1000% agree on that it has to fit. Easiest approach is measure all of the dimensions on your body that the flightsuit size table has. Add ~2cm to any measurement you take. Order the flightsuit that meets ALL measurements. It’s easier to tailor it down than find material to make it larger.

“Operations” in the real military (not to be confused with “operators”, who are Special Forces personnel) can mean Pilots, squadron commanders, gunners, random air-crew positions, and their various support personnel, so take the operations title with a grain of salt. 

Depends on which ANH Staff Officer.  If you're referring to the true "451-style" Staff Officer, the true ANH Staff Officer, then yes, that'll be an issue, as those aren't Canon ranks for that costume.  That costume is specific to the movie version, so only on-screen rank examples are approved.
 
If you just mean the regular generic black Staff Officer, then it is likely fine ("Staff Officer, Black"), because that version incorporates examples from other Canon sources (comics, etc.).

Please do, and share what they say.  As I'm sure you noticed, Hessen is one of - if not THE - premier boot suppliers.

To children: "Do you like school? The Emperor needs smart cadets. Do you want to fly tie fighters? Or storm rebel bases as a storm trooper? Or crush rebellion will driving AT-ATs? Or would you rather command all of that and more as an Imperial Officer?"

When one of our Mandelorean Mercs comes by, "Bounty hunters, we don't need their scum. Those rebels won't escape us."

Other misc phrases:
We have a visitor.

Good. Our first catch of the day.

Track them! They may come round for another pass.

Alert Command. Deploy the fleet.

We have thousands of probes searching the Galaxy.

Take this... thing, to the detention block.

Hi there everyone.
 
I just want to make a quick announcement about the CRL process.  Since we have a new LMO rep this year and a New LMO in charge of the LMO office, there will be a brief delay in any updates for new CRL being finalized or published.  Hopefully by mid March, things will be up and running.  However, that doesn't mean the preliminary work in this forum needs to stop.

I'd say a standard pressing should be enough to pass inspection. A military crease would look good on straight trousers though.

How wide are we talking? Usually boot shaft width is relative to overall boot size. There are a few proven methods of widening them; ball & air pump, water & soda bottle, ect. The best way would be to take them to a professional cobbler for stretching.

There's a mixture of 1 part rubbing alcohol and 2 parts water in a spray bottle that can help it stretch. You spray the solution inside and outside the area you want to stretch. Let it soak for a moment then put on the boot so it'll dry to the shape. You may have to do this a few times cause it's a gradual process.

So in ANH, Captain Khurghee is in an olive uniform, and he is in charge of a detail of troops inspecting the Millennium Falcon. I have always thought he must be an army captain and not a ships captain, given his duties. He has six amber rank tiles in a row.

Not crazy.  They are different, but that's from the tiles being slightly larger.

I've gone ahead and switched things like my signature pics on the different forums over to Imgur and so far so good.  It's a lot cleaner than Photobucket without all of those awful ads.  I'll use that now for any new pics that I post and when my Photobucket links die, I guess I'll decide at that time which ones if any to move over to keep my photo 'legacy' in place! 

For anyone unaware Photobucket does have an option to download your images as one folder. Go to your library, on the right side of the page under Share This Album there is another section Actions, download album is there.
 
Not everyone has been affected as yet, but it's only a matter of time,  unless you want to pay for Photobucket hosting

Because I used the link feature to force it not to show as a picture. If you put it as an image from URL or directly paste the link it shows. If that doesn't make sense PM me.

Mine is still working for now so we shall see.  Photobucket is just awful with all of the ads, I sure wish we could link from Google Photos.   

Custom is the way to go. I can normally pull off the shelf and have it fit. I went one size up for my flightsuit from CPS and it was all sorts of wrong. A buddy had the size I normally wear and it was to tight.

Definitely spend the extra for custom. The material is decent, at least for the Flightsuit.

I would order nothing else but a custom made uniform. Some parts are very difficult to change if they do not fit properly.

I really think the custom vs off-the-rack would depend on your body type. If you're a "standard size", you might have a lot of luck with off-the-rack stuff. For me though, even though Im a pretty standard size, I always go custom. 

I recently received a CosplaySky staff officer uniform using custom measurements and they were spot-on.  I literally did not have to do anything to it for a good fit.
 
Of course, I haven't been approved yet, but...

You would be much better if going custom. I purchased off the shelf XL. It fit perfectly most areas except the neck was a bit too big. My tailor couldn't do anything about the neck. I ordered custom, neck fit perfectly, tailor just adjusted the length of the sleeves up 1/2" and added stirrups. Go custom, you'll save money in the end by not having your tailor making all kinds of alterations.
