This is where I was reading it from:
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/SE-14r_light_repeating_blaster
I’ve definitely seen both black and silver on many guns.
The standard way sold from places for this blaster is black for the bolt and front.
the CRL never states a color it does list an example, but when researching its hard to find good example pictures.
-
So I’ve been doing some more research into the slider for the Se14-R blaster and I’ve struggling to find why we have in the CRL the slider needs to be silver while every reference to the blaster I’ve seen the entire gun was black.
My main sources have been the wookiepedia and Google images.
I’m just trying to find the source before I paint mine silver.

I will check that out. Appreciate it!

Sorry if posted elsewhere.
Any advice anyone can give for make the jodhpurs look good. The boots I got are too tight to reach in and hook the straps.

Hey everyone.
What ways do y’all recommend trimming your belt?
The one I got is kinda big so I assume it needs to be cut?
Did y’all do the holes before or after cutting it?

I think there is a thread for CRL additions and updates. That would be a good start.

From my understanding you have to get an approval for every version of the costume.
so the one your asking about has 4 versions so you would need to submit another costume in.
now I could be wrong but that’s my thought process.

I thought I'd share these pictures here, which are of the 3, gray uniformed wardens that were in the prison control centre. They seem to be wearing the same style flightsuit, and officer hats, but their uniforms, seem to be made from a "Glaucous" fabric, which is a type of gray/blue??. The topstitiching on their flightsuits is again the same layout but in black rather than white. Not sure if these could classify as a "version 2" of the prison warden or if they would get labelled as a separate crl. But I hope these references help
I couldnt find any references to their boots, but I'd say they would be wearing the same style jackboots or those special electric insulated boots.
I feel like a version 2 rather than a separate CRL would be appropriate.

I’m the end this is why I decided to go for an officer wearing black. This grey uniform is stressful.

So did y’all cut the excess length off of y’all’s belt or did you leave the excess and tuck it under the belt box.
If I was to cut it what is the recommended way y’all suggest.

Your costume looks great!

I thought about poker chips case, but they're smaller than Rimowa and all silver (not black and silver).
Yea most common store poker cases I’ve seen have been silver.

I think there's a layer of plastic placed on the buckle that protects it until the buyer removes it. My old WW buckle had one.
See I had one and somehow it still has knicks really noticeable on the edge as shown in the figure.
Now whether or not I’m just being a perfectionist or not is a different question.

I just used Rustoleum spray paint on mine. Bright Coat Metallic Finish in Chrome is my go-to for nice metallic silver.
I got some a model paint to try it out, but I’d it doesn’t work I will have to try this!

Did any of y’all buy belt buckles and notice nicks on the front or sides when you got it.
I don’t think they are just entirely obvious and ruin the buckle from doing it’s job. But they are annoying.
This is what I’m talking about.
-
So the CRL states that the belt should be slightly curved. But what constitutes as that?
I got a belt off buckle off of Wampa Wear and it is curved but not very much. I also see some people on here with buckles with a very noticeable curve.
so should it be light or really noticeable

It is still pretty new maybe no one has sold it yet?
I know some companies like swamps wear sell fabric you could dye to make an outfit, but that might be a lot.
