Yes but its more than just that, the present staff officer CRL will be replaced with this new one. Obviously there will be a period of time before it happens to give people time to finish costumes they are working on.

Not really though we do try and match what was seen on screen, the clip colour differs for movies. OT had brass clips Rogue one and Solo had silver.

That's correct the tunic is different in quite a few places the seams at the back are another good example.
