buckrogersbarker reacted to PitbullJohn in Imperial Corrections officer-Andor
Hi everyone, I'm IC-42537 or Pitbull Jon on the forums. While I was watching the trailer for Andor the upcoming star wars spin-off series, I noticed that there is a potential character within the imperial ranks that could fall to our side. This is right now not a confirmed name, but the picture is an "imperial corrections officer". Notice in the picture that he or she is wearing a flight suit or one-piece jumpsuit with a white stripe on the side and has a riot baton or melee weapon. What is your take on this possible CRL?

There have already been a number of officers shown in the trailer, plus the main antagonist(s) appear to ISB.  I think this show has the potential to be a gold mine for our detachment.

    Hello to you officers,

I am calling on you to help me finalize my costume project: Imperial Military Officer (Non-Saga) Version 1.

I've been looking for the mandatory elements to obtain to validate the costume and here is the list of elements (I will update the list as I find the pieces of the costume):
    Hat ToDo
    Tunic ToDo
    Rank Bar Done (Order received)
    Code Cylinders Done (Order received)
    Belt ToDo
    Pants ToDo
    Boots ToDo

For the optional accessories I will see later, I know the list of accessories is long. This is my very first costume project. Currently I'm looking mainly for the top and pants, if you know where to look I'll be interested. I live in France, the ideal would be a manufacturer in Europe but if it's possible to import the products from the USA it's good too.

Thanks to those who read this post

    PS: Long live the empire!

This will be the text submitted to the LMO team.  It is the same as the previous submission last year with the exception that a single line has been removed from the Tunic section.

The tunic has a center seam in the back, reaching the yoke.

This line has been removed after learning the details of how the back was constructed by direct contact with LFL by the LCO.  The costume has been altered to reflect this single detail change in the above photos.  The rest stands as before.

    Sith Eternal Officer CRL

Description: Sith Eternal / Final Order Officer
    Prefix: ID
    Detachment: Imperial Officer Corps
Context: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Officers in the High Command of the Final Order, raised on the planet Exegol by the Sith Eternal—Sith cultists who revered the dark side of the Force and were devoted to the Sith religion.

    Hat, Sith Officer, Black
The front brim is a shiny black patent leather-like material. It is curved and does not obscure the wearer's eyes. The brim should attach to the hat body to present smooth curves at the sides, aligning with the back flap. The visible sides of the crown have an appearance of ribbed black leather, rubber, or similar material. Base of the hat is conical, with a crown approximately 4" (100mm) tall. Hat is roughly cone shaped with a flat crown Front and rear ‘flaps’, and top of the crown, are of a black medium weight suiting material matching the pants and tunic. Front and rear "flaps" overlap on the sides, with the back flap's ends overlapping the front's where they attach to the body of the hat. Front flap is approximately .5" to 1" (12-25mm) higher than the top of the crown, and crisp and smooth in appearance. The flap is vertical with a tilt outwards around the sides of the hat. Rear flap is vertical with a tilt outwards around the sides and back. Sith Code Disk is metal or metal appearance and is positioned at the center of the front vertical flap.
    Tunic
Fabric is a black, medium weight suiting, exactly matching the pants. The closure is at the center front using a zipper with concealed teeth, surrounded by visible red material approx 3-5mm wide. There is red ribbon or similar approximately 1/8" to 1/4" (3-5mm) wide, crossing the chest from each side and angling slightly down to meet in the center of the tunic, combining with the center closure to form a flattened Y shape , when worn. The sleeves are long and end at the wrist. The tunic is fitted to the body, with a shoulder yoke across the back. There is no vent in the back of the tunic. A vertical dart on each side of the front may extend up from the waist under the belt, stopping approximately mid chest, if needed to accommodate body curvature. Rank band insignia is attached on the left arm approximately 1/3 of the distance from the elbow to the wrist. A V-shaped separate chest yoke is attached to the top and front of the tunic, extending up from directly above the red lines.  It is the same fabric as the tunic, with smooth, semi-rigid construction. The Chest Yoke follows the neck curvature and extends to cover the top of the shoulders with faux epaulettes atop the shoulder, and ending at the back of the epaulettes atop the shoulder. The Chest Yoke attaches in a seamless, flush, invisible manner.
Level 2: The Tunic's yoke across the back shall intersect the arm-hole seams approximately 1/3 of the way down the arms, from the top. There is a seam running the entire circumference of the tunic, dividing it along a line hidden by the uniform belt.
Level 3: There is a lining sewn in.
    Neck Seal
The Neck Seal shall have an appearance of ribbed black leather, rubber, or similar material. The Neck Seal is fitted to the wearer under the jacket, with horizontal ribs. The ribbed material extends from the base of the neck to just under the chin, to conceal the entire neck.
    Chest Rank Bar
A plain metal rectangle with radiused half-circles on the long ends, approximately 2 ½” (63.5mm) long by ⅜" (10mm) width and 1/8" (3mm) thick. Bar is attached flush to the tunic by concealed means.
    Jodhpur Pants
Fabric is a black, medium weight suiting, exactly matching the tunic. Flared riding breeches have semi-stiff flares in the hip/thigh area, below the tunic and above the knee. Pockets and waist belts are acceptable, if not visible with the tunic on. Flares are sharply triangular in shape and fit snugly at the knee.
    Officer Boots, Sith Officer
Knee-high, black, lace-less, smooth non-textured, leather or leather-like material, with moderate to high-gloss shine. There are no stretch panels, snap tabs, or decoration, other than the adjustment buckle at the top, if present. Boot seams closely match screen-used boots. Soles are flat. If zippers are present, they are on the inner part of the boot shaft only.
Level 2: Boots have an adjustment buckle at the top
    Belt, Sith Officer
The belt is constructed from a rubber or rubber like material with horizontal ribbing. Belt is approximately 2.5" to 3" (63.5-76.2mm) in width, and should match the height of the belt buckle. There are no loops on the belt. Belt fits snugly over the natural waist of the wearer, covering the horizontal tunic seam, if present. The buckle is constructed from metal, or metal looking material. The buckle size is approximately 2 5/8" (66.7 mm) high and 4 1/8" (104.5 mm) wide with rounded corners. Sith Code Disk is metal or metal appearance and is positioned at the center of the buckle.
Level 2: Buckle has a satin finish, not brushed Corners are more rounded than Imperial Officer buckles from the original trilogy
    Gloves, Sith Officer, Black
Gloves are constructed of a non-textured, black leather or leather-like material. Gloves are have enclosed fingers, are fitted, and worn underneath the sleeves. Gloves are long enough to cover the wrist entirely. No visible buckles, straps, or ornamentation. Gloves may be plain or have three lines of stitching on the back of the hand.
Level 2: Gloves have three lines of stitching on the back of the hand.
    Rank Insignia Band, Sith Officer
Worn on the left side of arm, above the wrist and below the elbow, approx 1/3 of the distance from the elbow to the wrist. Rank consists of one black band sewn down to the sleeve with raised red Aurebesh writing on it. The edges utilize piping or an embroidered line on each side. For the Captain rank, the Aurebesh spells “STELS". Additional rank options and corresponding Aurebesh shall be added as discovered from licensed sources. Both piping (if used) and embroidery (Aurabesh and lines) are red in color, close in color to the red used on the tunic stripes.

Hi Robert, Yes, I agree with you. Reviewing my flightsuit, it doesnt have that option because behind this area there is a zipper. So, considering this and looking at all the flightsuits, as you say, this would be the "basic" (navy, crew) and on top of it they added that part for the tie pilots. I also would like to add that in the posterior part  of the shoulders there is another area (also seen in Obi Wan) that should be added. That area is considered level 3 in the JRS (included a picture here).
Having a flightsuit with 2 options would be  great to use with all the costumes but that will need some velcro  that will modify the anterior view of the navy. I have been waiting the other flighsuit some months..., but this discussion will  help to understand it. So, we will have the correct one for these ones. Have a great day!!.

    Hello!

Now that Celebration is over, and we got some great pics of some of the costumes. It has come to my attention that the Moff Gideon CRL needs to be adjusted in one small section.

"Five to Six evenly spaced pleats are present, approximately 1 inch (38mm) in size, clustered at the back of the neck, where the cape fabric meets the trim."

The cap has a total of seven pleats. One center box pleat , and then 3 knife pleats on the sides.

Nice to see Navy Troopers making a comeback!  Several guarding the bridge of Vader's Star Destroyer.  Looks to me like they might have  followed the ESB model-black officer's uniform (jodphurs, but hard to tell if it's an ANH style tunic or not) ,no belt boxes (at least on the prominent one) and appears to have a DH-17 in the holster. Interesting mix of versions.
Edit: actually I see belt boxes now, but they seem unusually subdued.  I suppose it COULD be the lighting but it's odd that the buckle is clear and the boxes aren't.

A few small changes prior to the submission to the LMO.  These suggestions that have come from the LMO office are recent and I have listed them here in the proposed CRL as Level 2 requirements.  I will submit them as listed and then give a history of the development of this costume.

The history is already here and in this thread... but to newcomers, they do not know this went through two Detachment administrations and at least three LMO administrations.  For the submitter of this costume they see only one legion... not transitions that occur almost yearly.  That perspective and its changing nature with emphasis needs to be shared.

The following is what will be submitted for the text.

    @buckrogersbarker
Below are links to costume pics and me in the costume. I can get better tunic pics, but gotta wait till the weekend to do that because I moved a few months ago and the costume is in storage, so I’ll get it out of my storage unit and take pics this weekend. I assume closed front tunic pic is needed, anything else? I figure boots, blaster, blaster holder you’d use pics of those from other CRLs—it seems the same pics of those items are used in most of the IOC CRLs. The Thrawn Rebels CRL has the blaster and blaster holder I saw other officers in Rebels use, but like I mentioned above I never saw faceless officers use a blaster. The belt and gloves are the same as shown in the Pryce CRL, so those can be used or I can take more pics of mine. Thank you!

Here I have new photos as the LMO require, clean shaven.
    https://photos.app.goo.gl/sU4GFDH5WA27BfDx6

and because I think it's bullshit to shave a clone, an extension to the CRL text:
    Hair and face
Even if the clones are delivered by Kamino in impeccable, clean-shaven condition, all clone units try to look as individual as possible. So theoretically any kind of hairstyle, hair color, beard, tattoo (preferably with reference to the GAR or Republic), piercings is conceivable.
However, it should be ensured that hair and jewelry are still wearable under a helmet. No long hair, no long beard.
As a soldier in active service, all kinds of scars and prostheses in the facial area are also conceivable.

I agree, CalaZhan has a couple of Chiss costumes and would be a good resource for that.

And I concur with Bob that I could see the home for those costumes being either Flagship Eclipse, or a "new" class of officer being brought to the IOC.  I am biased towards the IOC, of course, but there are certainly valid arguments for both.

When you say "in LA" do you mean Los Angeles, Louisiana, or somewhere else?

If you mean Los Angeles, you're in my area, and the Southern California Garrison is going to be your local group to connect with for events and such. Come say hi there, too!

I would like for the ONLY difference for the components of this costume is that the tunic is cream colored... other than that, I would want it to be the same as the security services word for word.
