The code disks if I remember rightly are not grooved like the OT ones they are available, the skirt area on the tunics flare out more than the OT, below is a R1 disk

A R1 tab on the existing staff officer is possible but the tunic for example has slight differences, R1 disk's do not have a notch and are again different to the OT ones, R1 cylinders had silver clips, belt boxes are indeed smaller
