - still searching for the perfect ones

Fingers crossed, that everything works with the soft parts.

Speaking ONLY as myself, I am also all for this.

Do we do a "Beehaz" CRL, or a generic "commandant"?

Cause, it bothers me I can't be a generic FO General with the great coat.

Would be great to see this as two CRLs, or tabs with specific characters to no clause bloat.

I just talked about this on a very cold and rainy troop…why isn’t it possible that other officers like a TSO aren’t allowed to use rain coats or trench coats like ISB when it’s cold and rainy? I would assume that every imperial officer would have a set of clothing including a coat.

Maybe this could become a general discussion for the detachment?

  9. @Tutanchseth yes the gala belt runs trough the black on the shoulder. That’s why I described it as a flap.

For the Feldgrau we will check the color by the RAL Color code which would be 7009 for Feldgrau 2.

There are 3 different Feldgrau due to different wars and I suggest that this is Feldgrau 2.

If this is the fabric which is normally used for the „olive-grey“ officers our tailor will order it.

In regards to the collar…I will check.

I just went through the episode again in 4k and made a couple of screens that should shed a lot of light on it.

It seems that there is actually only one seam on the black part of the arm (the one on the back of it).

I've also made a couple of measurments with in-programme ruler as to find out the optimal lenght of the black arm parts and it seems that it's about a quarter (1/4=25%) of the user's arm length from the wrist to the top.

Do you think that his arm only has one seam in total? So only the one in the back or also under the arm?

I will add the quarter description to the CRL, thank you for checking
