Didn't Tarkin say the regional governors would have control? Perhaps governors are Moff level, and Tarkin himself was a governor of governors, or Grand Moff...?

CosplaySky has a number of web domains that all sell the same thing. (in fact the title of that very page you linked says CosplaySky at the end LOL)
I would usually recommend just ordering from the main company's website, on general principle:
https://cosplaysky.com/star-wars-imperial-officer-uniform-costume-deluxe-version-new.html
(You'll note the price, name, and photos are all the same anyway)
CosplaySky CAN be a very good vendor, for an unbelievable price. Or they can be a bit of a nightmare. I joke that every 3rd day at the factory is "Drink a bottle of rum day" so depending on which day you order, you either get an excellent suit with perfect measurements, or something that looks like someone grabbed cuttings from the Small, Large, and XXL table, just to see if they could stitch them all together.
If you're very lucky, you get a great costume that fits like a glove, and you're off on a great start. Else perhaps it just needs some relatively minor alterations from your local tailor shop to improve the fit here and there, and then you're in good shape. My Staff officer is from CosplaySky and I was in that second category. Note even on their best day, their costumes are not in the same class as a good custom made job from a real tailor using high end wool gabardine, etc. But they're not bad at all, as long as they fit you well, and only minor tweaks are needed to give you as costume you can take all the way to Imperator, if you wish. (I did with mine, as have others)
OTOH, if you draw the short straw, you get a neckline you pull over a 4-year old child, arms designed for a 10 year old child, and a waistline and pant legs made for a 300lb man. Then you get to try to return it. (Pay close attention to their return policy... if you buy the off-the-rack sizes and it doesn't fit you right, you're stuck with it, no matter how off it seems)
You can roll the dice with off the rack sizes if you want (it's your money), or pay a bit extra for custom sizing. There's still a chance they'll get it wrong, but at least you can exchange it for a second try (and another month wait for a new shipment) if they get it so wrong it can't be fixed locally.
I *highly* recommend the custom sized route via their "501st custom" option. And read over this thread.... even their custom size option only asks for a few measurements... far too few to be able to correctly size what is basically a fitted suit. You should provide all the extra measurements discussed in this thread to give yourself the highest chance of getting them what they need to make a suit that actually fits you as it should:
(The full list of extra measurements are buried in this thread a bit, but it's worth reading through at least a dozen pages or so)
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Gomcse reacted to kman in New Look for the SoCal Garrison Trading Cards
These are Garrison-specfic cards for SoCal Garrison. You can check your local ISG forums... it wouldn't surprise me if you folks have your own cards, as well.
Once you have full member access you should be able to get IOC cards made, as well, once you have access to our Merch forums.

On page 123 of Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide you can see that Ensign Yort Cavwol (top left corner), Lieutenant Danbit Brun (top right corner) and 2nd Lieutenant Frobb (above the MSE-6 Droid) all wear black flight suits. Crewman Todes Halvax (top center) wears a grey flight suit.
The text on page 122 states: "Similarly, service technicians are low down the imperial hierarchy and are routinely ignored by those in command. Grey-uniformed technicians deal with the most menial of duties, while those in black overalls are higher in station. Navy troopers, gunners and ground crew are military roles that may not see combat, but play a vital role in day-to-day operations. The Death Star project has great need of such personnel. The Service and Technical Sectors of the battle station's personnel number in the hundreds of thousands."

FWIW, TargWorx (made by Targ, former head of the JRS) compads are sized perfectly to fit in WampaWear compad pockets as well. Again, though, that might be a case of reverse engineering to an incorrect spec, too. They're definitely too large to fit the Anovos and CosplaySky (and likely your Amazon Vendor's) compad pockets.
There are vendors who sell slightly smaller compads which work perfectly in these smaller pockets, however. I believe those are definitely a case of purposely sizing them down for the smaller pockets, however. I'm not clear which is actually the most accurate until I have a chance to dig into the issue.

I'll see about flagging the issue for investigation. Not clear if the compad pockets are too small/large, or the compads themselves are too small/large. I know the Anovos compad pockets are noticeably smaller than WampaWear's pockets, and they're usually pretty accurate about such things, so it could be Wampa is the one that's too large.

I appreciate that! You are correct, I'm only seeking L1 for the Reserve Pilot, but the Imperial Bridge Crew allows a non pointed collar through L2, unless the CRL is incorrect. This is the suit my GML owns.
I'm positive the cog patches on the jumpsuit are wrong, and already bought a pair my GML says are correct.
I'll check the comm pad window against my WampaWear prop when I have both in hand. Thanks for the heads up on that.
Exciting times!

It doesn't look like the flightsuit/coveralls on your Amazon link has the correct pointed collar in the back. That should be okay for L1 approval. The shoulder cogs do not look like they are correct either, but it is hard to tell from a picture. You may also want to widen the comm pad window too, it looks very small. Good luck and there are may of us here that can help you through the process.

I'm putting together my TIE reserve and Imperial Bridge Crew outfits for those days I can't be Darth Vader. Also, the TIE Reserve and Imperial Bridge Crew have always been favorites of mine...simple but cool.
I should be ready to submit for approval when my jumpsuit arrives, probably October 10th.
Jumpsuit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011I304AI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iSfKDbF33Q4HG ETA October 10th
Cap: TiggWolf, ordered, ETA October 5th
Belt and buckle: TiggWolf, ordered, ETA October 5th
Boots: AdTec, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00OUHOT9C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_b0fKDb6TXYCQ0, IN HAND and mods completed
Gloves: Leather gauntlet, IN HAND
Comm Pad: WampaWear, IN HAND
Patches: I have approvable replacement patches if the set included with the jumpsuit are no good. IN HAND.
I'm in contact with my GML and hope for an easy, quick approval by mid October, and should be able to use these pieces for all OT versions depending on configuration.

I read somewhere recently that the Black flight suited Bridge Crew are officers of some sort, and that the Grey suits are enlisted.
Maybe that's how Glynn Dillon explained it? If I find the reference, I'll try to share it.

This may be over a lot of people's heads, but I think, given military experience, rank is rank, then cylinders are comparable to skill level/function badge/rate/then calculating LFL F-ups. Piett quickly gained all three of Ozzell's cylinders because he was taking OZELL's exact place precisely. He might have needed them for whatever responsibilities Ozzel kept. He promptly went back to his original Capt display in ROTJ (commonly accepted as a F-up of LFL, given he was still Admiral in the script). Also, Veers didn't need his single code cylinder wearing his battle armor, yet clearly wore ONE, in his garrison/on-board uniform. Cheers.

John Mollo tried to bring order to the rank system in the Empire Strikes Back. There was a method to his madness with A New Hope, but it wasn't applied evenly due to costume troubles. Some people had to put on the costume that fit them instead of the one that was intended for them. That is why Motti wears a green uniform, when he was intended for another uniform. Empire would be different. There we would get a revamped rank system different from A New Hope that would make sense.
Called by name we KNOW what some ranks are from Empire: Admiral, General, Captain, Lieutenant. And that is all we have.
Living in the real world we know that there are other ranks to be found and we try to fill them in... but they are not canon because they are only ever will be conjecture.
Mollo was and IS the most definitive authority on European military fashions of the past 500 years. He was taken off of Star Wars and didn't participate in Return of the Jedi. In that movie people either didn't wear ranks (for the black uniformed officers) or they wore the rank of a captain (for the green uniforms). Jejerrod and Piett are the only two officers that have names. Jejerrod is called "commander", though novels and other sources list him as a moff. The reason why there is no differentiation in rank is that no one cared... sadly. The man who cared was not on the project.
5 years after Jedi, West End Games tried to make sense of the Imperial Ranks from Empire with the Imperial Source Book. The included conjecture ranks like "Colonel" and "Commander" and "Major". But none of that is canon.
