Are you talking about the Pre-Mor corporate security forces? Definitely not ISB... that's Corporate security. ISB just bossed them around, because... they like to boss everyone else around, and have the Imperial military behind them.
I have a vague recollection that the LMOs decided to assign those to the Underworld Detachment (over our objections), on the same basis that Underworld got the Canto Bight police officers. I'll see if I can get confirmation on that, and update the existing thread, if that's the case:
-
Easy enough to paint silver black (and it weathers nicely!), but matching that ribbed look is going to be key...
-
It's not meant to be a half-circle, just "not flat". The slight curve in the Wampa buckle is perfectly acceptable.
-
My wife has very long hair and usually just wears it in a ponytail. A bun, like the ones pictured in that styling guide, would be fine, too, of course, as would a braid or two.
Generally anything that would be acceptable in the military would be fine... we ask that it be neatly groomed, and not wild and crazy, but beyond that, it's up to the end user how far they want to go.

PartsofSW is usually a pretty definitive source for such research. Can you tell me what the actual text says? I can't make it out in that low res screencap, and I don't go on Facebook anymore these days.

Any advice to get it that color?
I just used Rustoleum spray paint on mine. Bright Coat Metallic Finish in Chrome is my go-to for nice metallic silver.

I think you're referring to the bolt, inside? Yes, it technically should be silver. A lot of people don't take the extra effort to make it silver, which is the color it normally is on most real guns, including the real world one the SE-14R is based on, the Rexim-Favor.
-
Blaster looks like it should be fine! Be careful with those thin fins on the front... resin can be fragile.
I got my holster from Darth Solar Leatherworks, but I have no idea if he's still selling them. He was on Facebook, and used to have a thread here as well. Thread might be under his GeoHazard username.
Very few people make the belt straps the correct length, though, I've noticed... the holster should snug up to the belt, not hang down below it. Pretty easy to shorten them, if you know anything about leather, but better if they could make them the right size in the first place. (I suspect most could, but for some reason don't unless specifically requested)
Note the original:
So it should be like this:
And yet, most are like the loop on the right (in this photo, I've shortened the loop on the left already):

I was thinking of this thread as a place where we can share ideas and eventual members can show off their own "swagger sticks" or share links/recommendations of good quality sellers and for anyone looking to get one to find out where he/she could get his/her own. And of course for the makers themselves to show off their work and potentially gather interested people.
As such I am unusre where it would be best to relocate it to and I will trust in your judgment of this matter here, Sir.

I'd like to add a disclaimer that this is not an official detachment merchandise offering. The Merch Officer will not be informed or responsible for questions, purchasing or shipping.
In fact I'd really appreciate it if this was moved to another section of the forum. This section is really meant for official merch runs.
That's a good point. This should be moved. @Sebastian do you have a preference for which subforum this should be moved to? I can think of a few that would work fine, but I'll let you make the call. (Else I'll move it whereever it seems to fit best, if I don't hear back)

Hi all!
ISB
A few observations from ISB uniforms in Andor, episode 7. Some of these things are easier to see from actively watching the show rather than in stills due to camera focus and the refresh rate of pixels on the screen. In any case:
-The material of the tunics is definitely an Ivory/Cream/Off-White cavalry twill.
-All of their boots have top straps that buckle on the outer side of each boot, identical to Director Krennic. I know Crow Props make similar boots and I imagine any cobbler worth his salt can add them. See pictures here: https://postimg.cc/gallery/pPf4YKn
-They all have belt hooks, similar to Wehrmacht tunics: https://postimg.cc/34txj5kc
I'd say the tunics seem to be a mix of white and a warmer white. More pure white than warm, but there are some of each. Hard to say 100% because the show is HEAVILY color graded. But Dedra Meero's tunic is more true white than warm or cream.
As with all of the non-saga shows, I think we're going to see a mix of various boot types, depending on what the production has on hand, instead of all one kind.
Only some tunics have belt hooks, not all. I'd list it as an optional addition. (I sure want it on mine, though!)

I think that's too thick/wide, side to side. Somewhere between 1/2-3/4 that size.
What material is that? It's not perfect... doesn't have the visible rounding at the edges, but I'd say it's definitely "close enough" for my thoughts.
I have some brushed aluminum vinyl for my cutter that might be a good option for this, looking at that. That would certainly be easy! -

- Two Code Cylinders can be worn on the opposite side of the rank badge.
- Can wear four belt boxes
- belt boxes can be rounded on the corners
- belt boxes and buckle can have bead blasted flat finish
-
Military Officer
- Green trench coat is a different from the Rogue One version ( same as the white ISB one)
- belt boxes can be rounded on the corners
- belt boxes and buckle can have bead blasted flat finish
- Gorn has OT/Mando sized push buttons on their rank badges. This is the first time we've seen both size push buttons in the same series.
Just to clarify one point, the belt boxes do not have rounded corners, instead, they're stepped.

You think the logo can be painted over?I mean, ANYTHING can be painted over. But no, the black coating is a relatively thick, textured layer, and the coffee is an unpainted area lower than the black, sort of inset, effectively. Not that you can't paint it, but unless it's THICK paint, perfectly applied to fill in the letters, the outline of the text will still be there, pretty clearly. You could probably strip ALL of the paint off and then repaint the whole thing, but...
I just spent about 10 minutes trying to get a good photo that shows off what I'm talking about... this is the best I could do:
The silver metal strip is actually quite a good way to cover it up! I'll have to whip something up and apply it to mine. -

@ImpOfficer do you have any good shots of the comlink? Source of info?
I posted a few crops from 4K screenshots in the Gallery. I'm sure you saw them from before, but I'll copy them here, too.

Is it just me or did the enlisted dudes get the short end of the stick with their hats, too? Look like Grandma's Halloween sewing project for little Billy, compared to the sleek one that Lt. Gorn is wearing LOL

I know many people with the 20Eyes hats, you should be fine as long as she promises to get it to you in time.
The screw goes into the front flap (only), so you still have hat material between the screw and your head. You won't feel a thing.
Different hat maker but this gives you the idea:

I believe his uniform is a standard olive Military officer, not the grey one seen on Coruscant for the first time.
The whole scene is so incredibly color graded it's hard to be 100% certain about any colors, though.

I have good news and bad news for you.
The Staff Officer costume from A New Hope is quite a specialized costume, and a very unique tunic that is only made commercially by one (very expensive) vendor, at this time. The black officer uniforms from Cossky are a different pattern to the one worn by Praji. Praji wore the "451 style" tunic, which is covered under this CRL: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:ID_anh_staff_officer
The standard style tunic that you purchased is much more readily available... but it's a different tunic entirely. It would work under this CRL instead: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Temp-Imperial-Staff-Officer_(Non_Saga)
For Halloween purposes, of course, you can call yourself whatever you want, and of course you're free to wear Praji's rank bar with the costume. For approval, though, you'll want to be sure you're getting the right stuff.
Buying custom sewn hats this close to Halloween is always a bit of a gamble, if they don't have what you need in stock. Many vendors have backlogs of orders to get through, again, especially under a month from Halloween. Personally, I'd consider just buying the Cossky hat, if that's still an option, or anywhere you can find one in stock, really, and just use it for Halloween, and then replace it with a proper one when you have more time and aren't in a rush.
All that said, installing the code disk into a hat is REALLY easy, and you'd have to work pretty hard to actually screw up a hat while doing it. Just shove a nail through to make a hole where you want it (centered), and then poke the screw through from the inside, for the code disk, and screw it in. If you can work a screwdriver you have all the skills you need.

I've added a bunch of 4K screenshots to the Gallery. For the time being I've listed the album as "ISB Officers (White and Grey)" because the grey officer IS on Lt Dedra's assistant on staff in her office, so it's possible it's just ISB in another color. We don't really know for sure if he's just ISB in another color, or actually in a different branch that's somehow connected to ISB, but hopefully time will tell. I'll adjust the album names at that time, if needed.

The references look great. It would be a very great a accessory for me, because I have got problems with my right leg. Good idea.
A "swagger stick" is not actually a cane... it's a short baton used for pointing, emphasizing (maybe conducting an orchestra? LOL) and being generally snooty. LOL They're generally anywhere from 18"-36" long.
No reason you couldn't scale one up to cane size, though!
I have one of the Kohlbauer swagger sticks, and love it. (WoodChuck's work is a piece of art, of course, as always) Mine is about 26" long, which is as long as I would think anyone would want for an actual swagger stick (and I'm 6'3").
I don't believe he's making them anymore, sadly.
-
I'm not against updating the photos, of course. That's a lot more work, however, and slower than simply unlocking the wiki for a one word edit. (Change the "six" to a "seven")
Any reason why that can't get knocked out, say, tomorrow, rather than waiting on photos to be taken, sent, photoshopped, etc?

Dang. Could have saved a buck, compared to the other place. And probably had it in hand already LOL
Ah well, no worries over a dollar, could have been worse!

Word is that the LMOs assigned this costume to the Underworld Detachment (over our objections). Maybe they won't do it and we can get it back? Otherwise, the decision was out of our hands.
