I have good news! I reached out to Glyn Dillon, costume designer for Rogue One, via Twitter to help us along with our research. He was a huge help in confirming a detail for the AT-ACT Driver for that CRL creation process, so I figured I would try again. Along with the tweets, I tried to confirm a few other things, first being the gloves. Looking at the screenshots with a little light adjustment, we can confirm that the Captain wears gauntlet style gloves in this image:

Also, thanks to this picture of a tunic-wearing Navy Trooper in the Rogue One Visual Guide, I think it's safe to say that the gauntlet gloves do not have the three stitching lines on the back:

Armed with this new info and the Tweets, I put together a combination of my Staff Officer and my Navy Trooper to get something as close as I could:

What I thought was interesting from the Tweets was that Glyn mentioned that this was "security officer...captain." If we were to add a CRL for it, perhaps we could make a third entry for the Navy Trooper in the IOC list - "IN - Imperial Navy Trooper: Security Officer" (or something of that sort) to reflect the distinction.
 
Definitely exciting to be able to move forward. What do you all think?

Armoured is Armoured no matter the rank the clue is also in the Cavalry part as most are seen in conjunction with AT-AT's

The Wampa Wear jumpsuit is the go-to choice for many, so you are in great hands there! The gloves look great - the lack of lines will even get you higher levels of approval for a Navy Trooper! The hat looks good, but it's difficult to make that call without seeing how it fits on your head. It's always about how uniforms fit you above all else, but, looking at that size guide, you should be in good hands.

Just about to put together a Naval Trooper uniform and i have found some sellers on etsy that sell these items, I have a jumpsuit from Wampa, just wondering if they are suitable. Any feedback most welcome.

I found these hats as well, anyone dealt with this seller? Have read reviews and it seems most people have given good reviews.

I imagine this is a simple addition to "Optional Accessories" for the Navy Trooper - rank bars and code cylinders. Then, when/if we apply for Level 2 and 3, the correct combinations will need to be met just as all our other officers.
 
In terms of straight vs. jodhpur, I would imagine jodhpur for this combination considering the rank and cylinders (Staff Officer with a helmet, basically). Unfortunately, only a behind-the-scenes photo will tell for this one.
 
 

Philo always was selling the correct "short" belt boxes, and now He's selling also the new Rogue One belt boxes (even more smaller).

He expecially made for me the "CRL version" of the belt boxes (the longest ones) but He never was selling those to anyone... and I want to **THANK SO MUCH** Philo for having made that favor to me.
So all the buyer who purchased Belt Boxes from Philo have received always the correct ones (the short boxes).

Philo is a huge credit to our Detachment.
 

I say change it now. None of the vendors here sell the big boxes (to my knowledge), so the only folks doing so are probably on Etsy/elsewhere working off the flawed CRL.
 
Changing the CRL will hopefully stop that. 

I got both my olive and black uniforms from that supplier as well - very happy with both of them!

I've seen a ton of evidence for the correct (smaller) belt boxes.  Is there ANY support for why the incorrect dimensions shouldn't be removed immediately, or at least put a note that they will only be accepted for a limited time, and indicate the actual / correct dimension?
 
I definitely understand the hesitation re in-progress costumes, but the longer we leave the wrong measurements up there, the more people are going to build towards that incorrect standard.  People building from scratch have a choice of what dimensions to use, and it seems like a shame to have someone put time and effort into building something we know is long, when it's the exact same amount of effort to build to the correct dimensions.  People buying from vendors like Philo already end up with the correct dimensions anyway.

My $.02; Change it sooner than later, for all levels.
The only time I've seen or heard of people having the larger boxes is when people have made them themselves.
Meaning they used the CRL dimensions, only to be told that the CRL is wrong.  That's not the member's fault, it's the CRL.
I know Philo makes them to the more accurate size. I'm not sure who else makes them for sale, but it's an easy fix from a production stand point.
And with any changes, a grace period would be the most fair thing to do for those who may get caught in between.
 

Normally I'd agree with the ease things in slowly approach. When the CRL was written the information was good with the knowledge we had to hand at the time, now we know different. I'd say it's more confusing to ease the change in, just do it. As a GML I'd say use a degree of common sense and be flexible with people who had started costumes before the changes were made.

I loved Piett's cameo in lost stars

Tarkin is like , the most popular Officer of all times , it's never much of a surprise to see him pop .

But damn yes , i would totally lose it if they'd throw in a Colonel Veers at some point . Come oooooon , everyone who's ever played a single Star Wars strategy game knows he's always been around , even before ANH . Same for a certain Captain Piett

I think I would lose my mind in excitement if we saw a younger Veers in Rebels - I already cheered when we saw Tarkin a few seasons ago! 

Definitely one of the best episodes so far
In the Legend Thrawn was an able fighter as well , and seeing an Officer fight is always a welcomed and refreshing view from the usual " hide behind Stormtroopers and be useless " Officer cliché .

I had hopes Kallus would permanently join the Ghost Crew , as him remaining on the Chimaera makes me fear for his life even more than before . He is entirely at Thrawn's mercy , the second the Rebel base is discovered he could be arrested and executed , although it's more like Thrawn to wait until he can lay a trap that would mean both the Rebels and Kallus' demise at the same time . Maybe they'll keep that for the season Finale or some later episode ( even season Four perhaps ? ) .

As for the possible appearance of movie characters , yes i definitely hope that will happen . Krennic in Rebels ? Yes please , where do i sign ?
They've already tied in with Rogue One a bit with Saw Gerrera on Geonosis , we've seen Death Troopers in the trailer accompanying Thrawn ...
Although i feel that they're not super keen on making movie characters appear unless it really serves their purpose .
I mean , i've had my hopes high a while back when a trailer had shown a battle involving AT-ATs , could've meant a brief Veers cameo before his promotion to General , buuut no .

It might take a little more time than I would like to get the new components tracked down as this is a crazy busy time of year for me, but I will certainly see to it. An upgraded pair of gloves has been ordered while I start experimenting with darkening the leather holster. Please stand by!
