I have yet to spot a straight legged version of a warrant officer anywhere. ( I personally don’t think the warrant officer exist in film)

The two of them were in ANH.

First guy is seen telling a squad of stormtroopers "to your stations", then turns to two navy troopers, telling them "come with me".

Second guy is in the detention cell bay when Han, Luke, and Chewie step out of the lift.

It was too long and it left me behind dissatisfied, but I still can't finally say if I like it or not. I'll have to watch it again, maybe then I can say more.

This is my current feeling as well. I hope seeing it a few more times will give me a higher opinion of it. Having said that, usually if a movie (any movie) doesn't strike you the first time, and you hope watching it again will change that opinion, it basically means that you didn't like it and are trying to talk yourself into liking it.

Thank you! It's so hard to tell with all the options out there. Do you think I should keep looking or would this be a good starter pair then?

If they fit, sure. Reading their description, you might want to send them an email asking for more measurements. They don't go into much detail, like calf width, or if the size is describing mens or womens size.

  4. This may be over a lot of people's heads, but I think, given military experience, rank is rank, then cylinders are comparable to skill level/function badge/rate/then calculating LFL F-ups. Piett quickly gained all three of Ozzell's cylinders because he was taking OZELL's exact place precisely. He might have needed them for whatever responsibilities Ozzel kept. He promptly went back to his original Capt display in ROTJ (commonly accepted as a F-up of LFL, given he was still Admiral in the script). Also, Veers  didn't need his single code cylinder wearing his battle armor, yet clearly wore ONE, in his garrison/on-board uniform. Cheers.

Across all CRL's, even the new ones - I don't like seeing new CRL's get different rules applied to them just because they're the "new hotness"

There's no "new hotness", but more of a "try desperately to update that when possible". ;)

Oh, and to put the "decrotive stitching" to rest, that does not include the common three stitching lines found on most screen-used gloves.
