Some of you may know, but many likely do not, but I just got married this summer. And, as both of us were huge Star Wars fans, we had... lets say, a themed wedding. It was really great. I dressed up as my Grand Admiral, my best man and all my groomsmen were Officers. Even the bridesmaids wore rank bars, and Krennic (who is also our friend) did the ceremony. We also invited my Garrison to come out and walk down the aisle with us. It was spectacular, and I thought some of you would like to see the pictures. All photo credits go to JRush Photography.
We even had a Star Wars cake!! And it was delicious!!
Some photos that we took over one of the weekend and we wanted to have some fun shots! and I used the Disneyland rank bar that they had. I pretty happy that the size looks pretty good.
As we wanted to do one photo on wearing a dress or a skirt with our officer outfit. So early on I did a inspired imperial Officer dress with a high slit after I saw the Solo movie on the officers socializing at the crimson dawn party. So just wanted to have a inspired dress for female imperial Officer.
Hello! ID 84795 again!
Just wanted to share this fantastic photo taken by the awesome Chiara Santaterra! Here it's my Transport Security Officer

Hey Matt, where in California are you located? I recently wrote out a little how-to on the submission process as a whole, which might be helpful.
This information is specific to my Garrison, the SoCal Garrison (Ventura, Los Angeles, down to Orange County, essentially), but I'm happy to substitute the links for your home Garrison should it be different. (and if you're in my garrison, please let me know so I can twist some ears about responding to prospective members a little faster, LOL!)
SUBMISSION PROCESS:
Submitting is pretty straightforward (as long as you understand the process, LOL):
There's a how-to on my Garrison's website, but I'll break down down for you as well:
http://southerncaliforniagarrison.com/home/how-to-join/
The basic steps are:
Choose and complete your costume,
Fill out the 501st application form at 501st website, and
Email photos to your Garrison Membership Liaison (GML) for approval
Then you wait...
That''s it! Your GML will let you know if they need any changes or tweaks, or if you're approved.
Here's more detail:
The ACTUAL Submission/application goes directly to the 501st, via their main website. This is where you apply to become a member:
https://www.501st.com/members/join_form.php
Part of the form is picking your "TKID" number, which is basically the serial number that will be YOU for the rest of your time with the 501st. (it's always "TKID", even when you're not looking to be a Stormtrooper, and even when you get costumes that have a specific (different) prefix, like Officers are ID, but they don't refer to it as an IDID) There's a link to a page of every available number on the application site, so just pick your top choices (in case someone else sneaks in their application ahead of yours)
If you haven't already, you ALSO want to join your local Garrison's forums (in my case, Southern California Garrison, aka SCG):
http://www.southerncaliforniagarrison.com/forums/
PHOTOS:
You need 5 CLEAR and well-lit photos, against a plain neutral background: Front view, back view, left side, right side, and an "Action pose" (imagine a picture you'd put on your very own trading card). When you do a costume with a helmet, they'll also need a 6th photo, with you holding your helmet (so they can clearly see your face), referred to as the "bucket off photo". But that's not necessary with a regular Staff Officer, since the hat doesn't hide your face.
Email those photos, biggest size you can (but not RAW format, regular JPG is fine), to the GML for your garrison. In my case, the SCG's GML is at: gml@southerncaliforniagarrison.com
It's definitely not *required*, but if you want, feel free to include close up photos pf any details you think might help, over and above the required photos. Details like the notched code disc on your hat, etc. Look over the CRL and see if there are any requirements that you think might benefit from a photo, if those details can't be clearly seen by zooming in on the main pictures. Otherwise, if the GML feels they needs more detail, they'll ask you directly via email.
Also not strictly required, but you can also list the source of make of each of the parts. When the judge's are already familiar with the supplier, knowing "Oh, those boots are from Imperial Boots, and I know they make their boots to spec, so that should be fine" can help the judges tick the boxes faster and easier, and cut back on questions.
After they're reviewed (could take a few days, could take a couple weeks, depends on the current workload!), you'll get a "congrats, you're in!" email, or a "please send more detail pics of this and this" email, or a "please fix this thing that we think is not right, and re-send your pictures" email. You can take it from there.
Once you're approved, you'll want to register for an account, with your new TKID, on the main 501st forums. (Note it may take a day or two for them to activate your number / TKID in the database before you can)
https://www.501st.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=login
Once you're all in and registered, don't forget to come back here and request full 501st member access, and full IOC member access, here! (you can't access the merch sections without full access!):
You'll need to paste in the link to your 501st member profile (search the membership database for your ID, once you've registered on the 501st site) You'll see what others have done, in the thread above.
You'll want to do the same for your home garrison forums, which will have a similar thread. (SCG's requests go here, for instance: http://www.southerncaliforniagarrison.com/forums/index.php?/forum/36-stage-3-after-youre-approved-501st-access-request/ )
After all is said and done, you should be a full member of 3 forums: 501st, Garrison (such as SCG), and Detachment (IOC, here). If and when you do a different costume that part of another detachment, you'll want to join that detachment's forums as well (for instance if you were working on Stormtrooper armor, you might want to request 501st access at FISD (whitearmor.net), too.) Everyone should belong to at least 3 forums, but people with multiple costumes might have more.
