It's funny because I dropped by they to buy a boot tree and she told me that another gentleman came by asking for the same things... We had a laugh and honestly they are amazing there. They gave me tons of info and names of other places to call to try to find what I was looking for. Once we get our costumes done we should drop by there to say hi.

It looks like they would be for a Bridge Crew, Mechanical Crew and Scanning crew member... As well for Imperial Navy Trooper and Warrant Office.

So.. for my 100th post within the forum, I thought that I would share a tip that I received from a Cobbler to stretch my boots and fix a part of the leather that was curling inwards.
He told me to soak the leather with Rubbing Alcohol and then use something like newspaper or in my case my feet to stretch the boots out. I ended up soaking the inside of the boot with the rubbing alcohol in the areas that need to be stretched and then walked around the house for a few hours. I was amazed how fast it worked and comfortable the boots are now.
I did have to shine/buff the boots again, but I consider that fun.

"I gotta go" zipper
That right there is one of the most important selling points for WW.

That was my post on the Badlands Garrison Forum.
I have looked everywhere in Edmonton and even called places in Calgary. Honestly I found a pair on Kijiji... which I needed to stretch out a little. Not sure of what size your feet are but Tudor Tack on 51ave in Edmonton sells used boots & had a few... just not my size.
Todd's Costumes will cost you $42USD in shipping to Edm.

I emailed them about a large flight suit last month and they said that they should have their stock early November... hopefully that help.

Welcome Robert!!

Interesting. It also looks like he's wearing a rain jack over his tunic. Man I can't wait till December!

Sorry, sleep deprivation...lol. I ended up polishing the boots and they look great. They fit around my calves good, but they seem to have slack around my ankles.
I was wondering if I should have them taken around the ankle to give them a better shape?
-
Well is a sad day, they didn't fit. I Apparently I have a high arch and I could not get my foot into the boot pass the bend... They were so nice and even showed me how to point my feet like a Ballerina, with no success. They did have another pair of well loved riding books.... they fit but they seem to need some TLC. I got them for 1/4 of the price as the other ones so it was hard to pass.
Should I have then taken in around my calves? Is there something I can do to make them stiffer?
Hopefully these work until I can save up for custom fitting boots.

Great video for a newbie like me. It cleared up some questions I had.

Awesome. I'll hit up Home Depot tomorrow if I can.

I am truly sorry for your loss Mark. As a parent I can only imagine how you must feel. From the look of your photo it is truly inspiring how many of your fellow troopers are marching beside you. I hope one day to have the honour to march with you all.
Thank you for sharing with us all. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I'll shop around for some industrial Velcro this week... hahaha one more thing to add to the list! I feel like this is one of those hobbies that has endless lists. Thanks for the advice!

Velcro is such a great idea. Did you have to use a special glue or does the self-sticking Velcro hold up on it's own?

Awesome tutorial Hawk. I can't wait to see the end results.

Wampa Wear it is then. Thanks Kalani.

Thanks Meg. I guess it's better to have extra fabric just in case. I'll probably buy 6yards then.
Cheer!
-
$4.99/yard thats not bad. Does anyone know how much fabric you would need to make a full officers dress uniform?
-
Awesome tutorial Ben. I will be adding it to my "have to make list."
Thoughts on these boots?
