    I hate to necro a thread, but did you ever have a chance to do the comparison?
     
    I may need to order custom boots so I am looking at MUX as an option. The toddscostumes boots are 225 shipped and I would have to have them stretched for my calf, so tack on another 30 bucks, if they can even be stretched. So MUX at 275 shipped for custom calf and length sizes is sounding pretty darn good, for us big calfed dudes and dudettes.

    That first link (ELT) looks like those boots are approveable, but only for level 1 because they are not genuine leather.
     
    That second link (ASCOT) is not approveble because of the seam running up the front center of the boot.
     
    Good luck in your search and don't give up! I am personally battling through the "boot search" myself as well.

    The image was more of a diagram for my dad. He has no idea what Philo or Museum Replicas is. However, he has all the tools to make these so I wanted to send it to him to help be crystal clear about the sizing.

    Yup, IE here. Maybe I can make my way out to an LA troop after I finish my officer and we can order around all the underlings or I can snoop around with Garindan.
