Was this text ever finalized and submitted?
If so, a few small changes are needed, I think.

Thanks. I don't have a Facebook account, so had to send him a contact request. We'll see how it goes...
And...man, I can't wait to see DragonCon again. Haven't been there in almost a decade, way too long.
Assassin Graphics is the same company that does the name badge runs on the main 501st forums. I suspect you can find email contact info there. (and a link to their web page)

That is a great build. Am looking into the Denix as well nowdays and might just go with that route. Thanks for the tip!
Denix is a great base and produces a wonderful looking blaster.
Just be warned about the weight. Those suckers are HEAVY and really pull down the belt. Even with added industrial velcro, the weight got to be annoying enough that I switched to the plastic one, even though it's not as pretty. If I was doing a photoshoot, I'd likely bring out the Denix-based one. But for routine troops (and especially all day at a Con), lightweight wins every time. And realistically, outside of a photo or two, my MSP5 stays holstered the vast majority of the time anyway. We are not Stormtroopers, walking around the with blasters in our hands at all times.
On my to-do list is to try to replace the plastic handles with wood ones, on my plastic MSP5. Holstered, you really can't tell the difference between the two, except for those handles.

Yup, our channel is fairly new and we are still working on content for it.
Sooooon...
While officer costumes are pretty straightforward, it's not difficult to see how often basic questions are asked that could be cleared up very easily with a basic how-to video, going over the details and pointing out the gotchas that people might not catch if they're not already super familiar with the costume.
It'll be SUPER handy for going over some lesser-known difference in costumes, like showing the dramatically difference construction of the ANH Staff officer tunics vs the regular tunics, things like that.
Lots of platforms CAN do videos, but obviously YouTube is the king of video content. The more platforms we can use the spread the message, the better we can reach people.

Those are good news, thank you very much for the info. My GML, seems to have a different opinion or info. Last week I took my olive Imperial Officer costume from Denuo Novo ti the taylor to have some fit adjustments, I have slim body, I used to swim a lot, so I have a weird shape. Anyway, thank you all for the kind response and attention. Have a nice weekend.
Right, we can't say that a DN uniform is guaranteed to be approved, because it has to *fit* the costumer correctly. Off the rack sizing may or may not fit well. You can often tailor it, however, so as long as that is done correctly, there should be no issues with the costume based on meeting the 501st's requirements (and definitely no problem with the color). Feel free to quote us on that, and have your GML ask us for feedback in the GML forums on the 501st site.
(That said, if the costume doesn't fit YOU correctly, the fact that it has accurate construction and color may not matter)

It looks fine based on the two views presented, but I can't say for sure without seeing the back and inside.

We just need to confirm a pantone number to fix that confusion, the difficulty lies in the source of that confirmation, who? How to find him or her?, How to know that the information is accurate?, that is really the issue
We don't cite Pantone numbers in CRLs. Too much opportunity for abuse by GMLs.
The costume designers have not been willing to give that information, thus far, per back channel efforts. -
A quick Google turned up this video, if it helps:
It's not official but you could adapt it, I suspect.

You mean the standard imperial cog?
If so, I'm not aware of anything with a technical breakdown of how to draw. The one above is from Wookipedia, and looks pretty accurate to my eye, if that helps.

Who has the best files for printing one, do you know?
"Best" is subjective, but I've used a combo of models from gucabe and seankfields in the past, and been happy with the results. I don't usually print the main blaster, however... that's a huge PITA and always somehow lacking, IMO. I like hacking up cheap plastic airsoft mausers. They're plentiful, inexpensive, and have moulded plastic far superior to what you get with 3D printing, and save a ton of work. Then just 3D print the add-on bits. (much like the original prop guys added on various bits to existing pistols)
This thread of mine is old, but might have some useful ideas for you (it covers using both the Denix and the plastic mausers):

What exactly is a Tour of Duty? Also, could some please explain how exactly to apply for full IOC access?
You can request 501st or IOC status here:
http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/1670-501st-ioc-member-status-requests/
You need 501st membership and and approved IOC costume, respectively. Then you'll gain access to the Tour of Duty area linked above.

I'd need to look at some references to refresh my mind, but I seem to recall it was basically a regular Merr-Sonn with different wires and the cooling fins are silver for some reason. Starting with a regular Merr-Sonn Power 5 should be a safe place to start. Then check for photos and go from there.

yeah ofc we dont. But we have photoevidence how the tone should look. Going by a text and saying "he wears a red cape" won't help anyone as there are 23226 million redtones
But we DON'T have photo evidence of how the tone should look, that's the problem. Or unique seams. Or... anything.

Turns out we have a sticky thread for that.

The "white with a hint of gray" language was added to the CRL specifically to cover people who want to hit the Andor version. There are no other differences, so it doesn't warrant a separate CRL.

The Anovos / Denuo Novo color is the most perfect fabric color you will find for this costume, with the sole exception of the special run the German folks are running right now (color-matched to Tarkin's screen used pants), which takes the #1 spot. And DN is *really* close to that.
Most other vendors can only dream of nailing the color that closely. (WampaWear probably comes closest, to round out the top three)

Not to disregard this, but just by going by descriptions the purpose of the CRL would be meh. As long as there is no 100% evidence how everything excatly looks it is tbh to much interpretation. what kind of red exactly? etc etc. It would have to be very accuratley written down in "this is RAL 43288238 whatever Red and is 5 inches long or so" tbh
To be fair you'll note we almost never cite precise RAL or Pantone colors. Too much fodder for over-zealous GMLs.
That being said, there's usually considerably more officially-sourced reference photos or art. Are there... any? Even one? I don't think a CRL has ever been made exclusively from text descriptions.

He's clearly an alien (ears, yo), so I wonder if it's actually intended to be a natural skin marking of some sort?
