ImageShack WAS an amazingly good free image host that lots of people used.Is it just me or are the pics not working?
Then they changed to a pay model. If you didn't pony up, your images were deleted. TONS of dead links all around the internet as a result. Really horrible.
Unless the OP moves the photos (if he still has them!) to another host and edits the links, this thread is pretty useless, unfortunately.

I had clicked on his DH-17, so I think he had a thing on there about customs and shipping in regards to gun-shaped objects....
That makes more sense. The completion kit is just some random bits of plastic that look nothing like a weapon, so should be totally fine to ship anywhere.
-
Odd, the Etsy listing says it ships worldwide. Shipping to SoCal is priced at about $20.Looks nice, he says he's only shipping to the UK at the moment but could make arrangements based on the country. I'd message him, though the shipping may be prohibitive.
-
Wow, that's a much better price than the guy on Shapeways has them for. I wonder how long they take to ship from the UK, though?
The Shapeways prints look like they might be better quality, but without comparing them in hand, it's hard to tell from pictures.
I wish I could find the models, I'd just print them myself.
If you order from the Etsy guy, I'd ask if they can print them with black PLA instead of white. It'll look better if/when there is damage.

People have managed to make them fit, but it definitely requires a lot more work and some creativity and ingenuity. There are a couple of build threads on FISD documenting the processes, problems, and solutions.Unfortunately they do not. The doopy doo kit was created for the Hasbro blaster. I have both and tired but the kit doesn't fit. I plan on modifying the Hasbro blaster and installing the Disney blaster electronics.
The main issue is, as you said, the Disney blaster is smaller: About 90% of full size (the Doopy is made for full size)

No. My lovely wife went and lost a lot of weight, and I have to start over. That kind of put me at a stand still. As soon as I get more fabric and get back to this point, I'll pick this back up.
So good news / bad news situation.
I look forward to the next installment, then!

Question about rank bars, as I pull my costume together:
My impression was that Commander (4 red, 2 amber) is the highest ranking you would see for the black uniform. So I was leaning toward emulating Commander Nahdonnis Praji's setup (as detailed here: http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/4698-officer-uniform-configuration/).
But then I happened to click over to the 501st CRL, and noticed the pictured officer has an entirely different rank badge: 4 blue, two red!
http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:ID_imperial_officer_black
I happen to like the blue/red color combination for this uniform, but what does this mean? Is there a reason that color combination is not listed in this thread? What rank would it be? (it's sort of backwards Admiral, per the chart in this thread's OP, but on the black uniform)
Edit: I just read more of this thread, and I THINK the takeaway is that CRL photo is essentially incorrect? That color combo can be approved, but only for level 1, not higher levels, right?

Was this ever finished?

Looks like the 501st Will have to review all costumes in the film and edit all new CRLs.
New movie, new costumes. Unless they're identical, it always means a new CRL.

Does anyone have a link to a good measurement guide?
I've read this whole thread, plus the one in the Officers-Line & Staff forum:
Cosplaysky info
http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3329-cosplaysky-info/
I know I need to supply this info:
Gender Male/Female
Height m
Weight kg
Chest cm
Waist cm
Private Message attached with the order(Other Measurements and specific requirements)
Neck: cm
Shoulder Width: cm
Hip: cm
Shoulder to Waist: cm
Arm Circumference: cm
Waist to knee: cm
Outseam: cm
Inseam: cm
Thigh circumference: cm
Calf circumference: cm
Arm Length: cm
Cuff Circumference: cm
What I DON'T know is the specifics on how/where to measure these. The recommended measurement chart (http://schipperfabrik.com/schipperfabrik_male_size_chart_en.pdf) is no longer there.
Does anyone have that chart saved somewhere, or a link to another good measuring guide that will help me get the right measurements? Some are self-explanatory, but many are open to interpretation, and I don't want to give them the wrong info.
These are the ones I could use some help with determining the right start and end points for the tape:
Chest cm (I think right across the nipples... full circumference, or mid-point to mid-point?)Waist cm (natural waist just above the hip bones, or across the belly button for those of us with a fair gut? full circumference, right?)
Shoulder Width: cm (across the back, across the front, or all the way around? Start/stop points if the first two)
Hip: cm (basically the biggest point around your butt, or thighs if wider?)
Shoulder to Waist: cm (where exactly on the shoulder, where the usual seam lays? where on waist?)
Waist to knee: cm (where on waist? to mid-point of knee or just to the start?)
Outseam: cm (where on waist? then to the floor?)
Arm Length: cm (start at shoulder seam, end ~1/2 way to the back of the hand, or end right at the hand?)
Cuff Circumference: cm (I think I read NOT your wrist circ, so where, around hand just below 1st thumb joint?)Thanks for any help!

Boots on Etsy

Those look like great boots; I wish they were in my size!
Should be perfect for staff officer, as long as they fit you correctly.
EDIT: Oh, missed that stiched logo. Hard to see in the main pic, but it's definitely there. That might be an issue, I'm not sure. The overall style is correct, though.
