Well the original props weren't perfect, the original dosimeters for code cylinders you can buy are of course often scrached and not in the best shape, just like in the movies. The same goes for the rank bar. So scratches could be considered movie accurate to some degree, that won't keep you from beeing approved.
But I understand, that you want your stuff to be perfect, as in the new shows and movies.

So it's up to you what you find acceptable and what not.

    Hello.
I Plan on making a clone trooper naval officer. If succesfull this will be a new CRL so I should probably also start a thread in that subforum?

    Anyway here are some references:

I have already found a tailor who will do this project with me. We plan to base it off the republic officer CRL and Clone Medic CRL with a few changes such as color.

The fabric is probably a light to mid grey gabardine. What do you think about that and what are good places to order fabric from?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello guys,

I made a first try on the trench coat that can be seen on the Andor trailer. It looks good on the ISB but I am not quite happy with it myself as its now.

I'd love to hear what you think of it. Here are the pictures

    MERCHANDISE
We will absolutely have the new racing shirt done and in your hands by then. If you find me and tap my shoulder while wearing one, I'll give you a sticker.  Because of the turnover and blackout periods between Legion and Detachment administrations, I'm aiming to have the 2023 IOC Celebration Patch designed and approved before January 2023. I am no longer offering pick-up of merchandise orders at the event.

    Here's a start:

Link to subsection on 501st forums

    MAPS
Google Map of convention center location. The official hotels map. The pub that will likely be packed with 501st and other clubs each night. The tube station for Heathrow (Piccadilly line). Prince Regent DLR tube station for the ExCeL center.
    AIRPORTS
Heathrow (LHR) is west of London and is likely the point of arrival for many, especially from the USA. London City Airport (LCY) is much closer but may be a less available option.

    Looking good @RobinKrennicDutch and @7959!
I think we should look into getting some higher res screen grabs if possible. Also paying particular attention to anything that’s different to other officers. This will be to see if we can justify a unique CRL for Rampart, hopefully we can!
Then we can start with the wording of the CRL text which members can discuss and refine before we create the ‘Finalising CRL Proposal’ thread.

I certainly agree. Rampart has another kind of trousers in comparison to the other officers. He also has another tunic and another kind of boots. I'll look into adding the screen shots asap. Getting that new tunic is a bit tricky to make according to my tailor.

This is just a second fitting test of Rampart. I still need to change some bits and pieces on the trousers and I look a bit tiered but I am happy with it overall. What do you guys think?

Oh looks cool. I have made a first prototype by now though I am not fully satisfied yet. it needs some polishing on the front side. Feel free to give commentary

The animated style code cylinder clips are essentially the OT clips (in silver) but without the little part that clips around the cylinder, and pokes through the pushes down the paddle-shaped part.  They haven't really been changed since we first saw them in Rebels, as I recall.

There are some good files with the OT clips posted here in one of the DIY code cylinder threads.  (I think Philo also makes them?)  Looks like the Clone Wars animated versions are slightly more squared off at the top, which is sort of in line with their animated style.

Here's a work-in-progress shot from the first set of cylinders I made, years ago.  (Just the paddle parts, not the T shaped bit that was left out)  Note the tip gets curled under to make the squared off bottom of the clip.

So I just wanted to show you guys the design of Admiral Rampart's code cylinders which I'll make at work this Friday. I'll keep you updated with the final result.

I have also noticed that Rampart doesn't have any seams in the back of his uniform. I've talked to my tailor and apparently it is impossible to do it that way as it would fit very badly in general so I will therefore just do the princess seams in the back. I will get some other code cylinders done as the clips differ from other officers.

    Hello everyone,

So for those who are interested, I have made a first version of General Rampart's collar. See the attached pics here

I am also working on making Rampart's trousers as they differ from the other officer's trousers as they are straight down instead of having the little ears

    Hello guys,

Here is another update for the Rampart CRL. My hair isn't 100% the way it should be but the uniform fits very well if I may say so. I have also managed to get the right boots. I have also included a picture of the black series figure and the fastener. It matches as you can see. I have sown the pants as it can be seen in the animated series. The tunic is the same as the classic tunic. As discussed before, I did that while it isn't possible to make a tailored suit without the seams. I am personally quite happy with the code cylinders, the white sleeve and the white collars. It has been a first try on so there is still something to be fixed with the hair and the collar but in all I am quite happy the way it turned out. What do you guys think? I am looking forward to hear your opinions.

That's a question that has no exact answer.
As an Imperial Officer you should act in character wherever the situation presents itself. And that is the key. It entirely depends on the situation.

I've known Imperial Officers to quietly ask, "you're going to be arrested, sir. Would you like it done nicely or nastily?". Of course most choose the nastily option, at which point the officer bawls his instructions and orders TK's around. Now this might be fun, and the subject might also enjoy it, but what about the 90 year old grandmother casually walking past minding her own business? So always think about the entire situation.

As open faced costumes we are the voice of the squad we are with, so think about that as well.

Generally, start with some courteous, add a little pompous, a hint of supremacy and lot of being really scared of Lord Vader. You'll then have the perfect mix.

But always, always give a smile at the end.

    -Tristan
