It's a little bit late, but here are all the photos I took in Orlando plus some others I may have snagged.

bjsavage7 got a reaction from Gomcse in Official IOC Rank Guide
This may be over a lot of people's heads, but I think, given military experience, rank is rank, then cylinders are comparable to skill level/function badge/rate/then calculating LFL F-ups. Piett quickly gained all three of Ozzell's cylinders because he was taking OZELL's exact place precisely. He might have needed them for whatever responsibilities Ozzel kept. He promptly went back to his original Capt display in ROTJ (commonly accepted as a F-up of LFL, given he was still Admiral in the script). Also, Veers didn't need his single code cylinder wearing his battle armor, yet clearly wore ONE, in his garrison/on-board uniform. Cheers.

This makes the most sense to me. I don't see this character as an IN with rank ect, but a staff officer who happened to put on a helmet to aid him in those duties.

bjsavage7 reacted to Rhaethe in Your LMO Person for 2017
Hi there!
My name is Cari, and I am an LMO this term. One of six. My lead is Eric, a.k.a Darth Aloha. Same guy as last year, yes He's been stuck in the Land of Crickety Internet for the past couple weeks, so has not had a chance to come here and post, but will soon, I am sure.
Each of the LMO's will be repping and caretaking one of several Detachments. The IOC is one of mine. *cheer!*
The IOC Detachment has a lot on deck this year ... from new builds to current build edits, both major and minor. Really looking forward to working with you to get these CRL's all shiny and polished.
Good to meet you

bjsavage7 reacted to DarthAloha in Generic First Order General CRL Discussion
Actually I never said that we can't have a generic FO general in the 501st. I see no reason not to. That's basically Hux without the ginger hair requirement no?
I'm thinking maybe I posted my response in the wrong thread. I was posting about generic officers in general not generic generals.
My point was that I've read a bunch here on IOC and there's been a lot of banter and back and forth about other FO officers but no one has produced any screen references to look at. Blurry photos of the starkiller base lineup during Hux's Hilter speech aren't good enough for me.
I'm sorry for the confusion.

You saw what the LMO said. No amount of debate here will change it. The Speech scene doesn't have the details required to make the correct call. Until we have additional pics proving the other generals are dressed exactly the same as Hux, our hands are tied.
I agree with the need for this CRL, but we can't base the CRL on wants and could be, but we do lack the facts to support it.
This kind of post needs to be directed to the LMO staff, not here. It is not adding to the discussion for the other officers in the movie, it is disrupting it and it bordering on flaming. Please post only constructively in this thread or I will have no choice but to close it.

Hi folks... LMO here.
The rank or title is less important to me (general, lieutenant, sergeant, first class floor mopper) than screen references. The books are great as a backup reference but I'd like to see actual film screen captures of any costume that is proposed. Without screen references I'm loath to add it to our list of approved of costumes based on the front view in a book.
Please post what images you have here for review.
Here is the new costume approval wording:

If you do a search on line, be sure to look for English Riding, Horse-riding, Equestrian, or English Dress

bjsavage7 reacted to Dimentex in Proposed Updates to CRL Staff Officer Black to Staff Officer Rogue One
Lol. I meant more new rules being applied to Krennic and Price and Thrawn without applying them to others, but yes, I get your point.
And thanks for that clarification - in that case, would the gloves sold by Wampa wear be in your opinion good for Level 1 of an IN?

bjsavage7 got a reaction from kman in Proposed Updates to CRL Staff Officer Black to Staff Officer Rogue One
There's no "new hotness", but more of a "try desperately to update that when possible".
Oh, and to put the "decrotive stitching" to rest, that does not include the common three stitching lines found on most screen-used gloves.
