PArmstr reacted to bjsavage7 in ANH enlisted death star personnel in olive uniform
Thank you for putting together this thread. This has been a costume that's been overlooked and underappreciated, IMO. Good to see someone show it some attention.

PArmstr got a reaction from vonmoen in ANH enlisted death star personnel in olive uniform
I started collecting threads where the “hall walkers” are mentioned due to the fact I’m thinking about creating one of these after I'm done with my ISB (ANH) and warrant officer (ANH).

PArmstr got a reaction from Adianu in Uniform Mods for women
There is a site that has Blue Ray quality screen shoots of all the Star Wars movies. I use them for my research all the time because I can't get clear shots from my DVD.
http://starwarsscreencaps.com/
The black officer uniform from ANH is similar to the uniforms of the movie Fahrenheit 451. They used many different officer uniforms in ANH. Only the olive type was used in ESB and ROTJ in the colors olive and black.
Clothears Costume made the black ANH officer uniform for one of the IOC members. The pictures might help.

PArmstr got a reaction from DarthFunk83 in ANH enlisted death star personnel in olive uniform
I was wondering if we could create a CRL for these guys. There are quite a few of them in the hallway and elevator scene in ANH. There are also two of them wearing IN helmets in scenes were Tarkin is standing in front of the death star viewing screen. Starwars.com uses a picture one of them in their death star trooper databank entry. I don’t think that is the best example of an IN but that is a different story. http://www.starwars.com/databank/death-star-troopers
I think this simple uniform could be a good alternative for people who want to have an IOC costume but have problems finding fitting officer boots or jackboots and think the ISB version with the regular trouser gets dirty to easily.
Enlisted personnel in olive uniform in the hallway / elevator scenes (Pictures were taken from starwarsscreencaps.com)
Uniform details of the enlisted personnel in olive uniform in the hallway / elevator scenes
· olive imperial hat with code disk
· regular imperial leather belt
· no belt boxes
· no gloves
· black dress shoes without shoe laces or buckles
· olive straight legged trousers / dress slacks
· olive tunic
· no code cylinder pockets
· no code cylinders
· no rank bar
· no weapon
· no holster

PArmstr got a reaction from WhiteWalker in Which Costume?
I’m planning on using my two officer costumes as back-up costumes when I can’t handle being in my jawa all day long. I have asthma and on some days I just don’t get enough air under my mask. I also don’t want to wear my jawa at crowded events if I don’t have a handler. I had two bad experiences when I was trooping with a small local group. I haven’t had a bad experience at an official 501st legion event yet but I prefer going to smaller events and avoid the real big ones. That might have helped. I want to keep the jawa as my main costume because the people love it and I’m camera shy if I’m not hiding under a mask due to being obese.

Remember people see what they want to see no matter what you do to convince otherwise, WW1 flying corps uniforms were more like the Imperial officer than Nazi ones

PArmstr reacted to kman in Questions about "Joining" the 501st and IOC
That's a good line to use. "No, sir, these uniforms were modeled after WW1 flying corp uniforms, not Nazi uniforms, although you're not the first to make that mistake. And there's your Imperial history lesson for the day! May the force be with you..."

PArmstr got a reaction from Stormystormtrooper in screen-used Imperial line officer tunic from LFL
Many people try to use the McCall's M 4745 Civil War pattern for the tunic. I don't recommend it because the shoulders of the sleeve are weird. The instructions are also a little bit difficult to follow.
https://mccallpattern.mccall.com/product-search?ref=M4745
Some people use the Butterick B6340 pattern for the jodhpurs trousers.
https://butterick.mccall.com/b6340
I suggest using Hawk's pattern from the forum for the tunic.
http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4491-imperial-officer-id-sewing-tutorial/
If you want to use the McCall's M4745 pattern as a base I recommend following Char Tozard steps. He did a very good job with his uniform.

The Agent Kallus CRL is being written and should be online soon I hope.
In the mean time I can give you a few pointers
Belt: The belt is the same as standard officers, except for the buckle.
Gloves: standard black (leather) gloves but covered with what I started to refer to as "gauntlet armor"
Boots: black boots ofcourse, but covered with shin armor.
check my build topic.
Im the Kallus on the right. Left is Federico

Actually, the ISB tunic is different than the other tunics. The backs of the tunics are the same, but the front seams and overlap are different. The ISB tunic front flap cuts straight across from the bottom of the collar out toward the shoulder, and there are no code cylinder pockets. The actors wearing the uniform don't seem to have shaping seams on the front of their tunics, but I'm gonna have to, since I don't think a baggy uniform looks good.
I'm just following along the lines of the front panel, and then having the front princess seams end closer to the armpit to make them less noticeable, but still allow them to do their job. The few times I've seen drawings of women wearing the ISB tunic (i.e. Alecia Beck, though some details on her tunic are suspect) that seems to be what's going on with the shaping seams of the uniform, and it makes sense.
