Ditto what Sean says, CosplaySky does a great job on the uniform but they just haven't mastered the hat yet for some reason. Unless you're planning to have someone make the hat for you, I wouldn't worry about the extra fabric as it's not hard to match a black hat to your uniform.  It's a much bigger issue with the green uniform.

I know that Molly here on the boards makes a nice hat and she has a short waiting list right now, my wife is on her list for her Officer build.  Just PM her at MKate21 and she'll add you to the list.  While the Disney hats are approvable, they're hard to find.  We were just over at the Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios last weekend and they told us they haven't had them in months.

I've seen some great ideas out there for how folks are transporting their Officer gear and I wanted to see what I could assemble on a budget.  Here's my $35 solution that replaces the duffel bag that I've been using:

The box is a Sterilite 40G wheelie for $22 at Walmart.  It's smaller and much lighter than my Husky armor box and as you can see holds my boots, all of my Officer gear, and even a collapsible garment stand to hang things up when dressing.  Bonus, the inside of the lid is a great place to display patches:

The small box was $5 at Target plus another $8 for the chair padding foam from JoAnne's.  I cut out insets from the foam and this made the perfect storage box for all of the accessories on the first layer and then my Krennic pistol on the second layer:

The box will also hold my Staff Officer uniform in it's garment bag when folded in half.  It will not hold the Krennic cloak bag, but then again nothing will!

That is a tidy setup! I like that all of the accessories end up together. It's like an onion! As far as the big case goes, it almost looks like that could do double duty for a TK, minus helmet of course. I am all about dual purpose!

My entire bridge crew fits in one of these American Tourister suitcases. I might add a garment bag at some point, but I am far less picky about wrinkles with that suit than others are with officers, so I just fold it in half nicely and lay it on top of everything.

The case always gets positive comments!

EDIT: The original post did not contain the first paragraph for some reason. Oops!

I would run those boots by your GML before spending the money on them.  My one concern is that stretch panel that's on the inside.  The CRL says: "There are no stretch panels, buckles, snap tabs, or decoration."

I either do the fist pose like this one, pointing forward, or hands behind my back. One side effect that my wife caught me in last week is that I've started unconsciously defaulting to these poses for any pictures. Not always the best look for your happy family pic!

WhiteWalker reacted to kman in 'Star Wars Rebels' Renewed for a Fourth Season
Copied from my post yesterday, in another thread:

Rebels airs on DisneyXD.  If you subscribe to the channel from certain TV providers, you can stream all of season 3, free, right from the source:

    http://watchdisneyxd.go.com/star-wars-rebels

(Season 3 is still airing now, episode 16 was this past weekend)

Unfortunately, if you want to watch the earlier seasons, I think you have to buy the DVDs because they're not available on Netflix or Hulu.  You can also stream them from Amazon, iTunes or YouTube, but have to pay for it.

It's not available anywhere for free, other than recording the episodes as they air live.  (via legal sources, anyway)

Some good info here, if you're just thinking about wading into Rebels.

I didn't say all the CRLs were perfect, did I?  Not everyone who writes them does a good job, or sometimes they have different points of view.  I should have said then:

"The CRLs *should* only cover what you can see, however since they are written by people and people aren't perfect, or sometimes want to go beyond that charter, there are inconsistencies.  Even when an experienced team with best intentions writes a CRL, sometimes errors are made.  In addition, considering that CRLs need DL/LMO approval, they reflect the desires of those in those roles at the time, and as those roles can change from year to year, what they want to emphasize can also change from year to year."

Does that help?  Personally there are a lot of things I'd like to see cleaned up on the IOC CRLs, but I'm neither the DL nor LMO, so can only state my opinion in light of what the CRLs are meant to be (having been writing them since their inception), and the evidence we see on screen/canon sources.

True, I agree some clarification would be beneficial.

Although that language would eliminate the back seam, which is necessary until we figure out how to grow small cylindrical cows.

Simple answer, yes.  The Rank bars may be changed across the board at some future time, but for now they kept the same wording and referenced the same information as all other CRLs
