I think they should fall under the ISB section of the IOC.

The Imperial Army wears green/grey, so the folks on Aldhani would be the army troopers. It might be appropriate to call the black-uniformed ones Imperial Security Troopers?
Honestly, that is where I am going with this. I believe they are dedicated ISB Security NCO's. The chart that was posted elsewhere about the ISB has its own Security Division listed. -

So, I studied the recently appeared information on wikipedia about episode 12. In the article, in the list of appearances, as well as in the article by Ferrix garrison and in the description of the plot of the series, they are marked as army troopers. Thoughts? However, I expect to see more information in the future.
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Ferrix_garrisonOnly problem with that is can't anyone post that description on wookiepedia? Its kind of like how Hasbro calls them 'Officers' on the packaging but we know that they arent.

I'm assuming Robert is referring to this one.

I would suggest waiting for the official name of these guys, so that later I know exactly who to attribute them to. It may turn out that this is an army special forces. We don't know for sure yet.
I'm going to respectfully disagree with this. We see tem working directly for the ISB during the torture scenes, bringing the prisoners in and out. They are providing security at the CorpSec officer when they kicked everyone else. This means dedicated ISB security forces to me. -

Has anyone given any thought to these guys and where they will fall? Since we see them under direct control of the ISB, pulling security when they were kicking the CorpSec officers out of their offices.

It looks like foil tape.
I agree it looks too wide.
I know a LOT of folks are talking about foil tape, but I don’t think it’s foil tape. Texture is all wrong and it’s too flat.Im thinking a piece of ABS cut to size and them painted?

Belt boxes. There may be smaller sizes. -
British army tunic hooks. Apparently they use/used them in their dress tunics to hold the belt in place. Thanks to Sheev for the pic.

In the scene where the Commandant is outside with the Lt, you can see the different shade top/bottoms on the guard in the background on the left.

Matt, if you look at the screenshots he posted a few posts above, you can se the strip. Im thinking of just using a piece of ABS cut to size.
-
Nice Joshua! It looks like on the Commandant cup anyway, the strip is on the opposite side from the flatspot?

"Apparently we were meant to have the shin greaves but they had broke loads of them by the tike they came to film in Scotland"
I know this feeling. LOL I accident stepped on one of mine and crack it. -
Thanks Fraser and thanks for sharing!

I know Jim uses Feld Grey thick weave Gaberdin per his website for his Muddy/ICATs. Its like denim but lighter with a little stretch. Could that be it?
-
Glad I waited. Now we know what they covered the logo up with

As a approved IAT and Engineer, Im offended at the word 'ordinary'. LOL I kid I kid
The material to me, looks very mudtrooper/ICAT. Similar cut coat but with multiple pockets, no cuff seam etc. Like BDUs as mentioned. Pants look like standard Muddy/ICAT but in the ICAT green/grey, with the same in black for the troopers on Ferrix who wear the same style jacket but in black.. -
