@ChrisLie getting a tailored tunic is not something that's financially possible for now. The fact that the sleeve length is "just" at the limit of (what I think may be) too short, is why I was hoping that the problem could be solved with the glove option.

@antihero there are no references needed, as the gloves are in the CRL under optional pieces. https://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php?/topic/15427-adding-gauntlets-to-security-officers-non-saga/ My question simply is, does "optional" mean they can be substituted in place of the standard officer gloves, or does it mean they are in addition to? In every other measurement, the tunic fits perfectly fine. As I've already said, getting tailored peices is not something that is financially possible or reasonable for me... being a disabled combat veteran has some perks, but being rich isn't one of them.

If they are under optional you can wear them. instead of the other gloves. Never saw that they have been added.

Although it looks sharp, the only reference I know of is Liuetenant Bolandin from Solo on Mimban.

I only saw Mimban Officers wear them with the rank bar on the chestplates. Never seen it otherwise and if they wore it on the Trenchcoat it was wrong or they thought it looked good.

But we DON'T have photo evidence of how the tone should look, that's the problem.  Or unique seams.  Or... anything.

Yes, that is why I also see this CRL as a problem. I agree with you. There is no 100% evidence how stuff should actually look. If there is no 100% description as you say.

To be fair you'll note we almost never cite precise RAL or Pantone colors.  Too much fodder for over-zealous GMLs.

That being said, there's usually considerably more officially-sourced reference photos or art.  Are there... any?  Even one?  I don't think a CRL has ever been made exclusively from text descriptions.

yeah ofc we dont. But we have photoevidence how the tone should look. Going by a text and saying "he wears a red cape" won't help anyone as there are 23226 million redtones

It's hard to find descriptions but we've found a couple and that's a start. With enough determination anything is possible. Plus he's a Canon officer so if we keep digging, or at this point reading the novels, we're bound to find more.

Not to disregard this, but just by going by descriptions the purpose of the CRL would be meh. As long as there is no 100% evidence how everything excatly looks it is tbh to much interpretation. what kind of red exactly? etc etc. It would have to be very accuratley written down in "this is RAL 43288238 whatever Red and is 5 inches long or so" tbh

  6. If this will pass without any visible sources from all sizes this will open a floodgate of costumes and will be a pretty huge problem in the future. Not wanting to talk bad, but I just want to say, that this is a pretty massive adventure you are taking here.

Just a single trench-coat, although I love it. It's an olive green that goes with my non-saga military officer.

Not sure if I can wear it with the V2 pants (straight pants), but here it is.

    And, with the v1 pants:

Not a huge fan of the belted look, but here's that one, too:

Just a quick note. I have one of his Black trenchcoats and the pockets are wrong and though not approvable. I still wear it to certain events though, as its comfy and I have pockets!

The boots that are used in the movies/series are sometimes the German Knobelbecher boots.

Knobelbecher boots gained notoriety during World War II and were worn by German infantry.

They get their name from the indentation on the side of the boot at the ankle that looks like a leather dice cup.

The word "Knobelbecher" means dice cup because the boots developed the characteristic dimple when they were broken in.

The standard World War II version of the Knobel mug had a leather sole with studs and a horseshoe heel. Many variants existed during the war, especially when leather became scarce. Many were made with rubber midsoles instead of leather.

The German Army Knobelbecher boots are made of sturdy black leather and stand approximately 12 inches in height.

The East German version of the Knobelbecher was of very poor quality and style.

Just as a note, those are not officer boots. Knobelbecher are used by Tie Pilots etc.
