  1. @Angelus looks like this was approved!

Here are the notes from the LMO team:

The next step is to get the CRL finalized in collaboration with the LMO team as there are some comments regarding the accuracy of the costume in the build thread to the source visuals supplied. We are hoping that we can work together to have the CRL and costume ready in no time.

Well since I have the Andor Tumbler, I decided to try my hand on finding bits for the ANH death star cup, managed to find the Tupperware Jellete bottoms easy enough on ebay, vendor just around the corner from me had 4 complete sets so saved on postage.

Top half will be a bit harder since no one on the RPF has found the original part used... might see about vintage aluminium cups or Thermos lids.994ba6d2a558cf633e9a9f1f36c0a93d.jpg

That's awesome! Share pics when you finish! I love those cups too, but became paralyzed with how to do the top half. THere didn't seem to be a consensus on if that was metal tape or not.

  3. We updated the ISB NS boots L3 requirements to match Dedra.

OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):

    • Original German marching boots or authentic replication.
    • Boots have a top adjustment strap on the outside of the boots.
    • Boots to have a flat top.
    • The straps are set slightly to the rear with the tabs facing the rear.
  4. We updated the ANH Staff officer to further clarify the unique tunic and add graphics to help the GMLs differentiate that this is not just "the black version of the olive tunic"

    Added "special notes" section.

    Special Notes

    • This costume is very rare. This tunic was unique to ANH.
    • It is NOT a black version of the standard olive tunic.
      • The collar clips on the side of the neck instead of the center of the neck.
      • The yoke closes up across the shoulder, instead of coming up to the shoulder seam.
      • The tunic has top stitching in some areas, whereas other tunics have no top stitching.
      • The rear sleeve seam opens at the cuffs, instead of having no opening.
      • The rear of the tunic has double vents (one on each side), whereas other tunics have no vents present.
      • Princess panels extend to the shoulder seam, whereas other tunics extend to the armhole.

    ANHStaffArmHole1.png

    • If the tunic is a black version of the olive tunic, THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT CRL for it. The correct CRL is the Imperial Security Officer (Non Saga).

Updated the picture for the tunic to show what is correct, and what is incorrect.

    ANH Officer tunic2.jpg Tunic, Black
    • Fabric is a medium weight suiting material exactly matching the pants and hat. Gaberdine style weave is most accurate.
    • Tunic is double-breasted with a left over right closure on at the right shoulder-seam.
    • The back of the tunic replicates the look of the double breasted design of the front.
    • Yoke closes up across the shoulder to the top shoulder seam.
    • The standing collar has square corners and is approximately 1.25' to 2' tall and closes snugly.
    • Collar edges close on the right side of the neck with two eye hooks.
      • Collar closure edge aligns with the right shoulder seam.
    • There are code cylinder pockets on both outside panels of the jacket from about half way between the top and bottom on the arm hole.
    • Sleeves are long, and without decoration, containing 2 seams, one along the bottom and one along the back.
    • The rear sleeve seam opens at the cuffs at a length of about 3" (75mm)
    • Tunic has top-stitching in these specific areas:
      • Approximately 1/4" (6mm) from the outer edges of the double breast/double back,
      • Approximately 1" (25,4mm) from the outer edge of the double breast/double back
      • Directly underneath the edge of the code cylinder-pockets
    • Hook and eye fasteners on the uniform are not visible.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):

There is a dart in the top centre of the tunic, this dart is between 2 inches (50.8mm) to the top of the code cylinder pocket in length. There is a seam running the entire circumference of the tunic, dividing it along a line hidden by the uniform belt.

OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
    • Tunic to be secured on the right side by snaps or buttons, not Velcro.
    • There is no topstitching visible anywhere but at the noted points.
    • A cream lining is to be sewn in.

Out of the Open Tip and the Amazon one, which one is more accurate and recommended? Also, how does one go about attaching the metal strip? E6000 is my guess and personally what I'd use.

So, I ordered from OpenTip a second time and got a different cup. It was in line with the Amazon one, so I think it's a crapshoot at this point. One has a thicker metal rim, and the other has more defined grips.

  6. I did get an update this morning about changing the Face L2 requirement.

OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):

    • Facial appearance and hair match very closely to that of Stanley Townsend.

They asked to remove his name and make it something generic like "matches the onscreen character."

Thinking on it, the whole L2 requirement is redundant, so I removed it.

Most of the IOC face character CRLs do not mention this, but GM Tarkin and Moff Gideon do.

Admiral Tarkin's says "must look like Admiral Tarkin from the cartoon".

    Regardless, we are almost there.

I’m most sure if I’m missing something, but I didn’t see the trench coat in the CRL for ISB. Do you got a link to the official rules?

That's because nobody actually made one yet and submitted it yet. I know Wampa Ware has a prototype working but it's not available yet.

Just a single trench-coat, although I love it. It's an olive green that goes with my non-saga military officer.

Not sure if I can wear it with the V2 pants (straight pants), but here it is.

    And, with the v1 pants:

Not a huge fan of the belted look, but here's that one, too:

You can absolutely wear it with the V2! Looks great, too! Sorry to hijack this ISB thread.

  9. I am eager to see what happens when Thrawn shows up. My big question is will grand admirals have a purposefully different shade of white than ISB?

I always thought it was cool he had a white uniform, but I didn't understand if there was a reason both he AND the ISB were the same color tunics, or if the tunics were supposed to even be different. But alas...

We know he's always been in a white uniform so it will be interesting to see how future discussions on this will play out.

Rebels Thrawn is technically, a gray.

As for collar height, @kman and I went into the weeds on this one as you can see on page 2 of this thead.

1.75" is what WW sells, and it looks good on me and @buckrogersbarker.

I think 2 inch collars can work for larger folks, but not for the vast majority of us.

  10. Made some changes to the tunic and hat and wrote the insignia section. Sending this back to the LMOs!

They often augment imperial military forces and lead stormtroopers.

It's on my todo list!  Figuring out how to cast the center bit cleanly is proving a tad challenging, but I got some ideas ;)

Just be careful you don't blow an O ring!
