For me these are the two main guidelines: Situation and faced costume/first interaction.
Then you will always have to main components: Body language and talking with people.
Body language: for me it should always express confidence and leadership. Except maybe if the emperor or Lord Vader are near you. Here depending on the situation you can play that role of nervous officer with their "bosses" ( For example, I always love to touch my neck and express a kind of relief, once Vader passes by me in any troop). But by general rule, you will be the first one to go in front of the troopers, you will be the one directing people, etc. Doing this with your back straight, head up is a nice touch. Also, in my garrison officers are also critical since as face characters we are taking care of the troopers that can't see too well with their helmets. So specially in closed environments our role of "direct" our colleges is not only to get us in character, but also it has practical reasons. Talking with people: As a Spanish guy living in France, my accent and "broken" French is a theme of conversation (a usual, "lord Vader has re-assign me in here" "some people get assigned to Coruscant, I was assigned to Paris" is a classic starter). So apart from the classic "rebel warnings/imperial propaganda and patrolling stuff" I trend to use things from my life to incorporate them into my imperial officer stuff and adapt it to the situation. Apart from my accent, another example of this was with one group of kids, we were talking and there was one who wasn't very receptive. I found out he liked boxing (and I practice boxing in real life). So we started talking about boxing and how I had learned it through the imperial academy. So the kid started to interact with us. Also another theme of conversation that usually works is to "present" your fellow troopers (Explaining, this is a TIE fighter pilot, this a stormtrooper, their work is to do this, bla bla...), In general terms, since we are the faced characters, most of the people will start to interact with our troops through us. So for me talking with people is the first step to have this interaction. Some times they are afraid, or they are shy, or they don't know very well how to interact with you. As line officer, I just talk with people to breach that initial gap. And then it is always fun to see them how they enter in the game once you stay in character. In summary I believe that the key facts are: Situation and  first/main troopers to interact with people.
For the situation, experience in different types of events will get you better in knowing what works, and what doesn't. So you will be getting this with the past of time.
For the first/main interaction or lead role with the troops I think that we have it really easy. As our characters are usually leading the interactions of troopers and people in SW. So it is a win, win situation. If you stay in character, you will fulfill this role. On a personal level I like to incorporate things from real life whenever I see it could be useful. And body language is also important to stay in character.
    And of course ALWAYS:
Without these two the rest just doesn't work.
    Well, I hope this helps

imperial cloning scientist by Robert Barker, on Flickr

This thread is for the Imperial Cloning scientist.  We have seen this uniform twice with minor modifications.  It was seen in season 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian worn by Doctor Pershing, an Imperial Cloning Scientist.  It was seen again in the season finale of the first season of the animated series The Bad Batch.  The character greets Nal Se, a Kamino cloning scientist at the Mount Tantiss facility on Wayland, a facility that had Spartii Cloning Cylinders from the Timothy Zahn book "Heir to the Empire".

Research, reference photos and build progress should be posted here until such time that a costume is created and a CRL can be submitted.

I have seen a lot of interpretation through the years.  MANY.  The only ones that have gotten us in trouble are the ones that are brusk or intolerant.  We know Star Wars forwards and backwards.  There is no guarantee that the people that interact or view us may know anything of who or what we are, so do be cautious.

We are unlike any other costume in the imperial forces, because people get to see our face and that is often the people that they will directly interact with.  More than anyone else we are ambassadors.

I was wondering if y’all knew a good location to buy the uniform shirt and pants for an imperial line officer? I’ve found some on cossky.com and stormtrooper-costume.com but I wasn’t sure if they were any good?

I have been reading your comments, I know you are still coming up to speed with how we are doing things.

We have made the straight pants and Chelsea boots as optional variants.  Canonically there never was a social officer or a science officer.  There was simply an officer wearing straight pants and Chelsea boots per the uniform of the day where they were stationed.  If you have served in the military you would recognize that the CLR that we just issued for the Naval and Army officers in green is set up this way.

As to the First Order style boots being permitted, I have talked about the two principles at play.  We deal with principles because it is important to remove personality and preference from these decisions and serve the broadest number of members here.  Too often detachments try to improve the quality of costumes by making changes to the level 1 details.  That is not the place for it.  It should be done to the level 2 and level 3 areas.  These changes don't elevate standards so much as they block entry for many members.  We are seeing more comments from garrison officers speaking here or messaging me directly.

As for the principles, the first is we allow what we see.  We have no less than 4 recorded instances of officers wearing these First Order style boots.  This is a very easy precedent to follow because it is extremely clear cut.  You see it? You can do it.

The other principle is called allowing only the "idealized" version the costume.  This principle is more esoteric and has no hard line.  You see we do not make Star Wars in the legion, we only emulate it.  LFL makes Star Wars.  So we say that these boots were all they could find, but they really should be like a black unadorned English riding boot, not a first order boot.  What is the threshold to allow it to be included?  2 boots?  4?  8? 10?  What is the level and when is that level not arbitrary by the decision maker?

I am not for arbitrary.  And I am for full transparency.  And I am for members in the majority of the times knowing what they can and cannot do before they even speak with us.  After getting more people engaged, it is the most important thing as to why I have come to this office.

If a member has a First Order costume and wants to do a security services uniform and they reuse their FO boots....I am ok with it.  We can word that so it isn't prohibitive of them doing it.  We can still hold the ideal for level 2 and 3 as the English leather riding boots.  But no one is going to call the person not screen accurate... because there it is, on the screen.
And it gets that member trooping.

And canonically we call these First Order boots because we first saw them in The Force Awakens.   But we have now seen them in Solo and Rogue One.  They are reminiscent to the cuffs on boots found on Republic officers in The Clone Wars and Revenge of the Sith.  This is part of the reason why we are separating these CRLs from the OT CRLs.  The OT will not be touched.  These new CRLs will go where LFL takes us.  And I think that is the right direction.

Sorry to be so very late to this party  I'm not a BF2 player

I'm loving all the research and images you posted, saves me so much work. I wanted to re-do my own Kallus helmet for 3d printing for this but @MrShadow900 already did an excellent job here so I'm going to try and print that. And those blasters! wow! What software did you use? I want to see if I can get started on the shoulder armor (start small eh  ) and see if I can move on to the rest.

And if that fails I can always go oldschool like I did with my Kallus and build from scratch

Here's hoping this finally gets build

those may work (everything has to be approved by the GML of the outpost, it is best to speak to them), but those are not the push buttons used in the films.

These here use the pushbuttons and I think you'll notice the difference from the others.

I recommend these for belt boxes and code cylinders.

Greetings fellow officers, These past months have been difficult for all of us. So, I thought it would be fun if some off you would like to attend an online friendly gaming event. There are still details that I am working out for this event. If anyone is interested, Please let me know. Also, the game we would be playing is " AMONG US ". If you don't know what the game is, Here's a link at the bottom. Please be patient, because I'm still talking with buckrogersbarker about how to set this up. Thank you fellow Officers for your time.

The JRS thread was a little disappointing, with only 6 photos.  I've added another from my personal collection.

I added all of these to the Gallery as well.  I put them under ANH because that's my best guess, based on the dates included in the one exhibition photo.

There are very few, but I can get them.  Maybe a single page.  Mostly it is him wearing the same uniform that his daughter wears.  I think the last time we saw him was in "Agent of the Empire" by Dark Horse in 2013.

I have a guy in my garrison that does him.  I'll put him in contact with this.

because those are made of a heavy wool of fabric.

The ones we see on the Imperial military and Security Services in Rogue One are more of a water resistant material.

These were identified as being extremely similar to the German Wehrmacht Heer Motorcycle trench coats they made in 1942.

You can see the back flap here is exactly the same as those worn on Jedda in Rogue One.

We did see the First Order wear a warm weather coat in Rise of Skywalker, so as we see officers in different environments in the coming productions, we hope to see more options for outer wear garments.
