I second the Imperial Gunner option, I started out with the Bridge Crewman costume and picked up the items needed for a Gunner. Visibility is far better that most other buckets.

They may be able to make a CRL for this, stand by.  But when I say "stand by", I mean we can add it to the list.  I do see that your collar will need some work, a wider modesty panel behind for one, it looks a bit tight too.  Stirrups on you pant legs will improve the bunching at the top of the boots too.

there is an old saying "The clothes make the man".  Get one of these uniforms, put on the boots, don the cap, and you might find some of the anxiety will pass.

I know many people that do not like crowds that are transformed when they are in costume.  It may be costuming in general or the character they are dressed up as, but I have seen this more often than not.

I've been following the discussions an references quite closely.
I'd really like to see this costume added to our CRL list.
I made some screens and will add them here.

I also have pictures of me in my interpretation of the uniform.

It would be nice if we got this one signed off soon.

Hi all, I'd like to propose the following CRL. I've been working on a generic Rogue One ISB Officer based on Bozeden Jeems as seen in the visual guide. Since Jeems is wearing the same costume as Krennic does in his Flashback scene I think generic ISB officers could be added to the reference library just like the ANH ISB officer based on Yularens uniform.

    CRL Suggestion

    Imperial Hat, black
    For 501st approval:
Fabric is a medium weight suiting material matching the pants and tunic if applicable. Gabardine style weave is most accurate. Base of the hat is conical, with a crown about 4" (101.6 mm) tall. Front and rear "flaps" overlap on the sides and are about 4" (101.6 mm) high. Front bill extends 3" down, decorated with 6 or 7 concentric stitches. Imperial Code Disk is positioned in the center of the front vertical flap.
For level two certification (if applicable): Code Disk has a notch detail on the outermost disk.
For level three certification (if applicable): Code disk exactly matches screen-used prop.

    Tunic
For 501st approval: White wool or wool-like twill weave. Double-breasted with a left over right closure on the tapered yoke. Yoke wraps across the shoulder to the top shoulder seam. The standing collar has square corners and is 2" (5 cm) tall. Collar closes snugly and includes a modesty panel behind closure. Two code cylinder pockets on both outside panels of the jacket located half way between the top and bottom on the arm hole. Wrist length sleeves without decoration, cuffs or buttons.
For level two certification (if applicable): There is a dart of about 2" (50.8 mm) in the top center of the yoke. There is a seam running the entire circumference of the tunic, dividing it along a line hidden by the uniform belt. The back of the tunic has princess seams that run vertically and turn outward to intersect the arm-hole seam at the vertical center.
For level three certification (if applicable): Tunic must be secured on the right side by snaps or buttons, not Velcro. There is no topstitching visible anywhere and it must have a lining sewn in.

    Rank Bar
For 501st approval: See the Imperial Rank Bar page for more information. Worn on the left side of the tunic over the heart. Rank consists of colored plastic tiles mounted on metal bar. Each bar is 1.3" (3 cm) height, length is determined by chosen rank Rank tile dimensions are 1/2" (12.7 mm)width x 3/4" (19 mm) height and about 1/8" (3.2 mm). Tiles are mounted with 1/4" (6.4 mm) spaces between them. Rank tiles are translucent.
For level two certification (if applicable): Belt box, code cylinder, and rank badge configuration is consistent with film canon officers.

    Code Cylinders
For 501st approval: Two code cylinders are worn on the uniform, one in each cylinder pocket. Dosimeter style: True radiation dosimeters or exact replicas, with correct clip and blue top.
For level two certification (if applicable): Dosimeters have a silver, non-brass, clip

    Belt
For 501st approval: The belt is constructed from a non-textured leather or leather-like material. It is approximately 2" (50.8mm) tall. The belt is loopless. A single large snap or rivet is visible approximately 1" (25.4 mm) from the buckle. The belt is worn with the snap on the left of the wearer. The buckle is constructed from a horizontally brushed metal or metal-like material. The buckle size is approximately 2 1/2" (65 mm) high and 4" (100 mm) wide with 0.5" (12.7 mm) radius rounded corners. Buckle is adorned with an Imperial Code Disk at the center. Refer to the Imperial Buckle reference page for information on accurate and inaccurate style buckles.
For level two certification (if applicable): Belt is made of leather. Between 2" (50.8 mm) and 3" (76.2 mm) tall. Buckle has a slight horizontal curve. Belt has a groove 1/4" from the top and bottom edge along the length of the belt.

    Jodhpur Trousers, black
For 501st approval: Fabric is a medium weight suiting material, the weave matches the tunic material. Flared riding breeches are canon, with semi-stiff flares to the hip/thigh area. Breeches are worn neatly tucked into tall boots. If pockets are included they are not visible with the tunic on.
For level two certification (if applicable): Flare is more triangular in shape than other officers Pants are made from a wool twill.
    Officer Boots
For 501st approval: Knee-high, black, lace-less, smooth non-textured, leather or leather-like material. Rubber is not acceptable. PVC or synthetic material is allowed as long as it gives the appearance of leather. There are no stretch panels, buckles, snap tabs, or decoration. Boots have conservative heels. If zippers are present, they are hidden on the inner part of the boot shaft. Not visible from the front, side or back. The top of the boots may be flat or Spanish Style, but not Cowboy or Super Hero (pointed at the front) style.
For level two certification (if applicable): Boots do not have a zipper.
For level three certification (if applicable): Boots are made of leather. Not vinyl or PVC. Exact replicas of English riding (dress) boots or Equestrian boots.
      Gloves
For 501st approval: Black, wrist length gloves constructed of a non-textured leather or leather-like material. Gloves have a plain back and no visible adornments
For level two certification (if applicable): Gloves have a button on the palm at the wrist Gloves made of leather Gloves end just past the wrist

Which I am glad that it separates out his uniform.  The white uniform is the color of an imperial warlord, not a grand admiral.  Those are two very different items.

The Marvel Vader comics was such a fantastic series, but mainly for Aphra, 0-0-0, and BT-1. I'm so in love with the character of Aphra that I talked my wife into making the costume (will be done for Celebration).

So far I've ever new cannon novel published and I have to say that Lost Stars has been my favorite.

    Hi mate!

The next step of this costume is a better Face paint. The color on the white uniform is a big problem, so i suggest to create and sew a "Sub-Collar" and a "Sub-Sleeve" that you can remove and wash separately. My laundress is hating me :D. You can also add on the paint the airspray, it helps i swear!

    Imperial Officers' Armour
Currently we have two instances of Imperial Officers wearing armour
Grand Moff Tarkin Grand Admiral Thrawn Nothing says "Grand" more than some shiny armour and a funny hat (I mean) Helmet!

While we are in pre-CRL territory it's hard to say who would be allowed to wear these, wether it would be limited to the "Grand" Ranks or limited further to just Tarkin and Thrawn.  Also while it is in pre-CRL Territory, the question on which detachment would look after these is also up for debate:
Imperial Officers Corp, due to them being officers? or Armored Cavalry Detachment - because they look after armoured officers like Veers? But until then, nothing hurts us talking about it here!
(There was a little bit of chatter over in the Q&A forum - Armour Question)

As luck would have it, both sets of armour are different - because standardising it would make way too much sense.

    Grand Moff Tarkin's Armour
Grand Moff Tarkin wears modified AT-DP Armour and Helmet.  The difference being:
Helmet Grey in colour without Faceplate White Inverted Triangle versus Red Armour Field Grey(Olive Drab) in colour with Rank Bar White Inverted Triangle versus Red without Shoulder Bells  without Leg Armour More can be read about the AT-DP Armour over at the Armored Cavalry Detachment - AT-DP Drivers/Imperial Combat Drivers.

It's worth noting that there was a colour change for the armour between the Concept Art and the end product.  Here it is defiantly metal and matches his Belt, Code Cylinders, & Rank Bar but in the actual show it is Field Grey (aka Olive)

    Grand Admiral Thrawn's Armour
Grand Moff Tarkin wears the same Helmet as the AT-DP/Tarkin except recoloured different Armour to Tarkin is more like General Veers but different.  and a recoloured Helmet, The difference being:
Helmet White in colour without Faceplate with White Goggles not sure about decals Armour White in colour with Rank Bar Gold epaulets/shoulder straps rounder at the bottom than Veers missing electronics area (bottom centre) from Veers different buttons on the left hand side (also look illuminated) raised areas on right hand side flattened new seam lines

I'll have to go dig it up, but I have from Filoni in the early "The Art of the Clone Wars" his philosophy for the costume and character design choices he was making.  He uses the example of a clone trooper from Revenge of the Sith.  You have a comparison between the live action, the Tartakofsky designs from the earlier cartoon and what would be used in his series.

It is pretty illuminating in regards to why we see what we see on screen.

This is one of those things that we can ask Dave Filoni directly on Twitter (or other places).  He is likely to give you an answer too.  He started sharing (leaking) the character model sheets after seeing Brian Anderson do Pre Vizula the same month he was introduced in The Clone Wars.  He goes out of his way to help costumers.

I have had a good search around for the Concept Art diagrams of which the Animation Models are then created from.  They have been sourced from either starwars.com or the Star Wars Rebels Wiki.  I have only put the High-Res version up.

I'm sure I have missed some in the search, so please add them if you find them .

PLEASE NOTE: These are Concept Art and should be used in conjunction with Screencaps, this is due to possible updates being made to the final Animation Models (e.g. Thrawn's Rank Bar!)

I am going to be trying these guys this week for a set of boots.  Argentinapolo.com

I was at an equestrian center in Aiken, SC last Friday and they said it is near impossible to find English style riding boots in a size for most men.  But Polo being as big as it was in Argentina has a complete industry set up around manufacturing everything you can imagine for playing the sport, including these boots.  Their turn around time is pretty quick too.  I plan on ordering this weekend.
