Greetings IOC,
As many of you probably did, I spent my weekend trooping at a local Theater for the opening of Solo, A Star Wars Story. Personally, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the movie was. I enjoyed it all 3 times that I viewed it.
For whatever reason, the box office didn't explode for it and the haters that suggested a boycott have declared a victory. It saddens me that any fan of the Star Wars universe would take pleasure in the possible failure of any Star Wars film.
I've been a fan since I saw the first movie in the theater in 1977. At that time, we didn't have the instant response of the internet or more specifically, social media. We we're all starving for anything Star Wars and felt lucky to see our favorite Star Wars Characters in any way. Donnie and Marie, The Muppet Show and The Holiday Special are what we got and we were appreciative.
To see fans that call themselves "True fans", reveling in the low numbers at the box office is just baffling to me. Who knows what the exact factors of the low numbers may be? Who cares? It is still the top of the box office this week, it's still a great movie, it was entertaining and interesting. What do they want? The end of Star Wars again? I was excited when the Thrawn Trilogy breathed life back into my favorite universe, I don't want that universe to go dark again.
I must say, the 501st family seems to be of the same mind on this subject. Most of the comments from them are mostly positive. But some of the rabid Star Wars fan groups are just beating it to death, in fact, I had to leave one of my favorites due to the negative comments. They can't possibly think that the removal of Kathleen Kennedy will transform the movies back to their personal vision of what they want the movies to be...these are the same fanboys that came down on George Lucas and the Prequels.
I have enjoyed anything that has extended the story of the Star Wars Universe and I take it at face value, a great fantasy and interesting entertainment. Any chance to keep the dream alive is great with me.
Thanks for reading my rant,
Enjoy life...enjoy Star Wars!!!
May the Force be with You...Always!!

Officially, it was only seen with the rain poncho/cape. I have seen pictures of members wearing a hat with the regular cape. It would depend on how official your event was and what your Garrison's official rules would be.
Personally, I've never worn a hat with mine.

Good luck!

I want to bring up a point as to specific characters. For example, the Black staff officer for ANH, was generic for all the ANH Officers, but, the L3 requires that screen used officer is emulated for Imperator. There are just too many different Officers to make a separate CRL for all of them. But you can do an L3 version of any of them you wish.
The same will apply for the Generic FO Officers. We will add that to the L3 for the FO Officer CRL, to be similar to the other officers.
I'd love to have a separate CRL for every Officer, but that just isn't in the cards.
If someone creates a costume for the FO/Battlefront Officer(Generic), we can explore that CRL as well.
Just as a matter of record, I was all for the Mitaka CRL originally, but the LMO felt differently.

Sounds like something we can look into for sure.

Hi there everyone.
I just want to make a quick announcement about the CRL process. Since we have a new LMO rep this year and a New LMO in charge of the LMO office, there will be a brief delay in any updates for new CRL being finalized or published. Hopefully by mid March, things will be up and running. However, that doesn't mean the preliminary work in this forum needs to stop.
Thanks for all the great input.

If I'm understanding what you're asking, most every costume has a different prefix. All the officers are ID, crewman are IC, Navy troopers are IN. I'm not sure what BT would be but if you are doing a scanner crewman, you will be IC 445.

What State do you live in?

Mine is cast in resin. Some countries have trouble with metal replicas while trooping, but if your country is ok with it, I'm sure it will be a great addition to your costume.

If the chalk holder is modified, it can used for basic approval. The CRL does say:
Of course, a better quality replica would be better in the long run, but you can make due with these in the mean time.
Good luck!
