    Imperial Officers' Armour
Currently we have two instances of Imperial Officers wearing armour
Grand Moff Tarkin Grand Admiral Thrawn Nothing says "Grand" more than some shiny armour and a funny hat (I mean) Helmet!

While we are in pre-CRL territory it's hard to say who would be allowed to wear these, wether it would be limited to the "Grand" Ranks or limited further to just Tarkin and Thrawn.  Also while it is in pre-CRL Territory, the question on which detachment would look after these is also up for debate:
Imperial Officers Corp, due to them being officers? or Armored Cavalry Detachment - because they look after armoured officers like Veers? But until then, nothing hurts us talking about it here!
(There was a little bit of chatter over in the Q&A forum - Armour Question)

As luck would have it, both sets of armour are different - because standardising it would make way too much sense.

    Grand Moff Tarkin's Armour
Grand Moff Tarkin wears modified AT-DP Armour and Helmet.  The difference being:
Helmet Grey in colour without Faceplate White Inverted Triangle versus Red Armour Field Grey(Olive Drab) in colour with Rank Bar White Inverted Triangle versus Red without Shoulder Bells  without Leg Armour More can be read about the AT-DP Armour over at the Armored Cavalry Detachment - AT-DP Drivers/Imperial Combat Drivers.

It's worth noting that there was a colour change for the armour between the Concept Art and the end product.  Here it is defiantly metal and matches his Belt, Code Cylinders, & Rank Bar but in the actual show it is Field Grey (aka Olive)

    Grand Admiral Thrawn's Armour
Grand Moff Tarkin wears the same Helmet as the AT-DP/Tarkin except recoloured different Armour to Tarkin is more like General Veers but different.  and a recoloured Helmet, The difference being:
Helmet White in colour without Faceplate with White Goggles not sure about decals Armour White in colour with Rank Bar Gold epaulets/shoulder straps rounder at the bottom than Veers missing electronics area (bottom centre) from Veers different buttons on the left hand side (also look illuminated) raised areas on right hand side flattened new seam lines

    Rebels Era Rank Bars
There has been quite a lot of talk about what should and what shouldn't be accepted at what Levels:
Governor Arihnda Pryce CRL Discussion Grand Admiral Thrawn (inc. Generic Grand Admiral) CRL Discussion Rebels Style Rank Bars CRL Discussion - combining Pryce & Grand Admiral discussions  But not much on what actually makes an accurate Rebels Era Rank Bar.

Below is a diagram that I've drawn up of the different bars that we seen in Rebels (if I've missed one PM me and I'll add it in) as well as possible dimensions that I have extrapolated:
Rank Bar: Metal in construction Height - 2 ¼" (57.15 mm) Width 12 Tiled Bar - 4 ¾" (120.65 mm) 6 Tiled Bar - 2 ½" (63.5 mm) 4 Tiled Bar - 1 ¾" (44.45 mm) Rank Bar corners are rounded Radius - ¼" (6.35 mm) Rank Tiles Opaque Acrylic in construction Hight - ¾" (19 mm) Width ½" (12.7 mm) Height - about 1/8" (3.2 mm) Tiles are in a combination of Blue, Red, and Yellow Amber not accepted Rank Tiles are mounted to the Rank Bar with a ¼" (6.4 mm) spaces between them.

Can I ask that we keep the discussion to what is an accurate Rank Bar and not what is accepted at what Levels (there are other threads for that)

Now for what we have all been waiting for, a reference photo of a Line Officer wearing Armour!!!!!

The officer in question is Viggen and while he has no rank if we refer to the handy Official IOC Rank Guide we can probably extrapolate that he's a General.

While I'm not command staff or the LMO, I think we have enough information to say that Officer's can wear armour and would make a good optional accessory
Star Wars Rebels - TV Show (offical) Star Wars Rebels Magazine (official) Wookieepedia (unofficial) With that said, I do this Kris is right in thinking that the Armored Cavalry Detachment will poach a CRL for armoured officers!

Thrawn's Helmet is defiantly AT-DP versus the traditional AT-AT Commander, with the exception of the goggles and goggle step clips.  The armour is similar but unfortunately quite different to the AT-AT Commander and the AT-DP Armour.

First off, a BIG APOLOGIES, for being away lately, a combination of a new job (that firewalls the IOC Forums) and heading up the Star Wars costume clubs booth at Oz Comic Con Melbourne (our largest convention of the year here).

Secondly, a big thank you Cari for all you have done on this and taking ownership of it.  I also offer an apology to you for not being around during the final push on this

As most would know I’ve been a strong advocate not only for this costume but also the Rebel’s Era costumes.  For the majority I love this CRL and it has picked up on a lot of the issues I have had with the direction of the Rebel’s Era CRL’s. I do have a few sections that I would like to discuss before this is finalised.

So that everything doesn’t get lost in a sea of text and reference photos, this is a summary of what will follow:
Level 1 Requirements Battle Gear We should refer to this as “Imperial Officer Battle Armor”, to be consistent with the official LFL description Some of the text I think is confused, probably from the editing process Personally I think the section needs a total re-work, which I have added a suggestion below to  Level 2 Requirements No Issues Level 3 Requirements Tunic – Sleeve Caps Without opening Shoulder-gate, I can’t support this requirement. Boots – Shin Armor I get where this has come from but I’m not sure its achievable or needed. I believe from reading that the Level 1 Requirements is demarcated for the LMO Team (Cari) and the Level 3 Requirements are demarcated for the IOC Staff (Mark & Kris). I am more than happy to ether answer any questions that this raises either here on the IOC forums, or direct.

    Battle Gear

This is officially referred to by LFL as Imperial Officer Battle Armor on StarWars.com, so I think we should at the least be referring to this as “Battle Armor” if not “Imperial Officer Battle Armor” similarly how we have the Imperial Officers Pistol.

I think there are a few inaccuracies in the proposed CRL text for the armor and I while I realise that text isn’t really finalised until someone submits an Armoured Grand Admiral, I also think it is important to have the wording of a CRL as accurate as possible it being published on 501st.com

The armour and helmet while easily seen as Snowtrooper or AT-AT Commander, is actually closer to the AT-DP Armour (Imperial Combat Driver) which is also Rebels' Era.  The Helmet is actually identical to the AT-DP Helmet minus the faceplate, and the Back-Plate is also the same except the base has been elongated.  The Front-Plate is where the biggest difference is, and granted that its similar to the Snowtrooper or AT-AT Commander, but it is also quite different.

    Helmet
Thrawn is actually seen with two helmets in Season Three.  The time is in Hera’s Heroes in a blink and you miss scene where it is sitting on Thrawn’s desk, the second is of cause in Zero Hour – Part 2 where he is wearing it.  Both Helmets are different, the first is identical to Tarkin’s and the second is a remodelled Grand Admiral’s version.

    Helmet
    For 501st approval:
Open faced style helmet shell consists of a dome (with a rim along the bottom edge), and a helmet skirt along the sides and back. Dome and Skirt: Dome and skirt are painted white. (2) thin parallel lines over the top of the dome, extending from the front brow line to back. Gold “Chimaera” Logo in the center of the dome, at the front. "Rebels" style gold Imperial code discs are positioned with one on each side of the skirt. There is (1) thin line extending down the back center of the skirt . 1cm gunship grey painted edging along the entire edge of helmet. White trimmed military style goggles, with a white strap and black lenses Goggles are fixed to the Helmet via gold clips.

    Chest-Plate Armour
The Chest-Plate while similar looking to that of General Veers, is still quite Different:
White in Colour AT-DP style shoulder staps Round edge at the bottom No “edging” effect Seam lines No raised greebles on right side No recessed centre box Centre Section is pronounced versus gradual Left hand button section is thinner and longer Illuminated Buttons

I think current wording has the Front and Back Plate has got a little scrambled most likely due to being edit multiple times.

    Chest Armor
    For 501st approval:
Chest Armor is painted white and matches Helmet in color. Chest-plate is similar to that of a AT-AT Commander, but should match visual references. Pronounced centre section with no recesses Curved bottom edge Distinctive seam lines Switchbox to the left of the centre section houses three round, translucent disks (lightcovers) Red, White, White Chest and Back Armor join via shoulder straps over the top. Shoulder straps are smooth and are gold in color to match the epaulets. Shoulder straps have a small round gold greeblie at the back. Chest and Back Armor do not meet under the arms No visible straps. For level two certification (if applicable):
    Light covers should be illuminated

The Back-Plate Armour is almost identical to AT-DP armour except lower section has been elongated to mach the length of the front plate.

    Back Armor
    For 501st approval:
Back Armor is painted white and matches the Helmet in color. Back-plate is similar to that of AT-DP, but should match visual references. (1) large rectangle in the middle, with a circle inside the top right corner. (1) smaller / thinner rectangle sits on top of the larger rectangle. (2) small red translucent rectangles (lightcovers) spaced under the larger rectangle. One each side. Is of same length as Front Armor For level two certification (if applicable):
    Light covers should be illuminated

    Tunic

Without opening Shoulder-gate again to much, I really can't support the concept of "emphasised more than any other seam" line in this!  It's non-sencical and will result in some pretty awful uniforms as we have already heard with people suggesting piping, etc... I can partly see where this has come from but I don't agree with the presumption that people have made, and would argue that the seam is no more pronounced than other major seams like the vertical seams!

The following is a LFL sourced picture (I have the original 30.3mb PSD file, should you wish Cari, Mark, or Chris) so sorry about the size of the picture but it's important that I place it here at next to full resolution in order to show that the vertical seam and the should cap seams are pretty similar.  My theory is that this seam is different from what we are use to that it stands out in peoples minds, but don't take my word for it rewatch the TV show and you will see that a lot of the seams on ALL the officers are pronounced but we justify it in our heads!!!  Mark & Kris, could we please delete the first line of Level Three for the Tunic?

    Boots

I have to admit, I didn't pick up on the Shin Armour and literally zoomed into the picture above to see how Kallus Shin Armour enter the CRL.  I think this is a Animation Stylisation issue and I think the idea was for Boots and not for Shin Armour.  There is quite a difference between the quite obvious Shin Armour of Agent Kallus, the Imperial Combat Drivers, and others versus the Boots that are worn buy quite a lot of characters on both sides.  I think the other give away is that the Shin Armour on characters such as Kallus is a clear different surface and sizing versus say Officer Boots.  My other argument is that by having both the requirement of "tighter" and "No visible seams" if made these would be impossible for a human to put on.  Again Mark & Kris, could I ask that the entire Level 3 section for boots be removed.

Right, then.  Myself, another LMO not previously on this project, and also a professional tailor (and my household for that matter, who is about done with the pause/rewind/play/pause/rewind ... ) have watched and re-watched the Rebels episodes with Thrawn in them, as well as looked at the stills and screengrabs and even  Disney posters and promotional material.  Then we wrote down observations, and treated it like the character never existed outside of the show.  Ever.  Much easier said than done.

Then we compared against the currently published CRL and gave it an overhaul where needed (if needed).  We also considered the multitudes of member and staff feedbacks sent in to us personally, to the team directly, and posted here in this thread.    The draft was then reviewed by IOC Command Staff and adjustments made again where needed.  While not perfect, we think the basic levels are sensible and achievable, while still adhering to accuracy to the cartoon.  And whilst LMO's do not mandate L2/3 reqs, it is felt that the ones below are sensible overall and do promote higher accuracy while still keeping the costume realistic (as in wearable) and attractive.  Which is hard to do when you are imitating an unrealistic animation.

And while we were at it, since we were focusing so hard on the cartoon character and Rebels references only .... we added in an optional accessory set that was found in the references.

This has NOT been published, yet.  I'm gathering the last little bit of commentary for the next day or so before sending this off for final peer review, edits, and publishing.  I do not expect any major changes from what is presented here, however.

Once published, I imagine IOC will start taking submissions for new images where new images say they are needed.

    *****

Required Costume Components The following costume components are present and appear as described below.
      Hair and Skin Appearance
For 501st approval: All exposed skin is colored a light to medium blue. Hair is dark blue The arching widow's peak is combed back at the sides and top. In the back, the hair is off of the neck. Makeup is contoured and shaded as to give an angular appearance on the cheeks, forehead, and jaw. Lips are the same color blue as the skin.
For level two certification (if applicable): There is thin line of red shading underneath the eyes, following the bottom eye rim. The eyebrows are the same shade as the hair. For level three certification (if applicable): Short sideburns curve toward the cheek and end where the cheek contouring begins.

      Tunic, White
For 501st approval: Tunic is made from a medium to heavy weight white suiting material. Tunic is double-breasted with a left over right closure on the tapered yoke. Yoke comes up across the shoulder to the top shoulder seam. The standing collar has square corners, that closes snug, flush, and includes a white modesty panel behind the closure. Sleeves are long, and at the bicep there is a seam on each sleeve forming a (U shaped) bell curve. Two code cylinder pockets located on the outside breast panels of the tunic intersect the bell curve on the biceps. The back of the tunic has two seams that run vertically and parallel to the shoulder seam, meeting the front yoke seam Tunic is constructed with no top-stitching (stitches visible on the exterior surface of fabric).
For level two certification (if applicable): There is no fitting dart in the center of the yoke. Tunic is secured on the right side by snaps or buttons, not using hook and loop fasteners (Velcro). Tunic is lined. For level three certification (if applicable): The bicep bell curve seam is demarcated and emphasized more than any other seams in the tunic. (Perhaps by thickening seam allowance, perhaps by utilizing a slot seam.) The bicep bell curve seam ends exactly where the code cylinder pocket opening begins.

      Collar Rank Insignia
For 501st approval: There is a rank Insignia on each collar. One bar followed by one outward facing triangle. Rank is Grey or Silver, and edged with a black outline. Insignia is one of the following: an iron on applique material, embroidered, a cloth patch, or a pin. If a pin is used, it should be fastened flush to the collar.
For level two certification (if applicable): Rank Insignia must have very thin and flat appearance.

      Epaulets
For 501st approval: Dark yellow, yellow-gold or gold colored strips, firmly attached on the edge of each shoulder. The strips are matte or metallic in finish and made with a semi-rigid to rigid material. Positioned across the collar bone where the shoulder begins, between the shoulder seam and yoke seam. The strips do not overlap the seams they sit between. The strips are 1.75 to 3.25 inches wide, with length proportional to the wearer in positioning.
For level two certification (if applicable): The lower limit of the strip, in positioning, should run parallel to the lowest point of the center of the collar. For level three certification (if applicable): Fits perfectly flush to the tunic. Have a metallic sheen.

      Rank Bar
For 501st approval: Worn on the left side of the tunic over the heart. Rank consists of two rows of colored plastic tiles mounted on a bar. Bottom Row – Three blue, followed by three red tiles. Top Row – Three blue, followed by three yellow tiles. Bar is one strip with four rounded corners. Bar is approximately 5 inches long and 2 inches in height. Bar is grey or silver in color and has a metallic sheen. Rank tile dimensions are appropriate and proportional to the sizing of the bar to allow for equidistant and even spacing from each other and the border of the bar.
For level two certification (if applicable): Tiles are opaque.

    Code Cylinders, Rebels
For 501st approval: (4) Code Cylinders, 2 in each pocket. Modified Silver "chalk holder" tube with a short clip and blue top. Dosimeter Style: True Dosimeter with correct clip and Blue top is also acceptable. Clip is silver in color. For level two certification (if applicable): Must be Rebels style code cylinder with correct "silver" clip and blue caps.

    Belt
For 501st approval: The belt is constructed from a non-textured leather or a leather-like material. Approximately 2" (50.8 mm) and 3" (76.2 mm) wide. There are no loops on the belt. A single large snap or rivet is visible to the left of the buckle, snap may be raised to a semi conical shape. The buckle is constructed from a horizontally brushed metal, or metal looking material. Buckle is adorned with a Rebel’s Era Imperial Code Disk off centered at the top.
For level two certification (if applicable): Belt does not have grooves. Belt is made of leather.

    Holster
For 501st approval: Black in color and constructed from leather or leather like material. When possible the holster is made from same material as the belt. Holster has one belt loop, made of the same material as the holster. Length of holster should be such that the bottom tip should extend approximately one to three inches beyond the bottom hem of the tunic.
For level two certification (if applicable): The Holster is attached to the belt by a 1/2” metal stud.
      Trousers, White
For 501st approval: Fabric is made from medium to heavy weight white suiting material identical to the tunic. Straight legged in style. Trousers are not jodhpurs, tights, or riding breeches. Trousers are worn neatly tucked into boots with no blousing. Visible pockets are not allowed.

    Boots
For 501st approval: Knee-high, black, lace-less, smooth non-textured, leather or leather-like material. PVC or synthetic material is allowed as long as it gives the appearance of leather. There are no stretch panels, buckles, snap tabs, or decoration. Boots have conservative heels. If zippers are present, they are hidden on the inner part of the boot shaft, and are not visible from the front, side or back. The top of the boots are flat style, not Spanish, Cowboy, or Superhero.
For level two certification (if applicable): Boots do not have a zipper. For level three certification (if applicable): Consists of tubular black shin armor sitting over black ankle boots. This is similar to that seen on SW Rebels' Agent Kallus, but tighter, without the grey strip, and black soles instead of grey. No visible means of attachment. No visible seam. Finish and shade of shin armor and boots must be identical.

Optional Accessories Items below are optional costume accessories. These items are not required for approval, but if present appear as described below.
      Eye Color
For 501st approval: Red theatrical contact lenses. While encouraged to complete the look of this character, the contact lens requirement will be waived for 501st acceptance, if the applicant cannot wear contact lenses for health related reasons. All persons wishing to utilize contact lenses are encouraged to first see their optometrist for a fitting.
For level two certification (if applicable): The entire eye is red.

      Battle Gear
For 501st approval: Open face helmet consisting of a dome and helmet skirt. Helmet is based on the shell of the Snowtrooper/Snow Cmdr. and the AT-ST Driver. The helmet is white. Gold Imperial Code Disks are positioned on both sides of the helmet skirt. White trimmed military style goggles, with a white strap and black lenses are fixed around the helmet. Chest armor is worn over the uniform. Armor is white and matches visual references. Chestplate is shaped similar to Snowtrooper chestplate without the recessed center box. Backplate has a raised square centered on the back, upon which are two round, red translucent disks (lightcovers), one on each bottom corner of the square. Backplate and chestplate curve in under the arms to meet on the sides. Chest armor shoulder straps attach the chestplate to the backplate, and are gold, matching the uniform epaulets. There are white screw / snap covers on the back of the shoulder straps, but not the front. Rankbar is worn on the chestplate on the left side. Black, leather or leather-like, enclosed fingered, non-textured, fitted gloves with no buckles or straps.

    Pistol
For 501st approval: Accurate Rebels' Era Imperial Officer's Pistol.

    Hi Jay,

Welcome to your 501st journey!  Please don't be discouraged - I will tell you that gaining my 501st membership was an extremely proud moment and a unique milestone in my life.  Due to being in both the 501st & the Rebel Legion I now have friends (real friends) around the world, I have travelled international to both Celebration VI in Orlando (2012) and Celebration Europe (2016) in London and have had some truly remarkable experiences and opportunities. (including being LPRO/Legion Council/LXO of the Rebel Legion at different periods).  So please, please don't give in!

When I was a cadet - I was given some wise advice by another the GCO of my Garrison and that was to Research, Research, Research!  This is advise that I in turn have passed on to many people.  This is what I have done with the Rebel's Era Grand Admiral - and yes I'm pushing really hard for an Imperial Grand Admiral (Rebels Era) CRL & a Grand Admiral Drawn (Rebels Era) CRL!  and I think Sloane is the biggest part of that argument for having it as a rank as she proves that it was an attainable rank within the Star Wars universe versus a one of rank for Thrawn.

I just want to clarify one of your points nothing has been removed that was standard.  As currently there is no CRL for Rebels Era Grand Admirals, as the costume is what is considered New to the Legion - that's what this thread is for to discuss a proposed CRL for the costume.  So like you when I started there was nothing there, one of the reasons that I have taken my time sewing this is purely so that i didn't trip myself up with something that wasn't approvable.

For instance I have commissioned a 501st Member to create an Imperial Pistol for me, there is no guarantee that it will be approvable but it is a gamble I have made.  Another is I have commissioned the One Stop Officer Shop to create Rebels style Code Cylinders but again I am not guaranteed that they will be approvable.

I am yet to purchase my Rank Bar, and this current discussion is one of the reasons why!  Tiggie is currently making a prototype of it and once I've seen a picture of it I'll be passing it on to the DCO & DXO for their opinion before purchasing.  Keep in mind that I already own a Push Button Rank Bar for a Grand Admiral, but I feel strongly enough that it should be a Rebels style for a Rebels uniform that I will be purchasing another.

As for Grand Admiral Sloane - when or if we get more information on her in the future we may find that we need yet another CRL to take in account any variations of her costume, keeping in mind that to my knowledge she doesn't become a Grand Admiral till post Return of the Jedi so standard Uniforms will have changed to the Original Trilogy style.

Being part of the 501st is not the be all and end all in costuming, for some of us we like the challenge that the 501st Standards present where for others its just the fun of dressing up as their favourite character.  That said, my advise would be for you would be to get yourself, some frilly epaulets and get approved as an Imperial Grand Admiral as that will get your membership and open up a huge part of the Organisation that you can't see!

As a FWI - while the ISB Officer look white in colour they are actually cream (or ecru), so that unfortunately not an option.

So about 8-9 hours after I wrote this, wouldn't you know it but a much clearer photo came available

It appears to be modified (read animated) Veers style Armour, unlike Tarkin who uses modified AT-DP armour (Which I had based CRL text off).

I can see where you're going with this in theory, but I'm going to make the argument for Rebels insignias at a lower level.

Why? Because otherwise how is this different from just a standard officer?

If we're going to have Rebels CRLs I think the belt and hat insignia need to be Rebels styled. Otherwise, why is it Rebels and not just lazy normal officers who haven't bothered to get correct details?

You can still have different soft parts move towards more accuracy for different levels (so a standard design hat with a Rebels insignia would pass L1), but a Rebels insignia is what is going to be the real difference between a Rebels officer and any other non-Rebels officer to anyone who doesn't know the tiny details.

In this thread I will be crafting a CRL for Admiral Kassius Konstantine from Star Wars: Rebels.
I will be drawing heavily from the approved CRL for Governor Arinda Pryce, and wish to thank @eliste, @Walker, @Talulabelle and @nocternus for being instrumental in getting that project up and running.

    From the Wookieepedia entry (Found HERE.);
Kassius Konstantine was a human male Admiral in the Imperial Navy.

      Tunic
For 501st approval: Fabric is an olive brown, medium weight suiting material exactly matching the pants. Tunic is double-breasted with a left over right closure on the tapered yoke. Yoke comes up across the shoulder to the top shoulder seam. The standing collar has square corners and is approximately 1.25" (31.8 mm) tall. Collar closes snugly without visible fasteners and includes a modesty panel behind closure. Collar is adorned with two solid black triangular rank insignia. Collar edges are closed with two eye hooks. There are code cylinder pockets on both outside panels of the jacket from about half way between the top and bottom on the arm hole. Sleeves are long, and without decoration, cuffs or buttons. Princess seams in the back of the tunic can be acceptable, although not required. Tunic is constructed with no top-stitching (stitches visible on the exterior surface of fabric)
For level two certification (if applicable): A central seam runs down the back of the tunic, with no princess seams. No centre dart on yoke. Sleeves contain one seam on the inner arm.

There is already a more "real life" CRL for Thrawn. People are still able to follow that instead. However if they want to do the Thrawn from Rebels, I believe it should look like the Thrawn from Rebels and not have extra pieces thrown in cause it's what we assume they would have done with a bigger budget to make it more true to life.

If you want fancy epaulets and greeblies, I'd look into the existing CRL. This one isn't designed to replace it, but be a different look altogether.

Whoever submits the first application then gets the honour of working with the Detachment to write the CRL. That then goes to the LMO and can get changed. It could be what you see here, but if someone submits a different CRL it could be based on that and have no relation to this. Also, anything here in the forum is likely to be at least tweaked by the LMO team.

So you will pretty much never be sure that what's on the forum discussed here will be the final CRL that goes live.

You have to have someone who finishes the costume to a standard that it is passable before any of the above happens, even if there is a version that most people on the forum are happy with. So until someone finishes the costume and it goes through the process (which took several weeks, even after an agreed upon CRL here on the forum), the CRL won't be known for sure. I say this having just done this with Pryce, as even I didn't know what the CRL would say despite effectively writing or tweaking almost everything in it until it was live.

Honestly though, I don't think you should wait for a CRL. No matter what the CRL says the ultimate resource is the source material. So as long as you make a costume that looks like the character, you should be ok.

You're at the mercy of other people's timeframes if you wait. If you want to push the CRL forward in a meaningful way, you need to make the costume.

I think it's an interpretation of the Rebel's uniform, especially considering that the disc and stud on his belt are centred (whereas Thrawn and Armoured Tarkin's are off-centred to the top)

    Agree - too much agreement

The other difference is that what we have been referring to as the Rank Insignias are metal pins on the Book, where as they are printed/transferred in the TV Show.

I think it was Kris who pointed out to me that what we are doing here is writing a CRL for the TV show and not a CRL of an Interpretation of it.

I noticed the metal pins too.

Thatmakes sense to me. The Rebels TV show is the best visual guide for the canon Thrawn.

    Great first version!

I'll let someone else comment on the OT versions - I have my head stuck in the Rebels' Era at the moment

The cap that I'll use for the Rebels style code cylinders will be solid like in the screen grabs. I'm working off the same pictures.
And the more I look at it, I agree that the clip isn't quite right.  A good first version, but the proportions are off.
How about the tops in relation to OT style?

I just want to remind everyone, we are working on a large amount of new information and updates.  We are just starting on a new administration in the Legion and here.  Everyone has their pet project that they are waiting on, but there are a lot of requests and discussions for different CRLs.  We are going to address them and get all of them taken care of in a timely manner.

Keep in mind, most everyone working on the IOC side and Legion side of the CRLs, are gearing up for Celebration next week, so, with the exception of the new Governor Pryce CRL (which is very close to being posted BTW,)  don't expect many additional changes for a couple of weeks.  We are going to meet with Cari in Orlando for a concentrated course of CRL 101.

I would also like to mention, we all have Real World jobs and lives.  We donate a lot of time doing this for the Legion because we are passionate about it.  Everyone has been great working with the staff and suggesting improvements, Keep it up IOC!
