  1. The only level 1 difference between the two CRLs is the code cylinders.  Non saga have silver clips.  The OT have Brass clips.

The other differences are at higher levels.

Non saga greebles on the hats have no notch.  OT greebles on the hats have a notch (it was originally a pulley on a British record player)

The non saga belt boxes are smaller.  The OT belt boxes are bigger.  (both are optional).

Minor differences with gloves and options for boots.

About the CRL; when this topic was started, we'd only seen Dr Pershing and the one cloning scientist from the first season of the Bad Batch.

A year and a half later and we got to see more animated medical technicians. These costumes are totally different from what we had seen back when the topic was started.

I believe that Doctor Pershing should have a seperate CRL. Not only is he a hero character, but the other costumes are completely different. A generic Medical Technician is no longer an option.

If we compare Pershing to the first animated medical technician there are a couple of differences; animated has two large patches instead of one smaller patch, animated collar and belt have extra details, animated wears gloves.

The concept art costume shown on starwars.com is from a background scientist. This is a completely different pattern. Nowhere close to that of Doctor Pershing.

Animated costumes are a whole different group of costumes and should not be in the same CRL as Dr Pershing.

I agree that this is a separate CRL for Doctor Pershing against the Imperial Medical Technicians for a few reasons.

The distance between the two appearances in universe is 27 years.

Doctor Pershing's uniform has different colored  trim, straight pants with chelsea boots (versus clone war era boots), different belts and buckles.

@Dader ID7021 if you want to start a Doctor Pershing thread in the New CRL area, please do and post reference photos.  As soon as we have enough I will submit it to the LMO office in order to proceed.  DO take a look at the Galen Erson CRL and you will find much of the language that will be used for the Pershing CRL.

  3. We haven't looked at this before, but we will take a look and see what we can do.

As with everything, we need reference photos and then someone needs to want to do it.  If the references exist and the person does it like the references, we will find a way to put it in a CRL.

We use the forums here to to display ALL impending changes.  If it is not listed in the forums we do not do it.  The forums is not just our record of what we are doing, but the record of why we are doing what we are doing.  Granted, we keep track of things using spreadsheets and other project management tools, but that is just for the staff organizational purposes.  The text of the changes will be found here.

  4. There could be a very good argument made for this costume.  There is only one group that wears this uniform in the New Republic.  And that is captured imperial officers.  Crix Madine got a rebel uniform.  Iden Versio got a rebel uniform.

The only people wearing these are former imperials.   Not all of the former imperials have joined the New Republic.  Captain Bombardier wears a modified version of this uniform, but he is with a non aligned world in the Outer Rim.  A world that chose to not join the republic, but had to conform to its dictates.

The broad assumption is that this uniform will go to the Rebel Legion.  That is a broad assumption as everyone in universe looks at people in these uniforms, thinks and sometimes says "That is an imperial".

In any event, we have submitted to the LMO office for review.

  5. Sunber went to Spec ops because it was initially rejected here by staff that didn't think it should have been here.  Had it been brought to the LMOs by this detachment, it could have been retained here.  @Hoda could give you more information as he was the builder and model for it.  Had the imperial army troopers from the Dark Horse empire series of comics been hosted here (rejected by the IOC staff at the time), we may have a completely different story with the Army trooper and Security troopers from the Andor series.  But that is water over the bridge.  Once the LMOs made their decision, that was it.

If a member brings a costume here, I will take it to the LMOs.  Not kill it in the crib because of a personal notion of what should be in this detachment.  The days of the staff rejecting a costume because of personal preferences are over.  It was personal preference that prevented some armored officers from getting made from the Rebels series.  We intend to move forward with some of them.

If the green light is given to this detachment, we will assist them.  And our track record of delivery with new costumes is closely following creators at the speed that they make things.

You might want to check with Spec Ops before developing this one!

Just a heads up! I know you'll knock this one out of the park as well!

I will say this again and it is the policy of this detachment.  A member wants to do a costume, they collect reference photos, we submit them to the LMO.  The LMO are the traffic controller for the legion determining where things go.  THEY have that authority, not me and not you.

If a DL here does not take a members request forward to the LMO, they are exceeding their authority.

@whitmers has worked with us twice before making Gideon costumes.  It is natural he would come to us.

Has this been green lit from the LMO team?  Surely the amnesty program was for former Imperials who were rehabilitated and now working for the New Republic?

We have submitted to the LMO for review.  Elia Kane is most definitely NOT a good guy.

And it should be noted that Jack Black who did not work for the new republic, was in a self modified version of this uniform.  I have no trouble collecting references and asking the LMOs.
