My original contention that he belongs to IOC because he didn't really fly a TIE other than as a means of transport went out the window this morning.
 
That said, he used to be ISB, so that's still our wheelhouse.

IGC does have our "Weapons Technician" and a WIP "Droid Technician" (also from Rebels), so on top of being Gunners we're also engineers and technicians.
The suit for these Sith Techs look very similar to the First Order Gunner and First Order Crew uniforms, which is similar to the OT bridge crew and gunners wearing the same jumpsuit.
I will agree that the helmet is more or less a modified Navy helmet, but with a Gunner faceplate.
So this is one of those suits that easily could fall into both detachments.

Very Interested in doing one of them - what ever name is decided upon

Make a thread where you post the event attended and attached a pic for each event.  After a certain number, you get a recognition... 25 troops, 50 troops, etc

Hello, I was told to create a topic here.
I created this costume for my boyfriend. All I have is about 9 pictures of Eli with this uniform. Now I know his uniform is like a line officer so that was easy to get everything I needed. But then we had to get the hat which we don’t really want but need for approval. Should be receiving it in the next week or so. But why not have his own CRL?! I also read the other Eli topic to make sure we weren’t doing the same costume.

This will be the home for the "Official" work list.  "Official" in this case means ones that the Command Staff are aware of, and thus should not be taken to mean nothing else is in the works.
It will remain locked and updated by staff as additional CRLs are brought to our attention and (behind the scenes) work begins.
Please continue to use the CRL Updates area to discuss possible revisions as normal.

Biggest issue is there is no centralized place where all of this info is collected, and it's a lot of work to collect info on each thing needs to be listed, and how much detail to include with each entry.  And there's maintaining it on an ongoing basis.
 
It seems like a small thing, and everyone likes it in theory, but each step forward I take, I discover other things that complicate it.

If you use heat n bond, you'll need to make sure that either you use a backing fabric on the adhesive to prevent them from melting together, or leave the backing on the adhesive until you've finished ironing the adhesive on both sides. Otherwise, yes, it will adhere to itself when heat is applied.
 
If you use an ironable interfacing, as kman suggests in the post above, then it wont be a problem. Make sure to use a medium weight or light weight interfacing, as heavy weight interfacing will likely be much too stiff.

There are lots of ways to stiffen the flares on your officer pants. This is how I do it.
Purchase an iron-on fabric stiffener product that you like. I've use this one (HeatnBond) and one from Sulky:

Cut the stiffener to the size you want. This depends on how stiff you want the flare of the pant to be. I typically go with a width of the flare to the inside where it meets my leg.

Turn the pants inside out and place the cut out pieces under the flare to the edge and trim off to a rounded edge.


Iron the rounded cut out to the inside of the pant leg. Depending on how stiff you want the flares to be you may just want to stabilize the front of the flare or both front and back. I personally do both.


When the heat cools off peel the paper off.

Enjoy the stiffened flares. (that's an order)

Generally it helps to add interfacing to give them extra stiffness.

This may exist somewhere as I know we've all talked about this before, but can we sticky a "Working List" of what CRLs are looking to be updated and maybe keep it updated quarterly?  Even it's it is just a brief outline of what's being worked on and what's in the pipeline.
I'm curious what CRLs are being worked on currently and if there is discussion, and it's open to all members, would like to view it.  Just curious.

I too also really like this idea.  Thanks for bringing it up!

That's not a bad idea, I think I like that.  We'll discuss some options for something along these lines.

Rony Bridges who played the Admiral in The Force awakens has sadly passed away, Rony was a good friend to me and the 501st, smooth sailing Admiral.
