It would make sense to me ... sweet sense

If I look at the rod-style-codecylinder I always have to think of those: https://www.google.de/search?tbm=isch&q=honey+spoon+metal&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjMoc3d1ofXAhVHWBQKHYYlAqIQBQgiKAA&biw=1920&bih=932&dpr=1
Sounds funny, I know. Perhaps I'll try how they work someday.

According to the CRL they should be leather. But they appear matte indeed. More like fabric than leather.

In Germany it is 72,99 € for the olive and 96,99 € for the black uniform.

There still is the rule that visual reference beats CRL in such a case, isn't it?

Some of the gray suited bridge crew are missing Imperial Cogs too. Perhaps they were only on the right arm?
That's one of them, in the third picture. The grey to the left. Perhaps he got degradated Or the costume-department ran out of cogs

Perhaps write your request in here:

Hi Lance. What are you exactly looking for? Do you already have a costume or are you starting to collect Information here before getting suited?
-
I know two tailors in Germany. These Ladys are here on the IOC as well. Maybe they want to get added. One made at least one custume that already got cleared L3. I will ask them if they want to get listed.

No problem. Just to add one more thing, when I give them my custom measurements, I also give them additional measurements that they dont ask for just so that the fit will be much better. I give them neck, inseam, outseam and shoulder width. The uniform tends to be better, in my opinion.
When I once ordered an uniform from them, I did exactly the same thing. It came at least two sizes too wide. Same with my wife's first uniform and my fathers ISB. Sad enough even though I took my mashine to correct the worst parts of it (modesty panel enlargement downwards, reducting and stiffing These all to commen "elephant ears").
They really have the correct pattern but concerning sizes they seem to think all of their customers being both - obese and conceited

Even in the production of ESB the pointed collar wasn't a consitant choise. Maybe we should have both collar Options in Level 3 because theres is plenty of proof for the two of them.
Here's a pointed collar in ESB:
While these seem to be flat-edged:
Definitely flat-edged here:
-
We can all vote on this now:
-
I have done a bit of research on this question and found some evidence for both collars in ANH and ESB.
First let us have a look at ANH, the scene when the two scanning-crewmen prepare to check the Millenium Falcon:
Obviously no proof of a pointed collar here.
But the imperial fashion found other lovers in ANH, so I do not wonder to see rebel com-officers with the same suit on Yavin 4
The second officer from the left has a collar that seems to be higher than the others but crumbles a bit. This could be on of the suits with that pointed collar. His neighbor to the right definitly has the flat-edged collar
In ESB we find evidence for the pointes collar. In this certain scene here the crewman on the left might wear a suit with the flat-edged collar. His fellow in the middle has got the pointed version.
We see in ANH the imperial scanning-crewmen have no pointed collars. In ESB it's there without a doubt. Will that have any influence to the CRL in Level 3? Will there be a differentiation between the two suits used?

We have first draft of wording and a model The next step then would be Phil (if he agrees for sure) sending high-res pisures to the LMO-Office for the review of both - the pictures and the text, right? And of course a statment from Mark Ryner about this 451-idea.
I have thought on Level 3 concerning the belt.If leather is dyed only on one side and then cut, the edges would be undyed as well as the inside of it. So due to the fact that the ANH-Staff-Offcers had undyed edges, the inside of the belt yould be undyed too. But since no-one sees it, it would not matter whether or not this is included in the CRL, is it?
So we could include this to th CRL maybe:
For level three certification (if applicable):
- ANH Staff Officers should have a belt with undyed edges. The inside may also be undyed
-
Do we have a member who could serve as a model for a 451-CRL? In Legoland Germany this year I met with a fellow trooper from the UKG, Adrian Tegg. As far as I know his son wears a 451-tunic. Shall we get in touch with him for photos?

@Paggeldiwwer do you also have a pattern for the jodhpurs?
I made some for my old Tarkin-uniform but never became friends with that.
Meanwhile I found another one from an US-Pattern-Vendor: 2125 English Riding Breeches from Walker's Western Wear.
I will test this pattern. I already see it has to be customized at some spots but that's just little work to do. Many of my Garrison-fellows have used this pattern for their Shoretrooper-pants and are very happy with it.

Just come over to us and let's watch it together in december.

They started selling tickets in Germany this morning. It did not take long until most seats in the cinemas in my region were sold.

I'm not sure if we should force the double rankbar on the imperial pattern tunic as in R1 there are black tunic officers with single rank bars. At least one can be clearly seen in the death star sequence (there are multiple ones present) and the one who relays the order to fire and the Officer guarding the Vault door on Scarif.
Since the "imperial pattern" exists for staff officers in RotJ, Rogue One and uncountable comic, computer games and so on, it'll be a L2 thing to call for a Special form of the rank bar. If you like tp replicate an officer from some Comics you might have to wear an "imperial pattern" as well as you have to choose the double rank bar. If it should be a character from ANH, then you have to have an "451-pattern"-tunic and only a single rank bar would be allowed.
But this topic should care about 451-tunics. The rank-bar-thing concerning the imperial tunic should be discussed in the specific thread then.

Some more impressions of our German Garrisons Weekend in Speyer:
Great to know that some of the people on the group-picture are around here on the IOC Our friends from our neighbor-Garrisons in France and Luxemburg for example. I hope we meet more often and share our enthusiasm!
