Yes, RO isn't EU, and will probably get it's own section within the OT. Right now, it was just placed somewhere so people didn't have to look all over. The IOC is growing so rapidly in both members, and costumes, it isn't always easy to initially place things in a spot where they make the most sense.  Not to mention that when this site was made, there was only the OT, the Prequels, and the EU which was where everything else was placed.

You should at least replace the top round thing with a male snap & paint that blue.

I walk around with tall Navy Troopers and just stand under their helmets. Keeps me dry.

    Sign up. We don't bite.
Well, I assume we'll all be at Celebration (which we're trooping) but there may be other stuff going on as time draws near. In the past, there's been weddings or quick hospital visits. Orlando is a very troop-heavy area.

Agreed. In my experience, any costume which a taylor didn't personally put a tape measure to your body, could likely stand some upgrades, but ruling them out altogether is absurd, given how hard some of them work to accommodate our high standards.

Remember, costumes aren't always just associated with a detachment by it's name or function. It's physical appearance can be a deciding factor. This costume, being similar to the gunner, gives it fair enough reason to find it's way to the ICG. We are of course, free to research, discuss, and share any information here about it, but it doesn't necessarily have to belong to the IOC.

Good news! A probe droid tracked him back to the Hoth System where Imperial Fleet successfully apprehended him. He's on his way to Lord Vader now.

Holy crap, NOW I get it! I didn't for a second think that there was a difference from the usual rank bar and I still struggle to get my head around it. But Phil's picture is proof =D

I'm sorry I was so dense, and thanks for putting me on the right track. Now to bang out eight aluminium squares...

[MODERATOR NOTE: THIS RANK CHART THREAD IS NOW CONSIDERED OBSOLETE.  PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING THREAD FOR THE CURRENT RANK CHART USED BY THE IOC: ]

    [/END OF MODERATOR NOTE]

This the official guide to illustrate all canon officer ranks recognized by the IOC. It is compiled with reference from the original movies, and official EU sources. It is created from a costuming point of view, and not meant to explain every rank's importance or how they differ from movie to movie (that's what fan fiction is for). It is just a simple chart that shows what rank officially goes on what costume. Code cylinders are intentionally excluded, and can be referenced in the CRLs.

Note Rogue one/Solo ranks are only compatible with Rogue one uniform style

COMMAND STAFF EDIT: There is a more current/comprehensive rank bar guide in this location:

    All good stuff.
    My 2 cents:
Around Stormtroopers & the like, look confident and act like you are in charge.
Around Vader, be attentive while looking nervous.

I don't see a huge difference between his uniform items and anything we've seen before, besides his big ol' capetastic cape of course. Maybe down the road, we'll add the little differences for L2/L3.

At the end of the day, it's up to the GML's best judgement if they want to approve it. I tried to include as much information about boots just to help get the idea across of what approvable boots should ideally be. I think with all the millions of different styles out there, there's always going to be something pop up that's questionable.

Sorry I'm just now seeing this. Just thought I'd give my thoughts on this.
I've never seen a stretch panel in that particular spot, so this is new to me. I'll have to start checking for those.
Stretch panels are specifically mentioned in the CRL because all the ones I've ever seen were on the back, side, or somewhere very obvious, making the boots look inaccurate. As mentioned, zippers on the inner shaft are allowed because they are basically out of plain sight. I think this detail might also fall into that out of sight category & we need to take a look at that. The thought behind it's placement is seemingly the same as having a zipper there, in my opinion. I would say those are fine for basic approval at least. If you can find better ones, or have this detail modified by a cobbler, that's great, but please feel free to quote me in saying I think these are ok for basic.
