I think that apart from the belt there's nothing much to be done .

Our glorious Imperial Uniform looks gorgeous but it has never been a comfy one to wear , looking sharp comes with " inconveniences "
Always makes me laugh when people think it's a piece of cake to troop a whole day as an Officer because it's " just soft parts "

I've never had similar issue with boots and most likely never will , but i've read that many people struggle to find fitting boots large sizes , or with large calves .

Stretching them yourself is probably the best solution you have right now if you can find a boot that you think won't require to be stretched 5 inches larger than it is ( so to speak , you get the idea ) . Otherwise i'm afraid that your best solution will be to wait , spare and buy custom boots from Hessen Antiques or something . They often make promotions on custom made boots too .

It's best that you wait a bit and afford boots in which you will feel comfortable trooping for hours rather than go for the fastest / cheapest way , or you might regret it sooner than you think . If you have to spend more money on one thing , let it be your boots .

Sorry for the double post here but something has caught my attention in your reply , where i'll have to strongly disagree .

First of all , as subtle as it was , i don't think that implying the usual " The UKG takes itself too seriously " i something that should be thrown here on the boards , nor anywhere else . I've read it enough already , and i've never seen someone write " some garrisons really want to push the accuracy bar " without having the UKG in mind . Because if we're going to play that game , there are things to be said about American Garrisons as well ...

I don't live in a huge country , we don't have that many troops are year unlike in the US , etc ... But i don't see why " trooping less " would mean " aiming for less " as well . I have no idea how many times i troop a year , probably less than a dozen times , yet i keep working on my costume to make it as accurate as i can ( L3 ) . For quite a few costumes the steps between L1 and L2 , L2 and L3 aren't huge , and it just takes little effort to achieve higher accuracy .

The " I don't troop a lot / It's a backup costume so i invest minimal efforts into it " is , in my opinion , exactly the kind of thought that leads members of the Legion to troop with costumes that could use some improvement EVEN for L1 , for instance : Officers with floppy breeches and baggy tunics . They don't look good , and there is no pretending otherwise . You don't have to be a " super trooper " to have a good costume . I often feel that people forget what the Legion stands for in matter of quality and accuracy .

Yes true enough , i think it's Thane who mostly comments about the alien cadets . I like how the New Canon is trying to make the franchise a bit less " male human-centered "

    ACTUALLY ....

There has already been a discussion regarding those trench-coats , and i hate to bring it up again but i have identified those coats months ago alongside Krennic's blaster and boots . The topic you are looking for is this one : http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/6059-rogue-one/&page=3

Thing is on those most recent pictures they don't quite look like rubber , so many it's the same kind of coat / pattern but made out of heavy duty fabric . After all those coats weren't exclusively used as rain-coats but were also wind-proof and dust-proof . Or maybe it's just rubber but matte instead of somewhat shiny . Can't wait for the Visual Guide , i'm sure it'll provide valuable informations and pictures as usual . After all they were kind enough to mention what was Hux's greatcoat made of in the TFA one , so they should mention the material for those coats as well . If they are indeed rubber coats they will be easy to find ... Sort of

Hmm ... They really look like they're made of heavy-weight fabric though , the parka kind of fabric , most likely treated to be water-proof as well . The have too many folds to be made of rubber . Dammit , we'll need to go custom made again ...

I'm afraid I don't get the point of "sitting down in Uniform", an Imperial Officer never sits down on duty, except for Grand Admirals. You can rest when you are dead
Now to be serious, I know the problem and there is not much to do....I stretch out the breeches everytime and I can't really bend the knees when sitting down, I have to keep my legs straight forward so that everyone is able to fall over them if they don't watch out it's funny but the trousers of the Staff Officer Uniform work better, don't know why...
my advice: carry one and don't care, don't let the hunt for rebels be disturbed by such triviality

The coat was discussed a bit here:
It seams to be based on WWII German motorcycle coats, rather than bought, since all the one's I've seen have a gray/black wool color, while these look like their the same as the body of the coat. Looking forward to more details on them, they will make a nice addition for those who troop with rougher weather.

ID boots aren't all that hard to find except when people need specific measurements , so there never really was a point in having IB make equestrian boots . But ever since TFA the costume designers working on the movies seem keen on making unique items not available on any market by adding plain odd shaped soles to boots like for Hux and the FO TIE pilots , so they may be interested in making black leather boots with that lovely little buckle on the back and a real marching role , not our usual thin equestrian soles responsible for sore feet after hours of trooping .
And since those are exact replica of WW2 boots , they might even attract a little part of non-Star Wars customers

But we have an officer with a six shooter and a cape, and a badass white tunic.

Fair enough , they made Kylo's gloves ... AND boots !

But although Krennic is defo a badass , i think the hype for Kylo was far superior . He had a lightsaber , a cool mask ... People always dig the masks and lightsabers . Oh well , we can hope

Those are quite fine gloves !

They're not entirely accurate but close enough .
I really do have the feeling that those gloves are going to be suckers to find .
Like some stated before , they were most likely made for the movie , so there's little chance we find identical gloves in stores or online , the position of the snap on the glove is unusually high .

Maybe , just maybe Imperial Boots might release a new pair of gloves ... If the movie proves that all Officers wear the same gloves as Krennic , then they may consider making them if enough people show interest .

I mistook your observations for opinions and for that i am sorry .

Since your observations are entirely correct however , i think it might be a good idea to up the L1 standards as most people might resort to a soft costume like Krennic as a back-up and thus invest less time and money in the costume . Particularly since Krennic is a unique character and will likely stand out of the crowd because of the white tunic / the cape rather than blend in the mass and be overlooked .

UnusedPizza basically summed up my opinion on the matter , i have nothing more to add regarding this debate .

If anyone needs push button rank bars I recommend Klaus's Frässtüberl   https://de-de.facebook.com/klauss3ddruckundfraesstueberl/
He ships all over europe and worldwide and he does a great job, I got my Grand Admiral and Staff Officer rank bar from him

    hope this helps

Not to be funny or anything but I think it is a little naive and slightly insulting (know you didn't mean it), with the research, time and money some of have invested in this costume, to say Krennic is not unique

Otherwise you could just take the existing ISB CRL and add a section for the cape

Krennic is going to be, if not already a very recognisable character from the film and is the main "bad guy"

Not to take anything away from all the non named officers, but they all look roughly the same, yes I know there are different colours and rank bars etc, how many officers in the films do you see walking around with capes on? Plus on a troop you'll only be able to have one Krennic out at a time

If that's not making him unique then I don't know.

Yes I agree we need to have a base level that we agree on and I know you can't please all of the people. However this is the reason we have armourers and start WIPs so that the people building costumes can get all the information and help to source all the bits and put it together. So with the rank bar when it is so obviously a push button type, then I feel it should be push button for l1 and you don't have an l2 or 3 for this item, if you look at the plexy version, it would look very wrong on krennic and out of place. Just because you don't know how to/can't make it or can't buy it in your own country isn't an excuse for not having it correct, for my Vader build I have had to order bits from all over the world.

For the cape, l1 white cape with split in back, l2 correct detailing and finish, l3 correct detailing, and material and colour

    And so on

I know you probably know this but you're not going to be able to have l1, 2 and 3 for every part

Yes costuming with the 501st is open to everyone, however, the 501st has standards which means unfortunately this will make some costumes to expensive for some or it'll take them a long time to complete the build, if we sacrifice those standards then we'll end up with costumers wearing Rubies TK and Vader costumes they picked up at toys-r-us

    Anyway just my opinion

And yes I think we need to mod the tarkin CRL to have slippers on it

No im suggesting that it should be done for all those that we know wore push buttons as for the skills i bought my plate from ebay and then glued the push buttons to it my skills in that dept are ltd and i found it easy following the Fils how to do or are you saying its easier to grind the metal and cut out say plexiglass blocks? and again its a suggestion based on my personal feeling

Edit there are those that make the push button bars

Its not unusual for the costume designers to do that, the costumer designer on Dredd for example deliberately did certain things because he wanted costumers to work for it

The CRL for Tarkin requires grey hair pulled back , both Isard CRL require black and white hair + blue and red eyes for Ysanne and finally the Daala CRL requires ginger hair and green eyes , just saying ...
If it bothers some that you are asked to replicate a character's appearance and claim it's discriminating , they should've done so a long time ago ...
You can wear a wig , you can use temporary dyes , you can wear lenses , there are many options , nobody is asking you to wear permanent dye or anything . I even think the CRLs states that if you can't wear lenses for medical reasons you can skip that requirements , so there are no excuses .

Yoda said : Do or do not , there is no try . Do only half the efforts on your costume you should not .

I think grey hair and blue eyes should be L1 requirements like with all the other costumes .

I think the rank bar is more " compact " but the tiles are pretty much the same . Since they reduced the spacing between the tiles and on the borders they probably managed to get it 1cm shorter or something .
Krennic doesn't seem to be a tall guy judging by the overall size of his uniform which was on display at several cons and his appearance on the live panel in London , but Ozzel and Piett are even smaller so the rank bar appear a little bigger on them

    http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/6432-rogue-one-director-of-advanced-weapons-research-references-pics/
I beg to differ on the buckle thingy , i mentioned it several times right after Celebration as this detail was one of those which really got the attention of my WW2 Reenactor eye ( Along with Krennic's blaster being a Maschinenpistole 38 and the Officer's trench coats in the trailer being German rubber motorized infantry coats )

I think i also made note of the size of the sole which appears to be thicker than our average thin equestrian boots , i'm pretty certain those are actual military marching boots , and the buckle at the back and the rectangular stitching on the sides , i've seen them a lot before . Also , given how Rogue One uses a lot of WW-2 era material for the costumes , i'm 99% sure of it when i say :
Krennic's boots are reproductions of WW2 German Officer's boots , minus steel toe cap .

    Looking familiar ?
