So here are my reference pictures I used for making this costume, specifically a general overview of the front, the back of the tunic, the boots and the cuff on the sleeves. In the last one you can see the badge and the weave of the fabric.

Hahaha everyone take a breather before this post gets sidetracked. Isn't the most logical next step to just check in w the LMOs to see where this should sit?

Let's not find ourselves in another situation like how members had to start build threads on one forum and then move to another (thinking Aldhani and Ferrix troopers)

this thread was formally submitted to the LMOs for review last week.  We will receive word from them after Celebrations

I have even talked this over with the IGC Detachment leader.  We talked about the uniform and keeping to the stylings of the animated officers regardless of which detachment gets this and goes forward.

And that is the cooperation and discussions needed to produce a costume for all members.

The people who come in and say "it should be here" or "it should be there" and contribute nothing to building the costume do no service to its progress.
We have an outlined process for costume creation.  It is a mediated process involving the LMOs and we will respect it.

That said, the leadership (and potential leadership) of this detachment should advocate for the membership of this detachment and not serve as a proxy for others.

No sense in reinventing the wheel here
We can use the same wording and requirement for the pips here as well.

I feel that, if we don't have examples of the uniforms without these details, we will for sure need to include them.  Right now, we should lean towards making them necessary, but if you find examples without the pips, I feel we can make the pips and hat detail a level 2 and level 3 requirement.

Looking at this photo here, these almost seem gold or brass in color.  I don't think they are pins, so we are looking at paint or vinyl.  Of course it is animated, so construction details are lost.

Do you have any scrap material?  Can you test a paint detail and a vinyl detail so we can compare?

@chicken45 @buckrogersbarker I think that in the last comment I made a mistake, because I saw the other side, sorry.

I have not seen other character without these characteristics in the hat or collar.
So, the questions would be, regarding them
1-it is a necessary or optional characteristic?, considering the other rebel uniform approved
2-this uniform would be approved as a generic or specific character uniform?
3-if I have to add them, I will do it, no problem with that, but should it be painted, with an sticker or embroidered?. And what color (white or dark grey)
happy to do the best for this costume, detachment and Legion.
    Thanks again!!

    Yes, this is real.
We go nuts on details for blasters and other accessories, so why not give the true hero of the empire (caf) it's time in the sun.

I combed through other CRLs and there is precedent!

Boushh has a wookie chain and collar, Jawas have droid callers, AND THE OFFICERS HAVE THEIR CAF TUMBLERS.

Putting this in the CRL will passively broadcast this for years to come. The parts are easy to source on Amazon.
I think there were two different size cups. This wording gives us flexibility to allow both.
Petigar's cup looks smaller than Beehaz's.

Black in color with a stainless steel ring around the top. The outside walls have two recessed areas. Cup is no taller than 6.5 inches, and no wider at the base then 2.6 inches. A strip with the appearance of silver metal is centered inside one of the recessed areas (but not both) and covers any etched markings on the mug.  The strip is .5 inches wide, with a maximum height of 4 inches.
    L2
The metal strip is three dimensional automotive trim (or similar) and not tape.

I agree that the creation of new CRLs to cater to minor details in things like animation styles etc. is unnecessary.
Although there are a few notable differences. The code cylinder clips, the rank badges and the belts. Coburn has the greebles on the other side from the rivet, whereas Krennic does not (It irks me how he’s a lefty with a right handed holster. I suppose when you get promoted to Director you do as you please with a crossdraw six shooter ).
The ISB tunic from a lore standpoint has always been 6F white. Rogue One and Andor had various shades out of necessatiy, as I’m sure you know.
It makes much more sense to add any additional details from BB and other media directly to their Non-Saga CRLs.

The belt boxes have broader applications other than just Beehaz.
It's clear the andor boxes are a wee bit smaller.

Rogue One boxes: 76.2mm tall, 50.8 mm wide, 25.4mm deep, made from metal and have square corners.
Andor boxes are 67mm tall, 45mm wide and 25mm deep, made from resin, painted, and have notched corners.

Most folks trooping would rather have metal ones over resin because...it's stunt vs hero. The metal looks better in real life and will hold up better for years of trooping. We don't have to be "prop accurate" here, but that also should not be discouraged.

I think L2 or 3 would be good for andor sized boxes.

We will, of course, need to change the existing CRLs to allow for Andor boxes. It's been on my to do list for weeks.

May I introduce… a very satisfied Commander Beehaz part

Beard will be trimmed right before celebration, rankbar tossed 180 (my mistake) and beard colored finally.

chicken45 reacted to Detaleader in Andor Black Poncho for non saga Security and Military Officers.
I did some more digging on this episode and I think I have some interesting findings:

    - The Poncho is not made of a nylon entirely I believe. The texture looks almost leather like, except for the Collar itself. The way it flows also looks somewhat heavier than I would believe a thin nylon to be.
    - The closure on the neck is aided by snaps (is that the correct term here?)
    - When the officer rips the poncho off himself on Ferrix, there is something that looks like a seam, but not like velcro

I'll try and get a better screenshot of the last point when I can, but due to the movement in the shot it's not simple. I try to take screenshots from 4k source where I can, so please right click and open on a new tab for maximum texture visibility!

Good Morning @darthcharles @chicken45 @buckrogersbarker Thank you for your comments!!.

    I agree with your point.
However, I did not want to do that until defining if this costume will be a "generic" or an specific "(with name)" costume, considering the previous history of the rebels costume in the detachment. I am mainly talking about the previous rebels officer recently accepted which was accepted as generic with the chance of variations since severals officers are seen in  the cartoon (https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Imperial_military_officer_rebels). This is also because in Rebels there are more black officers, not only this one and considering that, my initial idea was that this could be a generic one. It is something that we have to define. What do you think about?. Thank you very much for your help!!
