Greetings from Paris and the French Garrison, where I transferred to after a number of years spent in my hometown and Home Garrison, Tyranus, Virginia.
I thought I'd post any Paris/Star Wars related photos here, just to get them out there and share a bit of that SW Spirit...and a shout out to my new French Garrison Buddies!
Hope you are all keeping well,

jsilvius reacted to kman in Scanner crew commpad
The standard TIE / Bridge Crew compad is curved differently from the Scanning Crew one, in addition to the painting difference.
I'm not aware of any sources for an STL other than that Shapeways one.
There are a couple of vendors that sell the the compads (not many, compared to the others) but not the STL itself.

You may want to look at those compads more closely, there are differences.

The soles are very thick in comparison to original German Knobelbecher boots. But that is the only thing that isn't 100% correct with these boots.
This isn't reason enough alone to fail these boots for Executor standard. So I would pass these at this level.
They would not meet the higher Imperator level though.

I'm one of the Deployment officers in this detachment, but Bridge Crew is not my speciality. I've contacted Trist who typically handles our Crewmen L2 applications. Hopefully he'll answer quickly

Thanks Aaron. Those look perfect. I wish they were still available.
I'll keep looking...

FISD have a whole subforum dedicated to 3d printing. There're some nice STLs for E11s listed there.

I find my 3D printed blasters are nice and light. There's some great STL files out there if you have your own printer.

If available, I recommend the rubber/hyperfirm/etc. ones- drop proof for all us clumsy troopers out there! You can also go resin kit or Hasbro/plastic, 3D printed, as mentioned above. There's also air soft guns with extra greeblies added (mainly 3D printed ones or hand-made). There are more restrictions for L2/L3, so check the CRL for those, but for basic trooping- as long as it looks right, it flies.

It doesn't matter what it's made of. If it looks like how it's supposed to, then it's fine. Many get the blaster 3D printed.

Yes... I'm glad that I got them when I did. I was also hoping to find non-leather boots that would fit the bill... but had no luck there.
I wish I could remember the search terms I was using when I found these... I tried to look back at my history but it is all lost to time. I had a few possible ones that I found. Remember to try Engineer's Boot... Motorcycle boot will give you way too much irrelevant results... The last boots I bought are very similar to the ones above and I got them off the shelf at my local Work Wear World.
Good Luck

Pilot Bay on Etsy and Facebook can do a custom fit flightsuit that is also quite solid.
If you're not concerned about getting a higher approval level or if you don't mind having the strap added after the fact, I would recommend Soviet Boots for the jackboots - http://www.sovietboots.com/home/244-501st-legion-pilot-officer-jedi-robe-star-wars-boots-vader-s-fist.html

1000% agree on that it has to fit. Easiest approach is measure all of the dimensions on your body that the flightsuit size table has. Add ~2cm to any measurement you take. Order the flightsuit that meets ALL measurements. It’s easier to tailor it down than find material to make it larger.
Thanks!

Agreed with the above. WampaWeat flightsuits are solid, assuming you fit them. (it ALWAYS comes down to fit)
CrowProps' boots are reasonably priced (for custom boots). They're a solid option for people who otherwise have issues fitting off-the-shelf boots.

Welcome! Wampaware is very good and you will hopefully be satisfied with the products. Boots are indeed more of a challenge, but with a lot of scouting very doable. Crowprops would be a good lead for boots, and so would Imperial Boots. Good luck!
