Also, looks like a variant of the westar 34 aka Jangos pistol

The Imperial gunners from season 2 in the interdictor have the same blaster. That might help.

I feel like our determination for rank bars should be a lot less specific, then. Something along the lines of "Only these colors, only in this pattern, and you can only have this many squares" but otherwise leave the combination up to the costumer?
In this case I disagree. I prefer doing it off known rank bars/code cylinders

And a third option. No Cape, No Hat, 6 red rank bard. (Flashback/Dream scene)

I think the blaster will be a brand new design - so will need to either wait till he draws it on the Show or till the Hasbro figure comes out.
Sent from my iPad using TapatalkHe has drawn and fired the blaster. When interrogating Hera.
Same blaster the Navy techs use on the interdictor.

I think it would be fine for them to have the ground crew. Mainly because they are not officers, yes I know we have bridge and scanning crew, it seems like a new detachment for crews might soon be in order. But that is just my thought on this.

We know from catalyst that rank bars did have code. Because Krennic has his scanned to get into a secured area. Only someone of his rank or higher could.

I have been trying to come up with a logical in universe reason as to the difference in rank between Rebels, Rogue One, A New Hope, etc.
I would love to hear your thoughts, be nice if Pablo Hidalgo could help explain.
Anyway. Let's start with Rebels. So the first reason why this I feel differs from, say A New Hope is that the Empire is in a transition faze, it is not quite ANH but it has clearly thrown off the Republic, like a butterfly cocooned and forming inside. The second part is that the Empire is not actually at war yet. Yes, they are putting down Rebellions etc (or trying to), but at this stage there is no Rebel alliance, just individual cells, factions, tribes, call them what you will. In this we have seen Admirals in Black with odd ranks bars. This brings me to part two
The different parts of the military machine. Just like the air force, navy, army, here have ranks with the same name, there symbol (sorry, not a military man) look different. I feel this could help explain why we have Admirals with different looking ranks etc. The Admiral in Rebels with the four yellow/amber tiles and two red (I think his name is Titus). He was in charge of the interdictor programme, therefore he may not be Navy, or he may be part of the Special Weapons Group and therefore the ranking is different. Same with the Army and Navy. I believe this is why we have odd looking rank bars in Rogue One. I think these are Army officers, not Naval.
Finally. In Empire, we see a more Uniform appearance of Rank. I believe that this would be due to the fact that the Empure is now officially at war with the Rebel Alliance, and with it being (six?) Years after A New Hope. The Empire has got everything running smoothly (or close to it) is now fully out of its transition periods (yes plural) and it shows.
Anyway. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Your theories etc.

So Krennic, Galen and one other officer have extended collars. Three clasps instead of the normal two you get with cosplaysky uniforms.
Is there anyone who can talk to Cosplaysky and discuss their Krennic uniform, bringing it more in line with their other uniforms?

Having now seen the film. I will wait to add stuff until it has been released in the states.

You should be good with that. It is basically the same tunic (I believe)

Do you mean Driza-Bone ? I don't see anything in their current catalog that looks right.
Yeah, them. Or something similar.

Well, technically, even Thrawn was a humanoid.
A non humanoid officer would be something like a hutt or other aliens who don't have two hands, one head, two legs, etc. But of course, I'm not sure that's what the OP refers toHowever there is one known non humanoid in the science group. Multi tentacled (like the bounty hunter in The Clone Wars cartoon).

After looking at that Director Krennic 'costume' from CPS a little more closely, I think this may be more of a Halloween costume quality vs. 501st Uniform quality. I don't believe the material is gabardine and that rank bar patch is pretty sad. I'm going to follow Dimentex' advice and order a deluxe staff officer tunic in white using custom measurements. I ordered my current officer uniform from them this way and I'm very pleased with it, it has served me well. Now I need a good source for the cloak!
That is what I meant. The deluxe is on sale (or was last time I checked)
-
Yes there were. In canon as well.
Read lost stars. One of the characters there points out the cadets being human and alien.
-
Order now while it is on sale as well.
I am going to do the same, want a Grand Admiral so I will use my current tunic for that, new tunic for krennic I think.
-
His code cylinders are different to the normal brass ones. (Perks of being the Director of the Special Weapons Project I guess).
-
Just glove hunting at work shh
Would any of those work?
-
Lost stars is a must read as far as I am concerned. So is Catalyst. Going to read Tarkin after Life Debt.

Oh, but it is easy (Says the guy used to wearing mando armour for a full day.)
As for the bunching, not much you can do I am afraid, try pulling it down as you sit to try and stop it riding up, as for the pants. Still not used to that (See mando and flightsuit ease).

As I said. They are a dry-as-a-bone jackets.
-
I would remove or add no saluting. The closest we get is Veers clicking his heels together when addressing Vader, same with Piett. Now, though it is True Vader was not military, but royalty, he was still the commanding officer.
So far the only canon sorce of saluting comes from the first order.

classic officers. Stormtroopers fighting and they are standing/sitting around having drinks.

For our costumes I agree. I was more focused on the in universe canon explanation, cause I love those little bits of lore.
