BensID39999 got a reaction from Phil1880 in Cosplaysky elephant ear reduction
Well, about 2 years ago, we had a couple of seamstresses there working with us, I got them to successfully reduce the flares on my line officer jodhpurs by 4 inches. They have since expanded and are cranking out 20 of these uniforms a week and are very much into assembly line production. Many requests fall on deaf ears. Honestly, given the amount of material you have to work with, it is easy enough to reshape them and sew the seams back yourself, especially if you are proficient on a machine.

BensID39999 got a reaction from Wompet in How to: Basic Pants Pocket
I had my pocket side 1 slightly longer than side 2 so I can overlap at the bottom of the pocket for strength. Sew.
Here's what it looks like complete. Iron flat.
Last time on my staff officer jodhpurs, I secured the pocket with metal snaps. I found on troops the snap would come open and annoy me. This time, velcro. Beats carrying your phone in your boot!
Hope this is helpful to someone. It is basic sewing for those that make their own uniforms, but an easy pocket for novice seamsters and someone who needs it done quick!

BensID39999 reacted to Ruthar in Rogue One Ranked Naval Officer
Just to summarize my thinking for clarity:
Level One would allow the addition of the Navy Helmet. Level Two would require the Navy Helmet with the appropriate Rogue One accessories (2 belt boxes, 2 code cylinders, and correct Lt. rank badge) Level Three would require the Rogue One accessories to be the exact Rogue One replicas (silver clips, larger push buttons, and specific belt box dimensions) -

After all the discussion above, my suggestion would be making the following addition to the "Optional Accessories" list on the ID - Imperial Staff Officer (Black) CRL. What do you think of this, everyone? Closer to what you had in mind, @nocternus?

So in ANH, Captain Khurghee is in an olive uniform, and he is in charge of a detail of troops inspecting the Millennium Falcon. I have always thought he must be an army captain and not a ships captain, given his duties. He has six amber rank tiles in a row.

This is a very interesting point indeed and I completely overlooked this rank. He definitely is no Captain like Needa or Piett...
Only thing is that someone who does'nt know about Khurghee might confuse it with the Generals Rank of Romodi. Thanks to Lucas's confusion with the rank bars

I agree Ben in my opinion if we go forward all that's needed is a variant

So we have solid evidence to proceed with a CRL or a modification. Honestly, I would list the combination of small belt boxes, code cylinders with silver clips, rank bar, and Helmet as an optional Rogue One configuration on the existing staff officer CRL. This should not require a new CRL as it is a R1 Officer variant, in my opinion.

If that's the case, then even more reason to get something official.
That's exactly why I reached out to Glyn - he was a huge help for solidifying the rear helmet box on the AT-ACT helmet. The only mystery we had here was what kind of pants were used, and now we know direct from the source.

Along with the tweets, I tried to confirm a few other things, first being the gloves. Looking at the screenshots with a little light adjustment, we can confirm that the Captain wears gauntlet style gloves in this image:

Also, thanks to this picture of a tunic-wearing Navy Trooper in the Rogue One Visual Guide, I think it's safe to say that the gauntlet gloves do not have the three stitching lines on the back:

Armed with this new info and the Tweets, I put together a combination of my Staff Officer and my Navy Trooper to get something as close as I could:

What I thought was interesting from the Tweets was that Glyn mentioned that this was "security officer...captain." If we were to add a CRL for it, perhaps we could make a third entry for the Navy Trooper in the IOC list - "IN - Imperial Navy Trooper: Security Officer" (or something of that sort) to reflect the distinction.
Definitely exciting to be able to move forward. What do you all think?

BensID39999 got a reaction from hudel123 in PHOTOBUCKET CANCELLED IMAGE HOSTING!
If you guys haven't noticed, Photobucket image hosting is down. Though the banner says temporarily locked out, having read the terms of service that have just changed, it seems photobucket has decided it's free service will no longer support 3rd party image hosting. To retrieve your photos, you must agree to pay a minimum of 199.99!!! I had decided a year ago or so that their ads were annoying and switched to Imgur, but many photos in tutorials and most of my Troop Log will have to be redone. I will not pay that for terrible service! Those of you who use photobucket should jump ship for other image hosting sites that are free! i will slowly work on updating my pics in my troop thread, but I sense many resources across the legion's boards will be lost to this update. I cannot track down all of my pictures going back to 2014 on individual threads!
