Well done, Todd. Great work.

Our Garrison has been discussing the Photobucket dilemma for many months, formulating alternatives. I, personally, have used Imgur for quite a while now. But, who's to say that Imgur doesn't somehow begin to go a similar route someday. My suggestion to the Garrison is to acquire our own cloud, like an HP My Cloud NAS system, or similar. Granted, you have the cost of purchasing the unit, but after that it's all yours.
I have not investigated whether it serves as a viable option if you need to hotlink to pictures. However this, and many other forums, are providing an attachment system anyway, so hotlink images may not be absolutely necessary. The files are accessible via the cloud.

Congrats Mark!

Ah, thank you Ron.
Reading that, there is much debate on the subject...though it mostly revolves around whether or not to salute the public on a troop. Not sure if this translates to a pose for our pictures or not. I like the opinion of a snap to attention, with a slight head nod, as that is what we've seen in film. However, that act does not translate well to a photo, hehe. So, still up in the air whether it's alright to pose for, say, our trading cards in a salute...or like my profile image. Seems like it's up to the individual... -
You know what I've never seen, though, is a salute. Is it acceptable to pose with a salute? My profile pic for Bridge Crew is with a salute, and nothing was ever said...

Plus a 15% off code to boot...

I've used both TiggWolf and Philo myself, and stand by the decision.

I'm sure Mike's already done this long after his OP
Yep, exactly. And, I actually took it a step further, since I have a bit of a gut on me. I sewed velcro on my flightsuit where the belt sits, to hold it in place there as well. Then the belt doesn't shift down when holstering my arms, or just basic movement. It is always held perfectly at my waistline, where it is supposed to be.

The visor looks very close in size to the crown, but maybe it too is different once it's on a head...

I apologize that I have obviously offended you. My post was purely meant to inquire if a costume item could be improved upon, because we are all striving to improve our items if at all possible. I met KVB and spoke with her directly on this topic recently, the changes of her original pattern, and held what she's made herself...so I have gone direct to the source. But, I have made no mention of any names anywhere in my original post, because this is no attempt to flame anyone, nor is it an attack on anyone's efforts for making these items available to countless Legionnaires. I lauded the efforts of the makers several times in my post(s), and do once again. I know the difficulty in putting these together, and the time it takes, so I would never detract ANYONE about that whatsoever. I'm new to the 501st here, and I was merely questioning my observations, and looking for input by more knowledgeable and seasoned costumers here. So, again, I apologize for any offense I may have caused.
Mods, please feel free to archive/delete this post if it is deemed flammatory in any way. Thank you.

Unfortunatly with Cosplaysky there is usually some discrepancies. Some people have done very little, others get something they couldn't even use and had to return. The general consensus is give them as much info and measurements as possible. Don't be afraid to send them a couple emails. However, no matter what you will probably need to do something with the flaps on the jodhpurs. Usually noone gets by without a little reshaping or interfacing for stiffness. When you get the costume in I suggest taking a picture and posting it here. Then we can give you some advice on what can be improved.
As far as the Anovos goes: Noone has seen any completed costume yet. However, I have seen a prototype in person many times. The costume is missing a couple things but hopefully they will correct them in the final version, such as a full center seam, the hat, and a modesty panel. Besides that the costume looks great and the fabric is realy nice. You can even buy one in the original cotton garbadine.
So I would say if they fix a couple things then it is going to be a great costume and it will be nicer than Cosplaysky. Also Anovos jodhpurs will always be nicer, with their lacing and flaps.
Hope any of that helps!
Matt
Yes, it does. Thank you, Matt.

Just to chime in with a question(s) here, since the topic is relevant to the outfit we're building for my wife to join...
The Cosplaysky uniform that you guys linked, that will most likely still require home modification to get approved? Or might it arrive just fine? Also, we currently have an Anovos Olive uniform ordered for her. I know they haven't shipped yet, so we can't really say yet, but is it speculated as to whether the Anovos uniform would be better/worse than this Cosplaysky? Especially considering the almost $400 price difference? -
And to further clarify, the IOC is a detachment of the 501st. There are several detachments within the 501st, and your costume determines which detachment you would be affiliated with. You can be a member of several detachments, if you have the appropriate costume governed by that detachment. Also, the detachments govern the Costume Reference Library (CRL) for each costume, and they determine what the standards are. Your Garrison Membership Liason (GML) will approve your costume based upon those set standards.

Anovos just posted their FO TK armor on the website today, so perhaps now they can start focusing on fulfilling the rest of their orders.

Spanish cut riding boots are CRL acceptable. From this single image, I do not see anything that would prevent basic approval, if not higher.
