  1. I switched to Imgur awhile back as I was getting tired of Photobucket's ad spam. I know they have to make a buck, but damn. Now that they require a paid account for 3rd party hosting, the ad spam is worse so I won't even use it for normal photo storage.

  2. Nice! I haven't used her products but I ordered a belt from her when I was getting my first costume together. While I was waiting my GML (now GCO) gave me an extra one he had as it was the only piece I lacked to start trooping. I notified Tiggie and she gave me a refund with no issue. One of these days I may go ahead and get one and pay the other one forward.

    I had to do the same thing since I have size 13 feet.  I bought motorcycle boots from Boot Barn and cut the bottom strap off.  You won't get level 2 or 3 with them but you can still get approved.  Good luck!

     Most should actually be good for level 2.

  4. My advice when ordering from vendors that don't have active run threads (and even then) is to always reach out to them before sending payment. A lot of vendors (by a lot I mean most) provide their items in addition to normal jobs, family commitments, etc. They may be on vacation, waiting on supplies, or just taking a break for a bit. Doesn't hurt to drop them a line to make sure they have some items on hand or are in production and that the vendor is available.

  5. Wampa Wear and Cosplay Sky are the two most popular. CS normally has them in stock while WW restocks maybe every couple of months depending on the size you're looking for. WW also has the mandarin collar in the back should you want to go to higher level of accuracy.

    Other vendors who have them are Faraway Creations and Pilot Bay. You can also make yourself If so inclined.

    I personally think Rogue One should be grouped with the OT, since it is effectively Ep 3.999.  Even if there is a difference in costume construction (due to the 33 years since ROTJ/40 years since ANH), they are "supposed" to be the same and are much closer together than pre-Empire Republic uniforms.  Rest of it looks good to me.

    It can go whichever way is good for organization. I put Anthologies and Prequels together because technically nothing is OT except, well, OT. Other reason was the limited number of officer costumes in the prequels. You can also list by era (exception being Expanded Universe);

    Republic Era and Eve of the Empire (Ep 1-3, The Clone Wars animated series)

    The Rule of the Empire (SW Rebels, R1, Ep 4-6)

    The First Order (Ep. 7-9+)

    Expanded Universe (Novels, games, comics)

    This way keeps it to four sections. Any other anthology movies that come out will fall into the appropriate era (likely The Rule of the Empire).

    The funny thing is, until last night I had never seen the character!  I was looking for costume references (rows of stitches on the hat, etc.) and Google Image popped up with that picture. "Holy crap! That's me!"

    So, if I can meet up with an Admiral Thrawn in Orlando...

    Need to get a captain rank bar to make the meeting real legit as Palleon was a captain at the time he served with Thrawn, although he would later become an admiral. ;)

    Thrawn and Palleon are two of my favorite EU Imperial characters.

  8. They look good to me as long as they go up to about mid-calf. I have similar boots as well as I have big feet and calves. They will only get you to level 2 though if that's important due to the V cut at the top. I might've been the last one to take them to Imperator before the standard changed.

    Marcus,

    I cant wait to troop with you in these. I will be joining ISG with this. Have you thought of where you will get the material for the "modesty strip"?

    I don't think the modesty panel should have to be a spot on match to the rest of the costume as it should be mostly hidden and at most you would see a small slither of it through the collar. It should at least be close to the same color (I wouldn't go out and get a bright red one unless your doing na Isaard :P ) but shouldn't need to worry about exact shade and whatnot.

  10. The General rank has individual one inch metal squares that each rank button sits on, not the one or two long pieces of metal (see the pic Phil posted). You center a button in each square and there you have it. I don't think there's a specific distance so long as the buttons are centered on the square tiles. They are the same size buttons as on other ranks. If you center them on the one inch square tiles, the spacing will work itself out naturally and they will be spaced further apart than other ranks. My guesstimation would be about 1/2 inch, but it may not be exactly.

    Nothing here and they still with only a few weeks away from the end of this quarter can not give a shipping date

    Throw the Holidays in there, makes the odds look slim.

    But hey they can't be wrong four quarters in a row, can they? :P

  12. Short answer, yes. Might have been a mistake by the prop department but it made it onscreen, so there we are. ;)

    Long answer;

    If you're talking basic costume approval, the basic costume is the base line officer and you can wear any of the approved rank bars for line officers. You can take it to level 2 if you meet the other requirements. If you wish to go for level 3 and want to do a ROTJ style, then you have to use the rank as shown onscreen (as well as appropriate combo of belt boxes and code cylinders). Gloves are optional for all levels but ROTJ used slightly longer gloves. So if you want to go level 3 with an ESB style rank bar but only have ROTJ style gloves (and have appropriate belt boxes and code cylinder combination), then leave the glovers off and submit as an ESB line officer. ;)
