  1. Ah, another thing to do is to let people in rebel or Jedi shirts to know about "the emperor's seditious clothing act of 1977." ( Or of '77.)And by wearing seditious clothing , that they are in fact breaking imperial law. Which is punishable by five years of hard labor in the emperor's work camps. And you can make up some kind of job they would do. Like washing tuskens, shaving wookies, or the ubiquitous cleaning of the ewok cages at the local imperial zoo.

  2. Well, I have a lot that I say and do. I have worked on things with my prior service experience.  There are a lot of thing to do to keep up appearances.

1). Greet people as citizens.  If you throw in something like "good morning citizen. How are you on this fine imperial morning." Or " welcome citizen, so not worry. My troopers and I are here to cleans this area of rebel activity. It will be safe again shortly. ". Try it out. It's fun.

    2)  what I call the trooper blinkins.  After a "citizen" takes a photo. Stop them and ask to see the photo. At which point a trooper or helmeted character in the group gets a down dressing. (Let them know ahead of time you might do it). Mine goes... "Citizen may I see the photo. I need to check that my troopers preformed their duties well.". They show you the picture. Then, " trooper blinkins!  You did it again. You blinked when I ordered you not to blink! ".  And have some fun with it.

3)if someone is just walking by, interact with a greeting of citizen. Then warn them of viscous ewok activity in the area. Or if near a parking lot. Warn of jawas stealing motivators from parked speeders in the vicinity.

    4) more photo fun.  When a "citizen" goes to take your photo. State "make sure to get my good side. Not my dark side". Most everyone will laugh. It's a good ice breaker for adults.

    5) you could talk about how tough it is to be a imperial trooper. How on jeda you could get beaten up by a blind Jedi temple guard. And had issues with little aliens charging you yelling, Admiral akbar! And blowing themselves up.

Honestly I have a thousand lines. But just work with the crowd. It's a fun interaction that you want. And the "citizen" will remember.

#1 and #2 are too wide and wouldn't be good for a Trading Card.

#3 will have the DLT obscured by your Garrison logo.

So by the power of deduction you're left with #4.

And I didn't think about the logos. I'll have to look into what the ioc card looks like. :)

  4. Hi guys,

So today I got a few photos courtesy of Nick fox. (Thanks again for the lending of the dtl-19.). I have four pictures to choose from for my action pose. I know the dtl-19 is not cannon. But it's what I use in battlefront with the officer skin. Anyway, i plan on making an IOC trading card with it. So if you could please help me choose the best one in your opinion, I would appreciate it.

I was lucky enough to meet Gunny at a military timeline event in Southern California back in 2007. He wandered into our 15th Century Burgundian living history encampment and was challenged by my 9 year old grandson who was "standing guard". I walked up and showed him around the camp, and before he left he presented my grandson with a History Channel challenge coin for conducting his guard duty in a professional manner. He was a class act.

That's a great memory of gunny.  Thanks for sharing this with us Ron.

Guys, I know he was not a star wars actor. But honestly, he was a real legend.  I just wanted to put this out there as I myself consider him a reason I joined the U.S. army. I know, army not marine corps. But I am so may generations in on all branches. To hear someone so influential to do many has passed is sad.  I leave you with this.

“Rest easy, sleep well my Brothers. Know the line has held, your job is done. Rest easy, sleep well. Others have taken up where you fell, the line has held. Peace, peace, and farewell….

    Thank you gunny, rest peaceful.

  7. Well, I got burned.  Noone but me from the legion showed, the grounds keeper at the camp quit. So I had no way into the building and with a storm bearing down. I had to cancel the whole thing.  I'll try another time to get this going. But I don't want to disappoint my pack twice. I'll get some good photos together and post them as I train the cubbies.

  8. Hey guys, just an update. Since it's going to storm here in the morning. We are changing plans to an indoor Nerf shooting acadamy.  It's going to use tubes with battle droids on them as my targets for the scouts. I'll nab some pics and post them sometime this weekend.
