Tommorw I'll go through the forums in search for Rebels content and flag it with the command staff to move here!
 

Keep in mind that the rank bars in Rebels' are quite stylistically different from those in the Original Trilogy.
 
Using the FISD as an example - While to the general public "a Stormtrooper is a Stormtrooper is a Stormtrooper"... they see no difference between them, yet we have unique CRLs for ANH Stunt, ANH Hero, ESB, ROTJ - yet they have recently created a whole Star Wars Rebels section on the forums to focus on the differences between the new Rebels TKs and those from Original Trilogy films - with a CRL in the making. (Mark & Kris can I have a Rebels area for us to talk Rebels in - pretty please )
 
So granted while it's good to have easy entrance position we also need to keep in mind the unique parts of the costume - or else we just get a whole heap of Original Trilogy Officers running around calling themselves Rebels Era and then we look silly in front of the Legion.
 
On your first point - That's one of the things I am doing with this project is to not just make a costume, get approved and look awesome  but to also find sources for the unique parts.

Worn on the left side of the tunic over the heart.
Rank consists of colored plastic tiles mounted on metal bar.
Each bar is 1" (25.4 mm) height.
Top bar has a 1/4" (6.4 mm) radius on the top right and left corner.
Bottom bar has a 1/4" (6.4 mm) radius on the bottom right and left corner.
Push buttons are not correct for Rebels style rank tiles.
Rank bar exactly matches the color pattern used in the references.
Six blue tiles on the top bar.
Three red tiles followed by three yellow tiles on the bottom bar.
For level two certification (if applicable):
Rank bar is one metal strip with four rounded corners NOT two separate bars as with OT rank bars.

Ah - had seen WTF on various boards, it give new meaning to the term!

Depends how long Rebels goes - I'll bet some of the changes were to make animation easier, we may see that same plate used on other characters.

If nothing else it could be something someone like Walt does when he has a spare moment.  It wouldn't sell a lot, but I could see selling some.  Just would depend on how much interest there was I guess.

Walt from WTF (Walt's Trooper Factory).  Kevin's a good guy too.  Either one would be good armor.

I know Kev Weir makes the AT-DP/Tarkin armour - so i might get a set of this anyway for when I don't need to be totally approvable but should Grand Admiral Armour ever come available you can put me down on the list straight away.
 

As as it would happen - we get a new photo 8 hours later!
 
And it appears that Thrawn's armour is completely different to other Rebels Armour and closer to Veers Armour  
 

 

I'll create a sample after I move this weekend, and let you all see how they come out.

Krennic's is bad to compare to as he is a face so his can break the mold. His also clearly covers more than half his throat.

Also, patterns of 2" will result in slightly less than 1.5" collars once seam allowance is taken out.

I whole heartily agree, I don't want to see other Grand Admiral's in Rebels than Thrawn.  He has been setup brilliant as the "Big Bad" and I think introducing another would diminish his importance.
 
That said I think there is enough evidence in the Star Wars Canon (excluding the EU/Legends at the moment) with Rae Sloane to support the notion that there is a Grand Admiral rank within the Imperial Ranks and not a one off rank granted to Thrawn similar to Vader's position within the Imperial Hierarchy.
 
I am still proposing that we create a Rebels' Era Grand Admiral CRL and when that is finished we can add the Skin, Hair, & Eye Colour to it for a Grand Admiral Thrawn CRL

Agreed. And there is some visual material for Rae Sloane in GA garb, similar to Thrawn too. There is a Barnes and Nobel poster released for Aftermath Empires end.
 

There is a draft in the Staff area, it is about done.  We can post it for more discussion though.

It can go whichever way is good for organization. I put Anthologies and Prequels together because technically nothing is OT except, well, OT. Other reason was the limited number of officer costumes in the prequels. You can also list by era (exception being Expanded Universe);
 
Republic Era and Eve of the Empire (Ep 1-3, The Clone Wars animated series)
The Rule of the Empire (SW Rebels, R1, Ep 4-6)
The First Order (Ep. 7-9+)
Expanded Universe (Novels, games, comics)
 
This way keeps it to four sections. Any other anthology movies that come out will fall into the appropriate era (likely The Rule of the Empire). 

Maybe organize them as such;
 
Prequels and Anthologies (Ep. 1-3, R1 and upcoming SW stories)
Original Trilogy (Ep. 4-6)
Sequel Trilogy(?) (Ep. 7-9?)*
Animated Shows (TCW, Rebels)
Expanded Universe (Games, novels, comics, etc.)
 
*I know the plan is for only Ep. 7-9, but then again up until about 2013 we weren't ever supposed to get a 7-9 . 

Good point on adding a Rebels section as well.
