I have a question, ANH Captian for the black staff officer, what color and amount, I have read here all Amber i think, but is it 4 or 5 tiles?
I thought Imperial Navy way 5 blue for Captian, and 3 red for Imperial Army Captian, what would be the correct number and color??
I don't believe there are any ANH Captains that wear the black Staff Officer uniform. From the CRL:
One row of four blue tiles - Lieutenant
One row of four blue tiles and two amber tiles - Commander
One row of two red tiles - Ensign
One row of three tiles - Second Lieutenant

So, I adjusted the scope position on my own blaster, then took a good HD image and cropped out the background.
Here's the final draft proposals (unless I missed something):
Holster, Version Four
- Made of black leather or leather-like material.
OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
- Holster is made of leather.
- Holster is worn on the right-hand side.
- Holster is affixed via a single loop over the belt.
OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
- Holster matches reference images.
SE-14R Light Repeating Blaster
- The barrel detailing is evident with the cocking lever and slider in place.
- The ejection port is also evident.
- The scope mount looks similar to the magazine but smaller in size.
- The scope does not protrude past the blaster body.
Thoughts everyone?

Looks good to me.
If the holster is all agreed on and boxed off, may I also propose an update to the SE-14r on this CRL?
At the minute it looks like this:
The issues being that:
- The image is the ANH TK version of the SE-14r (scope positioning)
- The description is quite lackluster
My proposal is to change it to be the following:
Image (example): Credit @Dave Maul, I'll remove the background in Photoshop when I get home.
SE-14R Light Repeating Blaster

- The ejection port is also evident.
- The scope mount looks similar to the magazine but smaller in size.
- The scope does not protrude past the blaster body.
First 3 bullet points are copied from the R1 SE-14r description on the Death Trooper CRL. I added the 4th to clarify that scope position does matter to distinguish between R1 and ANH, and isn't just personal preference.
Hopefully this will prevent any issues with new WIPs and make it easier for people to be spot-on first time around.

I would drop the word "exactly". Not only is it redundant (it either matches, or it doesn't match) but I can see potential for abuse.
Or, for that matter, we perhaps could just state what we're looking for: Smooth finish leather, with raw interior.
I think both are good. I guess it's whichever one Staff/Members prefer:
OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
- Holster is made from a single piece of leather.
- The finish of the leather matches reference images.
OR
OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
- Holster is made from a single piece of leather.
- Leather has a smooth finish with raw interior
-
So, it seems the image for the SE-14 should be updated to a HD image of the R1 variant (scope not protruding) like @Dave Maul posted.
I'll be scooting my own scope forwards to not protrude as Dave has done and as @bjsavage7 suggests.
Regarding the excessive text, please see a more streamlined version below @Hask:
Holster, Version Four
- Made of black leather or leather-like material.
OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
- Holster is made of leather.
- Holster is worn on the right-hand side.
- Holster is affixed via a single loop over the belt.
- No fixings are used. Joining edges are stitched only.
OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
- Holster is made from a single piece of leather.
- The finish of the leather exactly matches reference images.
Thoughts all?

Hello all!
Jeff advised to stick a thread up regarding a proposed change to the Imperial Navy Trooper: Dress Uniform CRL so as to get some eyeballs on it.
Currently, the CRL only lists holsters for Version One (ANH) and Version Two (ESB):
My proposal is to add another holster entry below "Holster, Versions One and Two" and above "DH-17 blaster", which would look like the following:
Image (example):
Holster, Version Four- Made of black leather or leather-like material.
OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
- Holster is made of leather.
- Holster is worn on the right-hand side of the belt.
- Holster is affixed via a single solid loop over the belt.
- No buttons/snaps/rivets/screws are used. Joining edges are stitched only.
OPTIONAL Level three certification (if applicable):
- Holster is made from a single piece of continuous leather. Holsters made from 2 or more joined pieces are not acceptable.
- The outer surface of the holster is smooth black with a subdued shine. The inside of the holster is a raw black leather texture.
Image credit to @ID6187. I just removed the background in Photoshop and rotated it to match the CRL style.
Myself and BJ both (among others I believe) have Philo's holsters and they're dead on to the reference images:

Funnily enough, I can pinpoint exactly when I found out about the 501st, and knew instantly that I wanted to join: November 2007.
I was just over 9 years old and my parents were out shopping (buying groceries for the Americans ). They saw this on the magazine shelf and knew I'd like it.
I must have read this magazine cover to cover hundreds of times, as you can tell by the wear. And taking up the middle of the magazine was this 5-page spread.
Seeing the obsession of my childhood brought to life by strangers in other countries, at events I could only dream I could go to. From that point on it was always in the back of my mind to join the 501st. There were times I forgot/was distracted by real-life stuff, but I'd always come back to Star Wars.
Getting my first paying full-time job in mid-2017 was the push I finally needed. Registered on the UKG forums in January 2018 and had my first costume (Gunner) approved 3 months later. Used the jumpsuit to get Crewman and TIE Reserve cleared, then finished my Staff Officer. Never looked back.
Here's to many more years

The uniformed member shown in the Imperial Staff Officer (black uniform ) CRL is wearing a 4 blue 2 red rank bar.
Hope the CRL Team will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that CRL is relatively old at this point. If you're going for a New Hope Officer, the newer 'ANH Staff Officer' CRL is the more accurate CRL. Here's the rank bar section from that CRL:
While the 'Staff Officer (Black)' CRL is still accepted for ESB/ROTJ/R1/, I don't believe any of those movies show a Staff Officer with a 4 blue/2 red rank bar.
Being an older CRL, it's possible that at the time of modelling the 4 blue/2 red bar was an accepted rank but is not anymore, as can happen with CRLs as Detachments look back over their references.

Many ANH officers are seen with Merr-Sonn blasters.
In a quick look at the most common officer CRLs, ANH Staff Officers and Staff Officers can have DH-17s or MerrSonns (both black). Warrant, Social (black) and Line (green) officers do not have blasters. (There are a ton of other officers, as well, but I'd check the CRL directly for their specific weapons allowance (if any)).
The rank bars depend on the officer portrayed, primarily what color. But generally, black Staff Officers can have any of the following single rows: three reds; four blues and two ambers; or four blues*
That last one I'm not positive on- I had one, but I seem to have lost mine, so I can't remember exactly how many blues there were on it. A lot of people like the four blues two ambers because it's the biggest. I personally have all three and rotate between them depending on what others are wearing that day and what I feel like putting on.
This is for Level 1 basic approval- if you do L2 or L3, you would need to replicate exactly an on-screen officer, with their combo of rank bar and weapon or no weapon.
4 blues is indeed correct, with either the Power 5 (Lt. Treidum) or the DH-17 (Lt. Tanbris)

They appear to be very much active, looking at their Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ImperialBoots.421/
With SWCC coming up, I imagine they are closed for that. So the April 19th re-opening does appear to be this year.

Can't recall a 4 blue/2 red bar. Possible you mean Commander Praji, who wears 4 blue/2 amber?
Admittedly, when you search for Commander Praji on Google, a lot of the figures do have 4 blue/2 red rank bars.
He and many other ANH Officers (including the Death Star Gantry Officers) carried a Merr-Sonn Power 5.

Welcome to the IOC!
Looking good so far. The tunic, hat, belt, boots and code cylinders look good from what I can see.
2 things do jump out to me as issues, although my eye isn't as keen for details as some of the veteran Officers here.
First would be the jodhpurs. They do look a little baggy and the shaping of the flares seems too low in my opinion.
Second is the Admiral rank bar. As far as I know Admiral bars can't be worn on a Staff Officer as it is seen exclusively on Line (Naval) Officers. I'm sure someone else will be able to confirm this.
A few HD pictures of front/back/sides would be good for Advisors to look over too. I think with the above 2 issues sorted (and a good press/iron) you should be good to go.

Somewhat back from a hiatus and just looking through the CRL.
Noticed that the SE-14R entry doesn't quite match the other 2 blaster entries, so is a bit vague on which configuration can have one.
The other 2 entries also don't reference Version Four.
Current CRL:
Suggested amendments added in green (actual colour would be matching blue of course):
DH-17 Blaster
SE-14R Light Repeating Blaster
OPTIONAL Level two certification (if applicable):
